I was so excited for Cole and Ginger’s story and it did not disappoint. I adore them! I am a sucker for an accidental wedding and this one was perfect.

Cole is protective, sweet and the best dad to his 8 year old daughter, Mabel. I loved their relationship so much. Add in the fact that he’s the county Sheriff and you can’t get much better 😍🫠

I love Ginger so much. She’s sassy, funny and so caring. Seeing her bond with Mabel melted my heart. They are the best of friends 😭

This was a steamy, heart warming read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This is my favourite in the series so far. Ginger's sass & Cole's, well, Coleness (I know, not a word, but read it & you'll get it). The chemistry between these two is perfect. I'm not normally a huge fan of friends to lovers, but maybe it's the secrecy in this one that makes it work.

As always I loved the fact we were checking in with characters we already knew & there were hints about what was to come.

The perfect blend of spice, humour & plot.

Cole and ginger are everything. This book was the one I was more anticipated for and god I love it . Theres something about these 2 pretending to not get on in public yet behind closed doors being friends and spending time together watching BROOKLYN 99. Now im a big Brooklyn 99 fan .

I do wish Cole wasn’t a cop cus cop romances aren’t exactly my cup of tea but I can forgive him because hes literally amazing . For me i already knew that Cole was a sheriff cus again I read the past 2 books last year . This did not feel like a cop romance though thank god . It didn’t really focus on the fact he was a cop often thank god ( also he’s the town sheriff).

For those wondering ( like myself ) THERE IS NO 3rd act breakup so rest assured . They don’t break up !!

I also love ginger and Mabel ( Cole’s daughter’s) relationship . It’s so sweet and adorable and I love it. Seeing them bond without the whole “nanny aspect “ ginger is basically Mable’s nanny but it never feels that way because of how well the two get on how well GINGER IS WITH HER . It could be because ginger is actually an elementary school teacher . The way ginger treated Mabel like she was her own daughter ( caring in the way a mother would )

Cole had me swooning so hard - the way he aaah . This man is out here doing everything he can for ginger .

The fact that the past 2 books hint at Cole and ginger really hyped me up for their book . THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. This book was definitely worth waiting for like it was everything I wanted it to be and more .

The spice had me swooning ( which is perfect for me especially since recently spice has kinda bored me. I love the chemistry between cole and ginger + the emotions between them. The spice was hot and wasn’t overwhelming and actually added to the plot . It was emotional in fact . I absolutely ate the spice up .

This book might be my fave book in the series. ( because of everything it had me swooning so hard )

The fact Mable and ginger call themselves daddy’s girls. ( as in COLES GIRLs) had me aaah.

I am Excited for the next book fr . This is a series that rivals the chestnut spring series for me . Like it truly rivals it and I absolutely love it .

The found family in this series .
The whole fmcs being friends
The fact this is a small town romance series
The fact the first 3 books has had one of the love interests be one of the Ashby siblings . First book cece
Second book : Wade - 3rd book : Cole .

Riding the High follows Ginger and Cole, who during a drunken night in Vegas, impulsively get married. To protect their futures, they decide to keep up the act until the time is right. But as the pair are forced to spend an increasing amount of time in each other’s company, sparks fly and their accidental marriage starts to feel dangerously real.

The author did a great job of developing the backstory between Ginger and Cole. I enjoyed the banter and the back and forth dynamic between them, but I wish their romance had been more of a slow burn. I feel like everything happened too quickly, which made the middle portion of the book feel very drawn out.

The spice scenes were okay, but I am personally not a fan of dirty talk, which this book had a lot of - some of it made me really cringe. Personally, I prefer one or two steamy scenes, but this had LOTS of steam! For me, the ratio of plot to steam was unbalanced. However, this is personal preference, so if you do like a lot of spicy scenes, you may really love this book.

As well as enjoying Cole and Ginger’s dynamic, I also really enjoyed Ginger’s relationship with Cole’s daughter, Mabel. It was very sweet!

I appreciated the lack of a third-act breakup, and the epilogue was sweet. However, the ending of the epilogue seemed like a little overkill.

