This was a good story, but a little hard to keep track of who everyone was and how they were were involved. This is the kind of story best read in one sitting so you don't forget anything. Even at the end, I still had to think about it to keep everyone straight in my mind. I was also nervous for one of the main characters. Can't really say more about that without giving away the story. Despite having a tough time trying to remember who and how all these characters were related, I did enjoy the story. Not my favorite book of the series, but it did have all my favorite things in a Josie Quinn book. Like more of Josie and Noah of course, and the police department coming together to help one of their own, familiar characters and locations. I just felt like the plot of this particular book was a little far fetched and confusing. Will I stop reading this series though...absolutely not! At this point, I'm more invested in the personal lives of these characters than I am with the crimes they solve. So for as long as this series continues, I will be reading them.

Josie gets called out on a case. When she returns home, she finds her house trashed and her husband, Noah, missing. There’s blood everywhere. When it’s discovered that the case she was called out to respond to has connections to Noah’s disappearance, she’s not allowed to officially stay on the case. But that won’t stop Josie.
I swear I aged 10 years with this story, especially with that gunshot! More secrets from Josie’s past are revealed and lead her to unexpected clues in the case. And that little teaser at the end, oh my! An edge-of-your-seat, adrenaline pumping thriller. Can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

So good! Lisa Regan's Husband Missing is a gripping thriller that mixes personal trauma with a tense investigation, making it a must-read for fans of psychological suspense. From the very first page, the stakes are set high as Detective Josie Quinn returns home to find her world shattered. The emotional depth of Josie's character, coupled with the difficult circumstances of her husband's disappearance, creates an intense atmosphere that kept me on the edge of my seat. The discovery of Noah's bloodied handprints and the unsettling connection to her mother’s abusive history adds a layer of complexity to the plot. The pacing of the novel is great; the author balances the investigation of the murder of one character with Josie’s desperate search for her husband. Each twist and turn feels organic.
Husband Missing is not just a thriller; it’s an exploration of resilience in the face of fear and the lengths one will go to protect their loved ones. The author's writing is vivid, making it easy to immerse oneself in Josie's world—the high stakes, the emotional turmoil, and the heart-pounding suspense.
Husband Missing is another standout in the genre and this series and a testament to the author's talent as a storyteller. Fans of mystery and suspense will find themselves captivated by Josie's fight against her demons, making this an unforgettable read. I would highly recommend this book, this series, and this author. Start from Book 1 and enjoy the ride!

Let me get to the nitty-gritty right away: The missing husband, as loyal readers of this series (like me) would suspect, is Denton, Pa., police detective Josie Quinn's hunky police officer husband Noah Fraley. One not-so-fine day, she returns home from a murder scene to find their home totally ransacked, blood everywhere and Noah gone. Alas, Josie isn't the only one to miss him - he's a major reason I love the series, so not having him around was more than a small disappointment. And after awhile, reading about his absence started to get a bit tedious; put another way, I can count too, so I really didn't need an update on how long he's been gone every on every third page.
Nitpicking aside, I will say that the happenings in this book bring a good measure of closure to Josie's horrific life before the police department and Noah (after 21 previous books, long-time readers will be familiar with her story and reconnection with her twin sister Trinity Payne as adults). Trinity, a well-known TV journalist who's engaged to FBI agent Drake Nally, of course is around to lend support and investigative expertise to her sister - as is the usual police force team that includes the rather obnoxious officer Kyle Turner (though here, too, the ongoing snarkiness between Kyle and Josie got old fast).
Josie herself is officially sidelined throughout most of the book, given her connection to Noah (she can't be the one leading the investigation to find her own husband). Then, the case she was called to right before returning to her ransacked home takes a turn for the bizzare. At the scene, the daughter of a prominent contractor is killed, and prints are found. Great for helping find the killer, perhaps, but for Josie, not so much; the prints match those found in the mess at her place. Whoops - off the case she goes once again.
Josie being Josie, of course, she manages to call in a few favors and do some surreptitious digging around on her own (in between telling readers how long Noah has been missing and trading barbs with Kyle). Finally, the whole thing - which is directly tied to the mother Josie knew to be a monster - comes together to reach a rather surprising conclusion. As for Noah, nope, you ain't gonna hear it from me. Go read the book for yourself!
Thanks to the publisher, via NetGalley, for providing me with a pre-release copy - I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one!

