5 Noah Stars
I can’t give it anything other than 5 stars! I am truly amazed that Lisa Regan has the imagination to find new stories for Detective Josie Quinn. These books are so well-written, and the pacing is perfect, with tension building throughout. I fly right through them because I have to know what happens. This is book 22 in the series, and these characters feel like family and are very realistic.
That’s why it hit so hard when Josie’s beloved husband, Noah, is kidnapped right off the bat in this one. There’s only a trashed house, blood, and a bullet lodged in the wall, no sign of Noah or who took him.
Josie’s fellow detectives are on the case, trying to figure out who is behind the home invasion and to find Noah before it is too late.
This time, we get a deep dive into the evil woman who took Josie as an infant. Lila was an awful person. We learn about Lila’s mother and Lila’s early years. Are they somehow connected to Noah’s abductors?
We also dive into a case that Josie was working on before discovering that Noah had been taken. A local construction site is the scene of a terrible murder. Is that a complete coincidence?
This one ends with a compelling cliffhanger, and I’m already ready to dive into book 23! I can’t wait to see what happens next for these great characters, especially Josie! If you are curious about this series, I do recommend starting with #1.

If you are new to Josie Quinn you will miss a lot of back information but I believe you will still enjoy it. Author, Lisa Regan does try to review Josie’s childhood so that hew readers are not completely lost. Here are some background ~ skip if already a Josie fan!
When Josie and her twin sister Trinity were three weeks old, they had a nanny but Josie was kidnapped by Lila Jensen the woman who
cleaned their parents’ home. She set the house on fire; which had the authorities believe Josie died in the fire. The nanny was able to save
baby Trinity.
Josie didn’t die and Lila took her to Eli Matson in Denton and told him he was the baby’s father. He believe her and ending up loving little
Josie - love is something Lila never experienced and went mad and jealous.
Eventually Josie was finally away from Lila and raised and loved by Eli’s mother Lisette Matson the woman whom Josie thought was her
real grandmother.
When Josie is an adult she finds her twin Trinity as well as her biological parents.- Christian and Shannon Paynes. Trinity is a television
journalist and engaged to FBI agent Drake Nally.
Additionally, we follow Josie and her now husband Noah
This story starts when Josie and Noah are busy getting the nursery as they are about to be parents - their long adoption journey is close to getting a baby. While painting and decorating, Josie gets a call to investigate the stabbing of a woman at a protest in town. The victim is Gina Phelan who is the lawyer for the family owned Phelan Construction. The protest is a result of when a group of high school boys party in the construction site and one falls from and dies. The parents of the boy who died demand that the Phelan Construction Co which is the future site of the children’s hospital be shut down.
However when Josie returns home, she finds the house has been ransacked, and Noah is missing. They were both putting the touches on the nursery. Now the house is empty, with Noah’s bloodied handprints on the wall.
Could Josie’s case of the stabbing have a connection with Noah being taken?
It appears the evil Lila Jensen is somehow back causing trouble and surely the reason Noah is missing.
Yikes! There is soooo much going on in this story- I had to stop to take notes!
Don’t want to give it away as you will definitely want to ride this out yourself!
Yes! A ride like no other This story was far more disturbing that I expected but could NOT put it down.
There times I totally loved it and other times totally hated what was happening!
Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 19, 2025.

This author has produced a wonderful series.
Well written characters and a storyline full of tension and twists.
A must read for all those who enjoy an edge of your seat read.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

This favorite author never disappoints. This is an intriguing series with likable characters. I enjoy following their stories. Do not miss this mystery. Read Quinn’s story… curl up in a cozy chair with a comfy blanket. Grab a cup of hot steaming herbal tea…sit for awhile…you won’t want to stop reading. Thanks Netgalley

Another excellent book in this well written and hugely enjoyable series. The Josie Quinn books are a fabulous example of a police procedural which is well researched and a page turning read.
In book 22 Josie faces her ultimate nightmare, the kidnap and possible murder of her husband and soulmate and the story is nail biting stuff, with Josie monitoring time since the kidnapping in the text to the reader in terms of hours since he was taken. This certainly adds to the tension and the mystery of her own past and clues from that time help Josie to cope with not being able to be part of the search.
As always with this book it can be read as a standalone however I feel that if reading with the insight of the characters and their development throughout the series the reader can enjoy the story more. Already looking forward to the new book, especially given the huge twist at the end.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