Overall, this book was a quick, lighthearted read. I think if you enjoy spice, you could like this one, but I found it a little too spice heavy and lacking plot for me to rate it any higher. Thank you to Random House UK/Penguin and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The first 30% of “Riding the High” were really nice! Very pleasant to read, good characters, great banter.
I don’t know what happened after that, but it somehow fell a bit flat for me and, at times, almost dragged a bit too much.

There was a constant back and forth between Cole & Ginger about wanting each other, but somehow hesitating because of the circumstances, but then also incapable of not being around each other and obviously monologues about how hot the other person is.
The dirty talk was..fine in some moments and just too much in others. Wasn’t feeling it really.

There wasn’t necessarily a third act breakup but addressing the elephant in the room with “this..*us* was a mistake.” is also not *it*. I expect more from a 30 year old man.

I was also disappointed that we didn’t get to read the conversation between Ginger and her dad, because that seemed rather important for Ginger’s character and that relationship (very clearly) needed some work. Same goes for the 180 degree turn around of her father through the text he sent her. Like? That is most definitely not the same character that appeared thus far throughout the book.

Secret star of the book was Mable, Cole’s daughter. No questions asked.
The epilogue was cute, while also being too much towards the end.

There were a decent amount of scenes from the characters of the previous books, which was nice.
I’m not sure yet if I will read the other books in the series (probably will though), but I will keep an eye out on other books by the author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this spicy cowboy romance. It's a bit of fun but the characters are well rounded and believable. You know where the story is going to end up but it's a fun journey to get there with some hot and spicy moments on the way.

I have been so excited to read Ginger's story and as expected 'Riding the High' did not disappoint!

Ginger and Cole have kept their friendship hidden from their friends and family but a drunken and impulsive night in Vegas soon changes that. The pair find themselves hitched which causes problems for them both. Cole is trying to secure his permanent role as the sheriff and Ginger is the daughter of a congressman. As the pair spend more and more time together, their love for each other begins to grow.

This book has all the tropes we know and love: friends to lovers, single dad, best-friends brother, force proximity.

This girl loves a small/town cowboy romance and this is my favourite cowboy romance series so far!

This series just keeps getting better!

I knew i was going to love this book just because Ginger has been a favourite throughout the series but after reading this I somehow love her more!!

I love how we were given a bit more back story to Ginger and Cole’s relationship and see how much history they actually have together! I’m also a complete sucker for an accidental Vegas wedding!

The chemistry between them was on point! Surprisingly i really enjoyed reading about Ginger and Mabel and seeing their relationship blossom, it was heartwarming and really well written!

My fave book in this series so far ❤️‍🔥

I’ve been waiting for this book since I read the first book in the series and it did not disappoint, I couldn’t put it down.

I loved Cole and Ginger, their chemistry, friendship, bond and connection was everything I wanted from their story. It was full of gorgeous moments, lots of laughter and of course we had the spice.

What I love about Paisley’s writing is the support characters, she adds as much depth to them and you really get to know everyone along the way. I adored the bond between Cole and his daughter Mabel, it was so special.

Overall this was such a fab, spicy, gorgeously romantic read.

Ugh, I absolutely adored this book! I knew that I loved this series, but this book totally confirmed this again. - 5 STARS!
I knew I had to read about Cole and Ginger, because you could feel the chemistry between them already, and I was not disappointed - the chemistry was definitely there!!! 🔥I was giggling and kicking my feet when Cole called her "Mrs. Ashby" after a drunken night out, when they got married!!
Mabel was the cutest little girl and the relationship she formed with Ginger was just heartwarming. Cole being the town sheriff was quite hot, and Ginger? I want to be her ;)
The scene at Nash and Ceces charity hockey game in the end? Made me cry a little, that was so romantic. <3
Can't wait for the next book(s) in the series!

I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone, especially those you loved Heartless by Elsie Silver as it was giving me some of the same vibes!

All the stars!

This is absolutely my new favorite Paisley book. I knew from when I first ARC read indie published Holding the Reins, that I was going to be in love with Cole and Ginger’s story, but I think it even exceeded my expectations which were already so high!

