Can I just start by saying that Julie girl, you are a psycho 😂😭
What a debut this is by Jennifer Holdich! I love listening to audiobooks when it’s mainly internal dialogue & I believe this would also read very well as a physical / ebook!
It was giving Baby Reindeer but in the best way! I couldn’t stop listening because I needed to know what Julie was up to next! 🤯
We follow Julie 49, with her basic excel job - but you best believe no one could possibly take her place, her lovely home - albeit filled with some very obscure art 👀🐈😬 & the love of her life, well her current one anyway. Only one thing stands in her way, the love of his life 👀! The story jumps back & forth through Julie’s life & we meet some of her previous loves also, I mean they clearly did love her right?!
I gasped & I giggled throughout 🙌🏻
I would recommend this if you enjoy unhinged women & don’t wanna think too hard about what’s going on!

**Listened to the audio book**
I really struggled with this book. I found it to be very slow, and lacking originality. Its very similar to Sweet Pea, but it is pretty poor in comparison. I found the main character very unlikeable (I appreciate her actions are not very likeable, but you should still be rooting for your protagonist in some shape or form)
I don't think i will remember this book long after reading. Just a bit meh.
That being said, I did enjoy the performance of the narrator.

5 ⭐️ ALL THE WAY!! Wow this book is just everything!
I wasn’t expecting much going in so was shocked that I loved it so much. Funny as F#%K🤣 lovvvved all the characters and was so sad when it came to the end .
Congratulations to the author ✍️ ❤️

This was my first ever audio book and I really enjoyed it
Literally laughed at loud a few times.
Julie is definitely a psychopath.
I was left shocked so many times
I brought some head phones and listened to this in 2 sittings I just couldn’t stop
I actually really liked Julie 🙈

Thank you for allowing me to listen to this audiobook ahead of release. I enjoyed this but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me, possibly would’ve been marked higher if I’d read it instead of listened

No one quite does delusion like Julie Tudor! This a fun take on the thriller genre with a hilarious, delusional and unhinged main character you're sure to have conflicted opinions on.
Julie Tudor is a 49 year old woman who has found herself in love with her co-worker, 25 year old Season but there is one slight problem, Sean is in love with someone else. This is not the first time Julie has found herself in this situation and is more than prepared to eliminate the competition and get her man, at any cost because if she cant have him then nobody can.
This story focuses on a complicated character who at times we do genuinely feel sorry for. She has elements of being relatable for so many readers especially when she brings to light how different she has always felt, alone at times and misunderstood. Julie however, is most certainly the definition of delusional and the ways in which her unique brain works leaves us entertained and laughing at what we are reading her say and think because while she declares she is indeed not a psychopath she sure is doing some pretty unhinged things in the name of what she believes to be love. An unreliable narrator, utterly unhinged and full of obsessive thoughts and feelings for all the wrong men in her life that lead her to do anything to get rid of the women around she sees as her competition.
Jennifer Holdich has done an incredible job portraying British humour to perfection, I was genuinely laughing out loud at this book while also feeling so awkward and embarrassed for Julie that it felt as if I knew this character personally. The other characters throughout this book also felt like recognizable people in day to day life and actually aided in brining our main female lead to life. The narration in the audiobook also brought Julie to life and we could feel her frustrations, panic, and obsession.
If you are a fan of the likes of CJ Sckuse and her Sweet Pea books then this is perfect for you! There are multiple time lines that allow us to understand Julie and her background, its a quick read that you find yourself getting through in no time and is truly entertaining, I would highly recommend.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for this arc.

Fab book with a bonkers main character. Julie’s internal monologue is hilarious and deluded and keeps this book flowing at a good pace. Kept having to remind myself that I shouldn’t root for her as technically she is the bad guy. Well written and I will be recommending this to all my friends.

