This was such a quick fun read. Perfect for St. Patrick's day! Don't want to give too much away, it's a novella afterall!

The ebook has a load of blurbs of previous books by the author and I appreciated that too.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Author for the opportunity to read an share my thoughts.

Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the e-ARC to read and review. This was a short read novella that I finished fully within a morning train commute. I like holiday novellas and was interested in the premise of a female leprechaun finding romantic magic on St. Patrick's Day, but unfortunately this didn't do anything for me. I didn't get any magical wonder, either between characters or the holiday/legends. Every character felt flat and bland, the dual POV didn't add anything to the story, and there was almost imperceptible romance and chemistry between a supposed fated pair. We are more told that the leads are supposed to be together rather than anything showing us their bond or making the readers really root for them in any type of way. There was also a line around the consent convo that was like, "I hoped my magic wouldn't match me with someone who had a gross STD," and I just had to pause and blink for a bit for how out of pocket it was.

These characters were so flat and one-dimensional. Even for a shorter book, you can develop characters. That didn't happen. There's also fatphobia and STI-shaming. The copy I got needed a good round of editing because there were many spelling and grammar mistakes. There were misused words such as "gaul" instead of "gall". I didn't find the characters lovable nor was I interested in this relationship.

A cute and cosy second chance romance, just in time for St. Patrick's Day! Fast-paced and easy to read, especially if you're a fan of short books/novellas. It's a themed romance I didn't know I needed and I hope there is more to come, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

REVIEW 📢
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was such a cute and unique little read 🥰
Holly is a leprechaun whose magic awakens every year on Saint Patrick's Day. She has to make bargains with strangers to use her magic on this day to keep her healthy and energised throughout out the year.

Holly asks for a secret and, in return, will exchange the secret for a wish. If she feels they are equivalent in worth, she will grant the wish! Once she grants the wish, all memories revolving her and the interaction a wiped away.

Holly bumps into Liam, an old flame, but it feels like it is too good to be true! This isn't there first Saint Patrick's Day together and she knows how this game is played and doesn't want to get hurt again, there is only one way for him to remember and she doesn't believe it's on the cards!

Liam is going through his own problems this holiday, but is entranced by Holly just the same as he was when they met first. But this time he won't be so easily detoured.

This was a super easy, sweet read! Including strong family relationships, fond family, second chance romance, spice, and happily ever after!
This was a quirky and unique novella, I loved the supernatural elements and each of the sisters' magical abilities!

I hadn't really thought about a St Paddy's day themed romance book, but it's such a cute idea! This was a fun, light read involving a little bit of magic and a lot of flirty fun! I can definitely see a series forming starring some of Holly's sisters, and if that's the case, I'd love to read them! If you're looking for something fun and on theme for March, this is your book!

I was fortunate to read Lucky in Love as an ARC, and I’m so glad I did!

Lucky in Love is a delightful, heartwarming romance that blends the magic of St. Patrick’s Day with a second-chance love story. The book introduces us to Holly, a charming and relatable female protagonist, who finds herself in the path of Liam, a man she remembers from college. Their chemistry is undeniable from the start, creating an electric dynamic that kept me hooked throughout.

One of the things I loved was the unique premise: Holly, the female "leprechaun," grants wishes for secrets once a year on St. Patrick’s Day. If she fails to do so, it could have dire consequences. The concept brings a fresh and playful twist to the story, especially as secrets start unraveling and the characters grow closer.

The dual point-of-view was a nice touch, giving us insights into both Holly’s and Liam’s emotions. Liam, with his dimples and sweet charm, became such a lovable character. Their playful banter and flirtatious moments were absolutely endearing, making their evolving relationship feel natural and genuine. While there’s a touch of spice in the romance, it was the emotional depth and the tension that made their connection so special.

The side characters, especially Holly’s sister Dahlia and Liam’s friend Amber, added a lot of humor and warmth to the story. There’s a fun sense of community within Liam’s crew and his bar, which helped ground the romance in a world that felt real and lived-in.

While the story is mostly lighthearted, there are some moments of emotional vulnerability that gave the book depth, especially with Holly's fears about heartache. There’s an interesting dynamic between hope, magic, and self-discovery that adds more layers to the plot. The ending leaves you feeling hopeful and satisfied, with a touch of sweetness that matches the overall tone of the story.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this book in advance!

This book was the perfect palate cleanser between longer, more tedious reads. I can confidently say that you could read it at any stage of life and still find it satisfying. It was fast-paced, fun, and centered on a topic I had never encountered in books before, which left me wishing it were longer. A leprechaun who grants wishes at the cost of secrets? Such a unique and intriguing premise! Holly’s struggle between following the rules of her magic and her unexpected connection with Liam made for an engaging and emotional journey. The mystery of why he remembers her when no one else does kept me hooked, and I loved the balance of romance, magic, and fate. In fact, I’d love for the author to create connected standalones for the four sisters - such a cute idea! The writing is engaging, fluid, and expressive.

