He wants to move on with his new wife and family and has plans to move to Australia.

Allison needs closure too but is racked with anxiety and needs to know the true facts. Sams body has never been recovered so she doesnt quite believe he's dead.

This is a pacy and intense read, it is also quite tragic for all involved but are things as they seem..

I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to talk about with my fellow readers.

A great read which was sad at times, 10 years on will Alison ever find out what happened to Sam.

She can't have him declared dead until she finds out

We see her relationship with her family as the not knowing takles its toll

This was a really great read, I felt a lot of conflict for the characters as the story was unfolding. Great writing, thanks for the early access

Good but quite melodramatic, especially the description of kneeling at a grave, hand punched into the air, palm open, screaming your dead son's name and promising answers.

This isn't my first read by these authors and I'll likely go on to read more by them. This one, unfortunately, wasn't their best, because you do have to suspend disbelief quite a bit, with a dodgy solicitor; a retired FLO who supposedly never left this unremarkable case alone; a child psych who had reservations but didn't speak up; the tale having elements from only 10 years ago, in days of CCTV pretty much everywhere but in the areas where Sam went missing; a child with clear issues, and family dynamics that weren't really believable or explained. It's like the authors tried too hard with their pale-pink, not red, herrings and it didn't work. They didn't go into enough detail, not even in the epilogue where Kane's dad wasn't even mentioned. Sigh.

Alison is through a lot in her life, has the scars to prove it. She Isn't a pleasantly person imo. When her ex wants to declare their son decised, a whole other cans of worms is about to be opened. Secrets and skeletons from the closet are come to light, the characters die like flies and I still had no clue what really was going on. Told in past and present pov.

I am very very sorry I actually could not get into this book the writing was everywhere and I couldnt understand what was going on I could not finish I may try later to read it again but I just think the writing isnt very clear and its inconsistant

Overly active imagination and finding conspiracy all around her leads her on a quest to finally discover what really happened on the beach, the day that Sam was swept out to sea.
Good read.