I have no idea where author Lisa Regan got this twisty tale, but hold on - this is one of her best! And, that's saying something considering how incredible this series is! Josie and her husband, Noah, are preparing a room to become a nursery for their adopted son or daughter. Whilst finishing up, Jenna is called away to a murder at a construction site, where there has been a lot of unrest. Once she spends the day there, sorting through the evidence and trying to make sense of the murder, she returns home to find her house torn apart and Noah missing. The entire squad, including the Chief, are at her home and on the hunt for Noah. Both Josie and Noah's families descend upon Gretchen's home - where everyone is staying. it's a lot for Josie to deal with so she spends much of her time with her twin, Trinity, trying to sort out where Noah is and why she feels this is part of a bigger story... and her past. One of my absolute favorites! This book will stick with me for a long time. So well written! A great big thank you to Bookouture for an advanced reader of this book. The opinions expressed are my own.

When Detective Josie Quinn returned home, she found her house completely ransacked and her husband Noah missing. Only a few hours before, they had been painting a nursery for their first child, whom they would soon adopt.
A panicked Josie moves full speed ahead to find out what happened to her husband even though her investigative team asked her to back off while they investigated a recent robbery in town that appeared to be connected to the invasion of her own home.
During her investigation inside her home, Josie found handprints that Noah had left that led to a box containing old photos, jewelry, a lock of hair, and old news clippings that had belonged to her dead abusive mother. What were these things doing in the house, and why was Noah trying to get at them?
Filled with worry about her missing husband and haunted by the trauma she suffered during her past life, Josie stumbles on the body of Gina Phelan, daughter of the powerful Phelan family, on the grounds of a children’s hospital under construction. When Josie discovers that the fingerprints on the knife that killed Gina matched the prints found inside her ransacked home, she is now faced with two cases.

This book is a show stopper - one I would give to my friends. I would buy multiple copies of this book for people! After reading plenty of thrillers it takes a lot these days for me to not work out the ending but this one totally got me. Overall really clever, well written and one I will be recommending.

Another great series by Lisa Regan. Husband Missing is the latest in the series and may be the best one yet. I just love Lisa Regan's books and Josie Quinn. Josie returns home from a murder scene to find your house ransacked and her husband missing, who is also a detective. Josie won't be allowed to investigate this one with the department but she will not stop until she finds her husband. This is another page turner and so many twists and turns but you won't want to put it down until you find out what happens. And WOW! What an ending and cliffhanger. You won't to wait until you can get your hands on the next book. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC for my honest opinion. You won't want to miss this one for sure!!

This a series of excellent books. Jose Quinn and Noah are the main characters. Their love for one another and their families is unmeasurable . Although this book could be read as a standalone I would highly recommend reading the entire 22 book series. You won't be disappointed.

I love Lisa Regan and the Josie Quinn series. Her books have brought people into my life. This book in the series has a very special meaning for me, as my late friend Shirley Swenson was a character. Seeing her name in print made me cry. Lisa always delivers great thrillers and this one was no different: I could feel Josie’s pain but I am so happy that she had her family to rally around her. Josie’s mind works like no other detective. She has something special and can solve a case without even the help of the police department. I enjoyed learning more back story about the woman who stole Josie when she was younger. Seems like Lila Jensen is even causing chaos from the grave. Please check out the series and the powerhouse woman MC, Josie Quinn.
Thank you Lisa Regan and Bookouture for the ARC. Husband Missing publishes March 19th, 2025.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
Josie is investigating a stabbing at a building site. She gets home from work to find her husband Noah , also a detective, missing. Her house has been ransacked. All signs point to this being something to do with Lila Jensen, an evil woman who kidnapped Josie when she was a baby.
(Although there is a lot of talk of the past, things are explained in a way that this book could be read standalone or as I would highly recommend as part of the series).
Oh wow. Just wow. This was such a good storyline. Josie being powerless to investigate was new, and I could feel her frustrations as she/I learned drive and drabs about the case but never all the details. I enjoyed Josie and Turner building on their work relationship to what seems like tolerating each other.
The suspense in this book had me hooked. I really felt that the worst was going to happen for Noah. I couldn’t put this down, but at the same time I didn’t want to turn the page just in case. I think I felt every emotion reading this book. This was book 22 and each one just gets better and better
And just when things can’t get any better, Lisa Regen hits us with the biggest cliffhanger ever! I cannot wait for book 23!

Another fantastic book in the Josie Quinn series. I was captured from the prologue and read it in two sittings, it was real edge of the seat stuff. Very tense and nail biting! Really enjoyed this and I can’t wait for the next book after the cliffhanger ending in this book. Highly recommend, deserves 5 stars.