The banter we got between them in the first two books led up to a drunk game of truth or daily that resulted in the married in Vegas, and the PERFECT story! On top of that, single dad is my all time favorite trope and Paisley wrote this beautifully!

Ginger is such a free spirit and I love the connection she already had with Mabel and that blossomed as she took care of her all summer. And of course the relationship with Coleman and his daughter. I loved the background we got on Cole and Ginger’s relationship/friendship. It was just so freaking special!

This book had SO MUCH story and it had me laughing, sweating and crying. The book also had IMPECCABLE spice. I mean SHE handcuffed HIM to the bed with his own handcuffs?! Say less! I can’t wait to revisit this story and I’m excited to see where Paisley takes Silver Pines next!

Thank you so much to Paisley and Random House UK for the eARC and Dell for the physical ARC copy!

Read this book for:
🌻Accidental marriage
🚔Single dad
🌻Friends to Lovers
🚔Little sisters best friend
🌻Small town
🚔No third break-up act

Synopsis
Cole Ashby has spent his life building stability for his daughter Mabel, while Ginger Danforth has spent hers trapped by expectations. A reckless bachelor and bachelorette weekend in Vegas leaves them bound together by a marriage neither saw coming—but one they both suddenly need. To protect their futures (his job and her dad’s re-election), they agree to keep up the act until the dust settles. Yet, as their forced proximity ignites something undeniable, the risks of staying married begin to outweigh the risks of walking away. What happens when a spontaneous mistake turns into the best thing either of them never saw coming?

My Thoughts
This is the third book in the Silver Pines Ranch series. While it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with the first two books. Not only will this give you a deeper connection to the other characters, but it will also help you avoid any potential spoilers. Out of all three books, this one is my favorite!

The story follows Cole Ashby, a devoted single dad who wants nothing more than to build a stable life for his daughter, and Ginger Danforth, the bold and spirited daughter of a Kentucky congressman who is eager to break free from the expectations placed upon her. When a wild weekend in Vegas leads to an unexpected marriage, the two strike a deal, stay secretly wed until Cole secures his position as sheriff and Ginger’s father wins re-election. It seems like a simple arrangement, but as they spend more time together, their undeniable chemistry makes it harder to remember that their marriage was supposed to be temporary.

I absolutely loved the push-and-pull dynamic between Ginger and Cole. Ginger’s sass and strong personality made her such a fun character, but deep down, she’s a true people-pleaser, especially when it comes to family, who always puts others before herself. And Cole? He’s a walking green flag; steadfast, responsible, and always putting his daughter Mabel first. Their slow-burn romance was so well written, and I found myself completely immersed in their journey.

This book had everything I love heartfelt emotions, sizzling chemistry, and a romance that felt both real and swoon-worthy and amazing references to Brooklyn 99 such as the names of their dogs. I enjoyed every second of it and can’t wait to read the next book featuring Hayden and Cassie in the Silver Pines Ranch series!

I received an e-ARC from NetGalley of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Riding the High is the third installment in the Silver Pines series by Paisley Hope. Paisley has a way in making her characters so relatable that you can’t help but find yourself emotionally attached to them as well as their story full of struggles and triumphs. You find yourself smiling, laughing, crying, kicking your feet joyful and sitting on the edge of your seat as you become invested even more in the beloved characters that she has introduced previously. She paints such a beautiful setting that you feel you are right there with them.

I loved everything about Cole and Ginger’s story. The plot was so well paced and simultaneously blended romance and drama with humor throughout. The single dad relationship with his daughter, as well, was absolutely beautiful. This story is so much more than just an accidental marriage and I will be recommending to many.

As soon as I read "small town romance" and "cowboy," I knew I had to read this book. When you combine these two elements and add the "enemies to lovers" trope, it can only be a great read. Even though I haven't read the first two books in the series, I thoroughly enjoyed this third one. I loved Ginger's free-spirited and sunny personality; she is truly an independent woman, and I saw a lot of myself in her character. I can't help but mention Cole, a devoted father who lives by his routine and seems a bit gruff, but deep down, he has a tender side. The two of them together spark fireworks, not to mention that Vegas wedding, which was the cherry on top. At some points in the book, I wished there was more communication between them, but I adored all of their interactions. Now I'm off to read the other books in the series!