The only aspect I didn’t quite enjoy was the bet between Liam and his brothers, as it felt unrealistic. However, since the book was short, it didn’t significantly impact my reading experience.

"Lucky in Love" by Bailey B. is a charming and unique romance. The story focuses on Holly Flynn, a leprechaun who grants wishes each St. Patrick's Day in exchange for secrets, but Holly is forgotten as soon as the wish is fulfilled. She then meets Liam, who wishes for a memorable night. Unlike others, Liam remembers Holly, which leads to questions about fate and the reliability of her magic. The novella's quick pacing and heartwarming narrative make it an enjoyable read. I found it to be a delightful and cozy palate cleanser.

this was a quick and easy and cute read. it did have a bit of spice though.
it was quirky and a different, original plot. which was great. i can read romance tropes until the cows come home but when a little something different comes along it makes it all the more special.
i loved the fact that holly meets her one. and then goes through the tragedy of this being over after their one night meeting. and how unlike "reality" because of her magic gift there is literally nothing she can do about it. because after that night he WILL forget her. its part of her wishing and magic St patricks day deal.
but what if he doesnt. what if he comes and tells her he hasn't forgot.
i have to admit by this point i felt so bad for Holly that she might have lost her person that by the time he came to her the next day i was automatically anxious that these two MUST be together! and so i was hooked until the end.

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for an eARC.

This was everything I needed it to be - a short & sweet easy read. I would love to read more about Holly's sisters, too!

This synopsis got me so excited but unfortunately it didn't deliver on my expectations. Like the author says in the book, it is a very lighthearted, breezy book and it also is extremely short. The world building was pretty good and as someone who doesn't read much of fantasy, I enjoyed that aspect of it.

The book also has a couple steamy scenes which I find unnecessary especially with the short length. It being a novella rather than a long novel made it more readable and I'm being rather harsh with my review but I don't think I was the intended audience here.

3.5 / 5. This was a cute, short read, with a tiny sprinkle of spice. I felt there were some gaps related to characters that were mentioned. Background was very brief and left me curious as well. If you’re looking for something quick though, I would recommend. Thank you NetGalley for having this available.

This is a cute St Patrick’s Day novella, full of romance and a little magic. Holly comes from a family that has magic. Hers only comes once a year, on St Patrick’s Day, when she can exchange a stranger’s secret for one wish. As soon as the transaction is complete, the stranger forgets they’ve ever met Holly.

Every year, Holly spends March 17th in a bar, trading secrets for wishes. When she meets Liam, he tells her a secret and for his wish, asks to spend the rest of the evening with her. They do and when they part at her apartment at midnight with a kiss, Holly is devastated that Liam won’t remember her.

But then a few days later, Liam shows up on her door, saying that he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about their night together. But how can he remember? What makes him different from everyone else? And can Holly be brave enough to explore this thing between them, even when it could risk changing her magic forever?

This really was just the cutest perfect palette cleanser. A shirt and sweet novella, with just a hint of spice. A fun paranormal romance about a leprechaun and he soulmate.

Short & sweet! This was a pretty cute second chance, soulmates, dual POV romance.

(spoiler: I am personally not a fan of the soulmates trope)

The FMC Holly is a real life leprechaun! that was such a fun little addition but I wish the magic played a bigger role and I wish we’d gotten to see her and her sister's powers more. Overall, I just wished the book was longer! Would have liked more development of their relationship.

I liked this book. It had a unique premise that immediately made me interested It had elements of magic that I thought were intriguing. I only wish we got more information about how it worked. The romance was cute but it felt a bit rushed and I don’t really know the deeper motivations of the love interest. I also didn’t understand the deeper rooted issues of the MC and why she was so hesitant. Overall, it felt like the story could be fleshed out more but it was still a nice read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc

This was such a cute book to read right before St Patrick’s Day. This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the premise of the story and how the main character was a female leprechaun instead of it always being a male. I liked the love story between the two main characters and the magical aspect to it.

A cute little St Patrick’s Day novella!
Perfect for this time for year ☘️

Holly and Liam are super cute and I would love to see more from them, I liked the plot as it was different to my usual reads with a little spice I feel more would have taken away from the story so I think this was more than enough 🤭

Thank you to NetGalley and the author Bailey Black for the early arc! 📚

I was drawn in by the cover and premise of this book immediately! However this novella fell short. I liked the characters but the plot felt rushed for a short read.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