5 Noah Stars
I can’t give it anything other than 5 stars! I am truly amazed that Lisa Regan has the imagination to find new stories for Detective Josie Quinn. These books are so well-written, and the pacing is perfect, with tension building throughout. I fly right through them because I have to know what happens. This is book 22 in the series, and these characters feel like family and are very realistic.
That’s why it hit so hard when Josie’s beloved husband, Noah, is kidnapped right off the bat in this one. There’s only a trashed house, blood, and a bullet lodged in the wall, no sign of Noah or who took him.
Josie’s fellow detectives are on the case, trying to figure out who is behind the home invasion and to find Noah before it is too late.
This time, we get a deep dive into the evil woman who took Josie as an infant. Lila was an awful person. We learn about Lila’s mother and Lila’s early years. Are they somehow connected to Noah’s abductors?
We also dive into a case that Josie was working on before discovering that Noah had been taken. A local construction site is the scene of a terrible murder. Is that a complete coincidence?
This one ends with a compelling cliffhanger, and I’m already ready to dive into book 23! I can’t wait to see what happens next for these great characters, especially Josie! If you are curious about this series, I do recommend starting with #1.

If you are new to Josie Quinn you will miss a lot of back information but I believe you will still enjoy it. Author, Lisa Regan does try to review Josie’s childhood so that hew readers are not completely lost. Here are some background ~ skip if already a Josie fan!
When Josie and her twin sister Trinity were three weeks old, they had a nanny but Josie was kidnapped by Lila Jensen the woman who
cleaned their parents’ home. She set the house on fire; which had the authorities believe Josie died in the fire. The nanny was able to save
baby Trinity.
Josie didn’t die and Lila took her to Eli Matson in Denton and told him he was the baby’s father. He believe her and ending up loving little
Josie - love is something Lila never experienced and went mad and jealous.
Eventually Josie was finally away from Lila and raised and loved by Eli’s mother Lisette Matson the woman whom Josie thought was her
real grandmother.
When Josie is an adult she finds her twin Trinity as well as her biological parents.- Christian and Shannon Paynes. Trinity is a television
journalist and engaged to FBI agent Drake Nally.
Additionally, we follow Josie and her now husband Noah
This story starts when Josie and Noah are busy getting the nursery as they are about to be parents - their long adoption journey is close to getting a baby. While painting and decorating, Josie gets a call to investigate the stabbing of a woman at a protest in town. The victim is Gina Phelan who is the lawyer for the family owned Phelan Construction. The protest is a result of when a group of high school boys party in the construction site and one falls from and dies. The parents of the boy who died demand that the Phelan Construction Co which is the future site of the children’s hospital be shut down.
However when Josie returns home, she finds the house has been ransacked, and Noah is missing. They were both putting the touches on the nursery. Now the house is empty, with Noah’s bloodied handprints on the wall.
Could Josie’s case of the stabbing have a connection with Noah being taken?
It appears the evil Lila Jensen is somehow back causing trouble and surely the reason Noah is missing.
Yikes! There is soooo much going on in this story- I had to stop to take notes!
Don’t want to give it away as you will definitely want to ride this out yourself!
Yes! A ride like no other This story was far more disturbing that I expected but could NOT put it down.
There times I totally loved it and other times totally hated what was happening!
Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 19, 2025.

This author has produced a wonderful series.
Well written characters and a storyline full of tension and twists.
A must read for all those who enjoy an edge of your seat read.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

This favorite author never disappoints. This is an intriguing series with likable characters. I enjoy following their stories. Do not miss this mystery. Read Quinn’s story… curl up in a cozy chair with a comfy blanket. Grab a cup of hot steaming herbal tea…sit for awhile…you won’t want to stop reading. Thanks Netgalley

Another excellent book in this well written and hugely enjoyable series. The Josie Quinn books are a fabulous example of a police procedural which is well researched and a page turning read.
In book 22 Josie faces her ultimate nightmare, the kidnap and possible murder of her husband and soulmate and the story is nail biting stuff, with Josie monitoring time since the kidnapping in the text to the reader in terms of hours since he was taken. This certainly adds to the tension and the mystery of her own past and clues from that time help Josie to cope with not being able to be part of the search.
As always with this book it can be read as a standalone however I feel that if reading with the insight of the characters and their development throughout the series the reader can enjoy the story more. Already looking forward to the new book, especially given the huge twist at the end.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