Usually I adore this kind of book, but this one just didn't hit for me. It wasn't particularly funny and just felt like the story never really hit it's stride. It wasn't bad, but I probably won't think about it ever again.
I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

This Genre of audiobook was a first for me and I didn't know what to expect, but I LOVED it, it had no business being as funny and witty as it was.
Julie tudor and her escapades.. oh julie julie julie 🤣 it's hard to say this audiobook made me laugh out loud, roll my eyes, cringe and sigh all at once but here we are. Julie makes herself very hard to like as a character but in the same emotion I felt kind of bad for her, she's overlooked, invisible and lonely but she's also intolerable, a psycho and the most delusional person in existence.
The narrator reminded me of Victoria wood and did an amazing job as julie.
overall It was a dark, witty and very entertaining listen, I'd highly recommend if you're wanting some easy listening with a bit of humour and perhaps some death thrown in for good measure, I had so much fun.

I listened to the audio version of this book, and I'm not entirely sure what it says about me that I'm rating it a hefty 5 stars.
Claire Corbett does an excellent job, providing different accents and adding such an innocent air to Julie that made me feel almost sorry for her at times.
Mad, unhinged, and deranged, this book was a wild ride filled with dark humour and some absolutely hilarious moments with me loudly saying, "Oh, Julie," more often than not.
There is a level of vulnerability to Julie's character throughout this book that did make me question the nature vs. nurture debate, but all in all, I think Julie Tudor may just actually be a psychopath.
Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to listen to an advance audio arc of this book via Netgalley.

It’s hard to describe this book as fun, given the subject but it really did make me laugh and roll my eyes at some points!
Julie Tudor is in love with Sean, he is the love of her life. The only problem is, Sean is in love with someone else. But that’s no problem for Julie, she has experienced the same thing before and knows exactly what to do. She knows that she has to murder the woman he’s in love with and then he will obviously realise he’s actually in love with Julie after all!
This book made me laugh so many times and roll my eyes so many times. Julie is not really a very likeable character, she becomes obsessive over things and you definitely see a pattern emerging with her throughout the book. She is clearly deluded, especially when it comes to relationships, and it makes you wonder how she can get it so wrong. However, the book was still enjoyable and it was fun watching what Julie was going to do next and how she was going to get herself out of trouble each time. The writing drew me in and I just didn’t want to stop listening to this book! A really enjoyable book by Jennifer Holdich!

I loved this book, it was original, dark and whitty. The narration was done really well and keeps you engaged through out. This is definitely on the darker side but well written. Julie is intriguing character and this was wrapped up well in the end. I like someone a bit different now and again and this is out there but I would highly recommend especially the audio version. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this arc.

3.5⭐️. Julie Tudor most definitely is a psychopath! At the start of this book, I wasn’t sure how much I was going to enjoy it, but the more I listened to, the more I found myself completely enraptured by Julie’s hilarious, deranged mind. The way it was told reminded me of Eleanor Oliphant (if she was a psychopath) and the audiobook narrator really brought Julie’s character to life.
We follow Julie throughout numerous periods of her life, at points in time when she’s developed an unrequited love which quickly devolves into a deeply unhealthy obsession.
A quick, bingeable dark humour which I would recommend for an easy, entertaining listen.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ALC of this book.

I had so much fun with Julie, but she’s definitely a psychopath. I love a story delivered from an inner monologue, especially from not only an unreliable narrator but a delusional one. None of what you read is Julie’s fault you see. She’s just looking for love.
A quick, binge worthy and darkly funny novel, I’d like to meet the character again. An excellent debut.
Clare Corbett’s narration is excellent.
Huge thanks to Hodder & Stoughton Audio snd NetGalley for the opportunity to review this ALC 🎧

Julie Tudor Is Not a Psychopath delves into the complex and often unsettling life of a mentally ill woman, Julie Tudor, who becomes fixated on the men she works with. Unfortunately, the novel didn’t resonate with me in the way I had hoped.
While the premise had potential, it fell flat in execution. The psychological aspects of Julie’s condition were intriguing, but the overall tone lacked the levity or dark humor that might have made this story more engaging. Rather than feeling like a darkly comedic exploration of obsession, the narrative felt more disconnected and, at times, uncomfortable.
Julie’s obsession is the driving force of the story, but her interactions with those around her didn’t spark enough intrigue to maintain my interest. It wasn’t particularly funny, as the author may have intended, and the storyline didn’t pull me in emotionally either. The pacing also felt slow, and the lack of meaningful character development made it difficult to care about Julie's journey.
Thank you to NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton Audio for the ARC. It may appeal to others, but I found it didn’t quite hit the mark.