There are some books that, as a reviewer, you can find hard to review. Maybe they just aren't for you, or can leave a bad taste in the mouth, OR like this one, it is so amazingly good, you want to be able to SCREAM to absolutely everybody and anybody how fantastic it is and give all the small minute details.... but can't! So without giving anything away, but still making you count down the seconds until you can read it.... I'll give it a go.
Book #22 has hand on heart got to be the one that gave allllll the emotions, at one point, right near the beginning, I very nearly threw my kindle across the room, not wanting to carry on, not wanting to be a witness to Josie's pain and suffering again, wanting, for once, for Josie to have it a little bit easy for a change.
Josie & Noah are working cross over shifts. Working a case of a woman stabbed at a demonstration, identified as Gina Phelan, of the well know Phelan Construction family, herself and Turner are tasked with finding out the who, why's and when's, first stop cctv footage! But what they find just confuses them more.
When Josie returns home, expecting Noah to be heading out, she walks in to find her home ransacked, trails of bloodied handprints around her home, and Noah missing.
Josie and her team aren't allowed to head the investigation, and she is also kicked off her current case.... but nothing, literally nothing will stand in the way of finding her husband.
The more Josie, with the help of Trinity, delves into their own investigations on both missing Noah and the Phelan murder, Josie comes to realise that all is not what it truly seems. Her past, which she thought had been finally buried, seems to be lurking its ugly head from the grave.
As always, the characterisation is totally spot on. With each and every new book with get fed a lottle bit more information and knowledge on each character, even the increasingly annoying Turner, who actually shocked me in this one, maybe I'll warm to him eventually, in about the same time frame as Josie does!
Lisa Regan has this bewitching way of intricately weaving the smallest details into the bigger picture, perfectly formed so that everything is tied up so tightly at the end with the most beautiful bow. Whilst we may be left dangling, questions are never left unanswered in a way that grates you. It just leaves you breathlessly, wanting for more.
While every single time i will always recommend reading the whole series, to get the full background, this installment was a more personal story to Josie and could be read as a standalone (if youre silly enough to not have read them all obviously!).
I honestly can not rate this any higher. I'd happily give it all the stars in the universe, but as i can't do that, it has my full 5⭐️ rating.
The biggest and most grateful thanks, Netgalley and Bookouture, for the ARC

First of all I need to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for provide me a copy of this book in change of an honest review. This is my first ARC and I loved it!
This book is the best of series and I know I keep telling this for each book but the case(s) in this book that in the end are all connected.
‘Husand Missing’ is the latest installment of Josie Quinn’s book series, you can read it as standalone if you want but I don’t recommend to do it since there are some connection (pretty important) from book 3 of the series.
Now the cases, I don’t want to give you any spoiler but ALL the cases in this book are connected to one another, some twist I predicted them but not because they were easy but because I read a lot of crime/thrillers; some twist I didn’t see them coming and I was so shocked about them!! But everything is a full circle & in the end I cried.
Since when Noah got abducted by someone is a circle of event that started many many years ago and even the murder of Gina Phelan is connected to Noah & the “older” case. But not I keep quiet as I didn’t want to give you any spoilers!! WHAT AN ENDING BTW, I NEED THE NEXT BOOK ASAP, I CANNOT WAITING MONTHS!!
Josie!! What a character you are!! In the first 2 book I didn’t like her very much as the main character but now, oh, I do love her and I’m so invested in her story. I had to learn to love her & appreciate her, because she’s not a easy character to love. In this book we saw Josie at her lowest point, we didn’t see the great Josie Quinn but we see the human Josie Quinn who panicked because her husband was missing
Noah I just love you since book 1, he is the perfect man not just for Josie but for everyone even if in this book he was missing there are some cute moments with Josie at the begging of the book and I knew he will be a perfect father because he’s a splendid human being and I love how much he understand & cares about Josie.
It’s always a pleasure to see Trinity & the Payne’s as a family because they’ve been through a lot and they deserve only happiness.
I know it might be unpopular but I love Turner, yes he’s a jackass as Gretchen said, but he’s sarcastic and some times he makes me laugh, and I’m curious what is the real connection between him & Trinity?
I missed see Josie working with her gang; but hopefully in the next book we will see more of them working together.
Overall I give to this book 5 stars as I enjoyed it and reading about Josie, coming back to Denton is such a pleasure for me!! I can’t wait for NEXT BOOK!!

