This was my first book by this author, and it won't be my last. The Nanny Share is filled with unexpected twists and suspense. The story follows the disappearance of two young girls from a wealthy gated community—both cared for by the same nanny, Julie. As secrets unravel, suspicions grow, and everyone seems to be hiding something. The book's characters are layered and unreliable, making it difficult to know who to trust. It has deception, tension, unpredictable twists, and an ending you will never see coming. It is a must-read for fans of thrillers.
I received the audiobook of this book, and I thought the narration was great.

Can't say I enjoyed this one much. The characters felt flat and impersonal, I had a hard time keeping up with who was who because they all sounded the same and the twists were predictable and didn't save the story. The writing was decent, however, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This novel had an interesting concept, but was not well executed. The back and forth from the different characters displayed different situations, but the nanny’s parts were confusing and alluded to things that had not yet been revealed. I felt in the dark and this made me lose interest. I know the suspense was supposed to keep me satisfied until the end, but it did not work. As an avid psychological thriller consumer, I can say with confidence that this formula fell flat for me.
I am thankful for the opportunity to listen to this book, so many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. I feel sad about the several less than pleasing reviews I have given as of late. Honesty is the best policy!

Recently, I had the privilege of listening to The Nanny Share audiobook, and I’m so glad I did! This story is suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Told from multiple points of view, the daughters of two wealthy families go missing. They both have the same nanny. But is the nanny at fault for the disappearance or is there something more sinister at play?
If you loved The Housemaid or The Perfect Marriage, you’ll love this thriller filled with twists and turns. I usually have trouble with stories told by multiple characters-especially in audiobook format. However, the narrator has an impressive range of voices that made it so much easier to keep track of everyone! Thank you to Emily Shriner, Ashley Rose Kaplan, and Bookuture Audio!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. The narrator did a good job. I think that this story could have been cut a little shorter, there was a lot of dead boring parts. But it was okay for a thriller suspense mystery type book.

This is my first book by Emily Shiner and I enjoyed it.
The story has plenty of twists and turns, I'd categorise it as a domestic thriller with quite a large cast. Interestingly none of the characters were very likable at all which meant I didn't find myself rooting for them.
On the whole this is a good choice for a holiday read / listen.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC which was very much appreciated.

When two kids disappear on the same day, the lives of two couples are set to change in ways they never expected.
This book was tough to review because I'm unsure how I feel about it. I liked the different perspectives and found the story entertaining and exciting. It has lots of twists, and the audio narration is great, but I didn't enjoy the ending.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the free copy of the book.

Holy smokes!! This book was fast paced, full of action, and packed so many twists! What a convoluted web of drama, lies and deceit.
Blackwood is an upscale, gated community. Julie is the nanny for two two different families whose little girls both go missing, Is Julie guilty? Who took these two best friends? The police are called in to search for the missing girls, and boy do things pick up from there. The plot develops from multiple POVs and timelines, which helps pull all of the pieces together. All of the characters have secrets, and as the investigation proceeds, we learn that everyone has secrets. This upscale neighborhood has all the domestic drama! My mouth dropped multiple times while listening to this book. The author did a great job building suspense, and the ending gave me whiplash in the best way possible with all of the reveals. I really enjoyed the flashbacks to the past that gave the characters depth. I loved the detective, Kate's, character. Shiner writes short chapters that make you want to continue reading. This has to be one of my favorite books by this author. I highly recommend this fast-paced, action packed popcorn thriller!
Ashley Rose Kaplan did a great job narrating and helped bring this story to life.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I recently listened to Nanny Share, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The novel had a gripping storyline that kept me hooked from start to finish. It was fast-paced, filled with suspense, and had some great twists that I didn’t see coming. The characters were interesting and well-developed, making it easy to get invested in their lives and decisions.
One of the aspects I enjoyed most was how the story was told from multiple perspectives. This added depth to the narrative and kept things engaging as I saw events unfold from different angles. The shifting viewpoints also built suspense, making me eager to see how everything would come together!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the advance listener copy of The Nanny Share by Emily Shiner.
I absolutely loved the book! I was captivated from the very start and couldn’t stop listening, eager to find out what would happen next. The ending completely shocked me. I highly recommend it!
The book was narrated by Ashley Rose Kaplan. She did a great job voicing all the different characters.

A Twisty, Unputdownable Domestic Thriller
Emily Shiner’s The Nanny Share is a masterfully crafted psychological thriller that keeps you guessing until the final, jaw-dropping twist. With an unreliable narrator, dark secrets lurking behind gated community walls, and a chilling mystery at its core, this book hooks you from the very first page. The tension builds relentlessly as the nanny’s past comes under scrutiny, making every chapter more gripping than the last.

This was actually a really good twisty thriller. So many shocking moments that I didn’t see coming which is one of the things I love in thrillers. I was hooked pretty early and it just kept going. My first from this author but I’ll be reading more for sure.

I LOVE Emily Shiner; her books are always great! This was a fantastic read that kept me entertained and HOOKED!

When two little girls go missing from the same block in an exclusive neighbourhood, the only thing that seems to link them is that they share a nanny. The nanny becomes the prime suspect, but then secrets are revealed and both families have been hiding things. Will the children be found before it's too late?
I listened to the audiobook and found it to be fast paced and easy to listen to. The story was well written and I found it enjoyable, but it didn't grip me as much as I would have liked.
My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.

At first I thought “another book with the same plot” but as the book goes on, you get more and more twists, especially at the end. Sometimes things felt repetitive, but overall it kept my interest. I would recommend this book. I “read” it via audiobook and probably would have liked it better as a physical book- it was sometimes hard to remember characters as it switched back and forth on audio.

The Nanny Share by Emily Shiner is an absolute rollercoaster of a psychological thriller. From the very first chapter, I felt like I was piecing together a jigsaw puzzle, with every twist and turn revealing a new, shocking piece of the story. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the narrative flipped again, keeping me completely hooked.
The suspense in this book is relentless. Secrets are revealed like earthquakes, sudden, intense, and completely shattering. Each revelation pulled me deeper into the story, making it impossible to put the book down. The characters are layered and unpredictable, and the tension builds masterfully, leaving you questioning who to trust.
Emily Shiner has crafted a dark, gripping tale that fans of psychological thrillers will devour. If you love books that keep you on edge, second guessing everything, The Nanny Share is an absolute mustread.

So good!!! This book had me on edge, I had to know what happened to the kids…. Where they were. And woah all the red flags, and she’s just got her rose colored glasses on…..

lots of twists and turns throughout the whole story and kept me guessing until the end. i love a domestic thriller with tons of drama and this was definitely that. i found myself feeling a little confused and overwhelmed with the amount of people/POVs but once i got it i was able to follow along easily, narration was great!

This is a gripping psychological thriller that I read in a day! None of the characters can be depended on as trustworthy, so it’s a guessing game of the secrets & villains. A fave author, Emily Shiner’s latest is one to add to your TBR!
Ashley Rose Kaplan did a great job voicing the different characters in each chapters!
Thank you, Emily Shiner’, Bookouture, Bookouture audio & netgalley, for my early gifted copy & audiobook! All opinions are my own.

The Nanny Share by Emily Shiner starts with an intriguing premise but quickly loses its grip. The characters are largely unlikeable, making it difficult to invest in their fates, and the novel is bogged down by relentless, almost mechanical reminders that everyone has secrets. The plot meanders so much that the central mystery—two missing little girls—often feels like an afterthought rather than the driving force of the story. By the time the overly dramatic and somewhat implausible ending arrives, it’s hard to feel much satisfaction. While the book has moments of tension, it ultimately fails to deliver a truly compelling thriller.