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Penguin and Paisley Hope for this special ARC🩵

I have been waiting for Gingers book since the beginning because her personality and fire just make for an insane character. Free spirited Ginger & Routine Cole are the epitome of connection. They have intimacy, banter and soooo much lust.

The friends to lovers element I’ve grown to absolutely love, and these two are friends who have so much care for eachother. Cole isn’t just Cece’s brother, he is someone who Ginger can call in the night when she needs a favour, and vice versa, when Cole wants needs Ginger, she is a call away. Also Miss Paisley, I praise you for making favours sexy sexy🥵

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS BABY DEFINITELY DOES NOT STAY IN VEGAS!!! Especially when you drunkenly get married to your best friends brother who is your secret friend that you’ve called favours in with for years. So how do you go around this? Well you make some rules, but these rules will forever be broken 🤭

Mabel and Ginger just bounce off eachother, their humour and relationship together is just brilliant. The two just bounce off eachother, and the way Mabel can depend on Ginger, made my heart burst with emotion.

The spicy was SPICING!!! Paisley Hope never fails to write spice that is absolutely unreal. Sheriff Cole Weston Ashby the praise kingggg, and a feral man. And Miss Ginger Lily Danforth the firecracker who makes Cole weak in the knees🫠

Glad that we get to see how the rest of the family has developed also between the books. It gives a proper insight into all their lives and you feel like it really builds into the storyline. I love all the characters in this series, and they all are just one big family who adore and will do anything for eachother.

THIS WAS PERFECTION TO A TEE❤️‍🔥

Paisley Hope has kept up with the theme on this brilliant series, this book follows the path of Cole and Ginger and brings much hope, happiness and sex along the way of uncertainty and disruption.

Paisley hope has confirmed her place as one of my auto buy authors with this third instalment of Silver Pines Ranch series.
You don’t really need to read the previous two books but you should just because how great the whole series is and you get glimpses of these two main characters in the previous two books.
I really enjoyed this forced proximity/ fake marriage / marriage of convenience. It created for some really sweet family moments and these characters were ultimate friendship goals to begin with but add in the romance and off the charts!

I received this book as an ARC and provide an honest review

This book was EVERYTHING! I was so excited to see it Ginger & Cole’s story. Paisley writes the best romance stories, whether it’s cowboy or a man in uniform.
The single dad trope, the connection between Mabel & Ginger, pulled on my heart strings so many times. I did find myself shedding a few tears throughout this book.
The build up of these characters was perfect. I wish we got a little extract of the Vegas wedding / night! i wanted all the nitty gritty details
Thank you for letting me read this ARC copy, I will still be getting the paperback trophy!

I was really anticipating this book, and I am so gutted to admit that it just didn't work for me. I do love Paisley Hope and her previous books are great - I will definitely be reading the next story in this series too. However, this just took a little too long for me to get into, and by the time I did I just wasn't that invested in Ginger and Cole's story. The spice, as always, was fab though!
I'm rating this 2.5 stars, but I've rounded it up to 3 stars here.

Thank you so much to Random House UK for the ARC via NetGalley and for giving me the opportunity to share my honest thoughts on this book.

My goodness. This has been my most highly anticipated read of the year so far and Paisley Hope does not disappoint, ever. I love Ginger and Cole so much. From Holding The Reins and Training The Heart, I just knew I was going to love their story. I love Nash and Cece and Wade and Ivy but Cole and Ginger and Mabel may have just stolen my heart. Absolutely obsessed, I could not put it down. Their banter has always been my favorite since the beginning. The ending and the epilogue just about did me in, talk about waterworks! I cannot wait to see what’s next for Silver Pines!

Thank you to NetGalley, Paisley Hope, and Random House for allowing me to read and give my feedback!