Lisa Regan's "Husband Missing" nearly killed me. Lisa's ability to take the words from her story and create a reality in which you feel you are living in is unbeatable! My heart stopped, it broke, I sobbed, I laughed, my lungs were on fire from holding my breath, and my mind was spinning!!! I Ionged to hug, comfort and protect more than one character. This was the most amazing book I've ever read. And now I'm dying again because I have to wait for book 23!!! #HusbandMissing #NetGalley

A Coven’s Devotion: Lisa Regan’s Spellbinding Series
For those of you who’ve roamed this site for ages, you already know—the Witches Words group (formerly The Traveling Sisters) has been singing Lisa Regan’s praises for years. Every installment in her Josie Quinn series leaves us murmuring, “This one’s the best yet.” And now, in book 22, that spell is cast once again.

Lisa Regan is our high priestess of page-turning magic—weaving heart-pounding crime, family bonding, and the electrifying dynamics between friends and co-workers. What truly enchants me is the bond between her characters; it’s the very lifeblood of this series. And Josie? She remains my forever favorite, wielding heart and wit in equal measures.
Noah is Missing
Noah has vanished into the ether, and eerie links to Josie’s shadowed past begin to surface. I was clicking pages well into the witching hour, my heart racing as if the air around me pulsed with some potent, otherworldly force.
Twists, Turns, and a Storm of Torment
Regan conjures up plenty of twists and turns, hurling a sorcerous storm at poor Josie and us. When Josie uncovers a connection between Noah’s disappearance and her old tormentor, Lila, the suspense crackles like lightning. Lila’s tortured past is revealed, each sinister revelation tightening the book’s grip until escape is impossible.
A Cliffhanger That Leaves Us Bewitched
Regan’s endings can sometimes feel long-winded, with just one more twist before the final page. But here? She tightens the spell. The book closes on a cliffhanger that lands like a thunderclap—sharp, shocking, and leaving us breathlessly desperate for the next installment. And thank the stars she writes so fast, for our coven’s insatiable thirst for more!
Forever Spellbound by Josie’s Journey
Witches Words buddy read coven of Josie-loving witches, Debra, Carolyn, and DeAnn.

*CRACK* That is the sound of Lisa Regan hitting it out of the ballpark yet again with another thrilling, shocking, addictive and hard to put down book in her amazing Detective Josie Quinn series!!!! Seriously, this series keeps getting better and better!!!! Lisa Regan had my heart pounding, and my emotions stirred the entire book. I feel as if I were on an emotional roller coaster of mystery and thrills! Plus, that ending!!!!! Holy Crap! It left me with my jaw hanging open! I was literally speechless!
Whew! The book begins with Josie and Noah painting a room in their home, their thoughts on the future and their dreams of having a family. After Josie returns home after investigating a crime scene, she finds her home ransacked, blood on various surfaces and Noah is missing! I felt for her and was anxious and desperate for answers as well. The entire Denton police team jumped into action to not only find one of their own but to solve the mystery of the crime scene that Josie was initially investigating.
There were several times in this book where I wanted to high five several characters and time when I wanted to shake a couple of others. I have to say that Turner has begun to grow on me, and I am beside myself trying to figure out his connection with Josie's twin sister, Trinity.
This book is full of tension, dread, unease, and danger. It is also full of love, hope, and support from those in Josie's life. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and fully invested. Lisa Regan stunned and amazed me with this shocking, wonderfully written, and gripping page turner.
Wowza! This book was beyond fantastic! I loved every single page of it! Lisa Regan has outdone herself yet again. Each time I read a book in the series, I come away saying 'that one was the absolute best one yet'. Here I am again and will happily say, This is the absolute best book in the series thus far!!!!!! I love the characters, the character development in this series, the relationships between the characters, the mysteries, and the setting. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Highly Recommend!

Josie Quinn has a significant early history which, in this case, comes back to haunt her as her beloved husband, Noah has been abducted.Josie returns home from the scene of a murder to find her house in disarray, blood splatter, and Noah missing. All hands are on deck as the frantic search for him is underway.
This is another page turner from Lisa Regan.Well written, there is suspense, twists, horror, poignancy. There are some brutal truths here about abuse and its generational effects. In this book, readers learn more details about Josie’s background and it delves a bit more into her psyche as she tries to cope with the devastation of Noah’s disappearance, what may become of him, and the fact that she is not supposed to be involved in investigating this case.
I enjoyed seeing the bond grow closer between Josie and her birth family as their protective instincts are displayed.I do like how throughout the series, Regan’s characters show growth and change with time and experience. I like Josie; she is a strong, capable, intelligent, though vulnerable young woman. A new character, Turner, was introduced a few books back who has been aptly nicknamed Douchebag by her. I was glad to see that he is finally starting to show some sparks of humanity!
Counting the hours since Noah’s abduction is a good technique that added to the suspense of the story. I also picked up on the hint Regan dropped that foreshadowed the cliff hanger ending….see if you do too. I do hope we find out soon the connection between Turner and Trinity, Josie’s sister, as she certainly seems to be a “Turner Whisperer.
This is the twenty second in the series. Although I think I have read all of them, this would work as a standalone as the author does an excellent job of filling in Josie’s background. However, I think it might be helpful to have some familiarity with the characters by having read some of the previous installments.
If you like well written police procedurals/thrillers, and are not familiar with this series, I highly recommend it. I can’t wait for #23.
Thanks to #NetGalley and @Bookouture for the DRC.

