What an adorably romantic cover and story! I enjoyed this light read about Bella and Joe. I think Twice did a great job developing both of the characters and their relationship storyline. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

‘I remember the first time I saw her. It was the week my restaurant had opened. Steam rose from the pots, fogging up the windows, but her voice cut cleanly through the haze.
“Can I get a chicken pizza?’ She asked.’
Joe has set up his own business making the best pizzas in Calitain.
Bella works in a commercial company, working harder than all the executives but constantly being ignored for her efforts.
They know of each other, they’ve seen eachother but it’s not until a Gala and grief when their paths entirely cross.
We love a slow burn romance with characters you can relate to. We have all had some kind of experience with sexism in a workplace or being ignored for all the hard work you have completed. ‘I was stuck in a cubicle, lonely, while my boss acted like he could pimp me out to some sleazy client.’ Or, wanting to succeed in your passion but needing the confidence boost.
There is nothing more attractive than a man who shows his passion throughout his work: ‘This place was my dream, built on passion and a genuine love for creating good food. I wasn’t about to hand over my kitchen to just anyone.’
The Pizza Man is a slow-burn romance which allows you to fall in love with the characters and plot. You want them to want eachother throughout, you want the best for both and you never stop caring about these two characters.
I would have loved to have an ending to the storyline with Werner and Grayson beyond what we had. However the romance and connection between the characters made up for it.
