Alien Space Nazis Must Die! is a wild, action-packed ride through the absurd and the awesome. Lars Janssen is the kind of over-the-top hero who can punch, quip, and swagger his way out of any ridiculous scenario—whether it’s a doomed Nazi KillMoon or a monster-infested combat pit. The whole thing is an explosive mix of sci-fi, satire, and sheer lunacy, and I couldn’t put it down. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it even more fun. If you love fast-paced action with a heavy dose of humor, this book is for you.

Alright, listen up, space cowboys and sci-fi junkies—this book is bananas in the best way possible. Alien Space Nazis Must Die! is like if Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and a late-night fever dream had a baby and raised it on pure adrenaline and sarcasm. Lars Janssen? Certified legend. Pocket knife vs. alien army? No problem. Nazi KillMoon explosions? Just another Tuesday. If you’re looking for deep, philosophical sci-fi… yeah, this ain’t it. But if you want over-the-top action, outrageous humor, and a hero who probably winks at himself in the mirror, you need this book in your life. 🚀🔥

I heard about this tale from a blurb in the author's story Time with a Cat. The description provides a great lead for the story, as they say the devil is in the details. A quick read that raises interesting questions.
Thanks Netgalley and Daft Notions for the chance to read this story!

[Big thanks to BookBuzz, net, Daft Notions, and NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review!]
A breezy little read about killing space Nazis, base instincts, and the nature of reality.
Alien Space Nazis Must Die! is a tough letdown. It wants to land somewhere between Austin Powers, Ready Player One, and Indiana Jones—an aim I admire from a deep crouch as the shots miss spectacularly. I'm so bummed! I was ready for a campy, anti-fascist Aussie comedy and instead I got rough world-building refmats for the actual first draft you go on to write. More telling than showing, occasional almost-chuckle humor, and an unsatisfying ending given the questions our characters at least bounce off of. The conclusion is actually the most engaging part, though, as it at least subverts the audience's expectations. To what end? Who knows! The novella has no interest in exploring its own claims.
I almost wish ASNMD! had gone for a Death With Dignity commentary—it'd be a hell of a lot more compelling, and the basic setup is there. But hey, it's 64 pages, read it and let me know if you agree!

Just finished "Alien Space Nazis Must Die," by Chuck McKenzie. It's a short read, about struggling with your inner nature in the face of overwhelming odds, the ethics of imposing your beliefs on others, and not judging books by their covers.