I think most fans of the Josie Quinn series will agree that this is one of the best books in the series to date. I’m going to try not to give spoilers (and it’s best to go into this without reading the marketing blurb) but Josie has a lot to deal with when the past comes back to haunt her and threatens to ruin the happy life she has built for herself.
At the start of the first chapter, Josie and Noah are happily painting the spare room, getting it ready for the child they hope to add to their family. It’s so lovely to see them both so excited about finally being approved to adopt a child and talking their future plans. Then Josie is called away to the stabbing of a woman at a building site and her world will be turned upside down by the events that follow.
At first none of the events seem related but Lisa Regan is so talented at managing multilayered plots and pulling all the pieces into focus. The suspense and sense of racing against time is palpable with Josie often just barely hanging on, even as she is supported by family and friends. Her ongoing fractious relationship with Turner provides some light relief (and I hope we'll find out soon what connection he has to Trinity). The conclusion and resolution were fantastic and I loved the sneaky little cliff-hanger at the end!

I have read the entire Josie Quinn series and Lisa Reagan has outdone herself!
Husband missing gives us much background on Josie's childhood as well as her relationship with her husband Noah, all while giving us a great muysteryto solve
You cant go wrong with Josie Quinn

WOW THIS BOOK IS BRILLIANT!!!!!

Detective Josie Quinn and Lieutenant Noah Fraley began as colleagues, became friends, then lovers, and finally, a formidable husband and wife team. They are as passionate about solving crime as they are about each other. Noah once told Josie that he would burn down the city to protect her. When they got married, Josie promised to always come home to Noah. But now the tables have turned, and Josie finds herself moving heaven and Earth to bring Noah back home. He's been taken on the same day as a cryptic murder. Josie's off of both cases, but NOTHING will stop her from solving the mostimportant case of her life. Get ready for a crazy ride across Pennsylvania, with a destination you'll never be able to predict. Lisa Regan has composed another masterpiece!

Wow. Just when I thought they couldn’t any better this book comes out. Josie’s house has been ransacked and her husband Noah is missing. Josie is afraid it’s linked to her troubled childhood and starts investigating. This book was nonstop good and I couldn’t put it down. And the ending left me anxious for the next book. I can hardly wait. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Book 22 in this series featuring Detective Josie Quinn and her team. A very personal case with many twists and turns.

Husband Missing by Lisa Regan. Detective Josie Quinn #22. Don't know how she does it, I marvel at Ms Regan's talent as an author. Once again Ms Regan has written brilliant and emotionally intense addition to the series. So looking forward to the next book in the series, that ending, on my! Highly recommended.
Thank you to Lisa Regan, Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

WOW! This was by far the best Lisa Regan book I read. Josie Quinn's husband Noah is abducted and she is off the case. That doesn't stop her from trying to find him and the things she finds out about her past that ties to this abduction is just mind blowing. Twist after twist I never saw coming. This is a must read If you follow the Josie Quinn series. Even if you don't, all of Lisa Reagan's books are stand alone but after you read one you'll be hooked and want to read the entire series.

Husband Missing might be book 22 but it is the best one yet (until book 23)
Josie arrives home to find Noah missing, their home trashed and a trail of blood.
Your heart is in your throat as Josie checks out every room in the house.
I counted down the hours with Josie : missing 10 hours, missing 24 hours, missing 72 hours.
The tension is unsurmoutable, the fear is real and Josie is falling apart .
Her family and friends rally around and no one is giving up least of all Josie.
Lisa Regan takes the reader on an intense, taut and emotional journey with twists and turns that will have you holding your breath and racing to the conclusion.
Husband Missing is the true definition of a page turner.
I will be first in line for the next book in this superb series.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the privilege to read and review Husband Missing.