There are some books that, as a reviewer, you can find hard to review. Maybe they just aren't for you, or can leave a bad taste in the mouth, OR like this one, it is so amazingly good, you want to be able to SCREAM to absolutely everybody and anybody how fantastic it is and give all the small minute details.... but can't! So without giving anything away, but still making you count down the seconds until you can read it.... I'll give it a go.
Book #22 has hand on heart got to be the one that gave allllll the emotions, at one point, right near the beginning, I very nearly threw my kindle across the room, not wanting to carry on, not wanting to be a witness to Josie's pain and suffering again, wanting, for once, for Josie to have it a little bit easy for a change.
Josie & Noah are working cross over shifts. Working a case of a woman stabbed at a demonstration, identified as Gina Phelan, of the well know Phelan Construction family, herself and Turner are tasked with finding out the who, why's and when's, first stop cctv footage! But what they find just confuses them more.
When Josie returns home, expecting Noah to be heading out, she walks in to find her home ransacked, trails of bloodied handprints around her home, and Noah missing.
Josie and her team aren't allowed to head the investigation, and she is also kicked off her current case.... but nothing, literally nothing will stand in the way of finding her husband.
The more Josie, with the help of Trinity, delves into their own investigations on both missing Noah and the Phelan murder, Josie comes to realise that all is not what it truly seems. Her past, which she thought had been finally buried, seems to be lurking its ugly head from the grave.
As always, the characterisation is totally spot on. With each and every new book with get fed a lottle bit more information and knowledge on each character, even the increasingly annoying Turner, who actually shocked me in this one, maybe I'll warm to him eventually, in about the same time frame as Josie does!
Lisa Regan has this bewitching way of intricately weaving the smallest details into the bigger picture, perfectly formed so that everything is tied up so tightly at the end with the most beautiful bow. Whilst we may be left dangling, questions are never left unanswered in a way that grates you. It just leaves you breathlessly, wanting for more.
While every single time i will always recommend reading the whole series, to get the full background, this installment was a more personal story to Josie and could be read as a standalone (if youre silly enough to not have read them all obviously!).
I honestly can not rate this any higher. I'd happily give it all the stars in the universe, but as i can't do that, it has my full 5⭐️ rating.
The biggest and most grateful thanks, Netgalley and Bookouture, for the ARC

First of all I need to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for provide me a copy of this book in change of an honest review. This is my first ARC and I loved it!
This book is the best of series and I know I keep telling this for each book but the case(s) in this book that in the end are all connected.
‘Husand Missing’ is the latest installment of Josie Quinn’s book series, you can read it as standalone if you want but I don’t recommend to do it since there are some connection (pretty important) from book 3 of the series.
Now the cases, I don’t want to give you any spoiler but ALL the cases in this book are connected to one another, some twist I predicted them but not because they were easy but because I read a lot of crime/thrillers; some twist I didn’t see them coming and I was so shocked about them!! But everything is a full circle & in the end I cried.
Since when Noah got abducted by someone is a circle of event that started many many years ago and even the murder of Gina Phelan is connected to Noah & the “older” case. But not I keep quiet as I didn’t want to give you any spoilers!! WHAT AN ENDING BTW, I NEED THE NEXT BOOK ASAP, I CANNOT WAITING MONTHS!!
Josie!! What a character you are!! In the first 2 book I didn’t like her very much as the main character but now, oh, I do love her and I’m so invested in her story. I had to learn to love her & appreciate her, because she’s not a easy character to love. In this book we saw Josie at her lowest point, we didn’t see the great Josie Quinn but we see the human Josie Quinn who panicked because her husband was missing
Noah I just love you since book 1, he is the perfect man not just for Josie but for everyone even if in this book he was missing there are some cute moments with Josie at the begging of the book and I knew he will be a perfect father because he’s a splendid human being and I love how much he understand & cares about Josie.
It’s always a pleasure to see Trinity & the Payne’s as a family because they’ve been through a lot and they deserve only happiness.
I know it might be unpopular but I love Turner, yes he’s a jackass as Gretchen said, but he’s sarcastic and some times he makes me laugh, and I’m curious what is the real connection between him & Trinity?
I missed see Josie working with her gang; but hopefully in the next book we will see more of them working together.
Overall I give to this book 5 stars as I enjoyed it and reading about Josie, coming back to Denton is such a pleasure for me!! I can’t wait for NEXT BOOK!!

Lisa Regan's "Husband Missing" nearly killed me. Lisa's ability to take the words from her story and create a reality in which you feel you are living in is unbeatable! My heart stopped, it broke, I sobbed, I laughed, my lungs were on fire from holding my breath, and my mind was spinning!!! I Ionged to hug, comfort and protect more than one character. This was the most amazing book I've ever read. And now I'm dying again because I have to wait for book 23!!! #HusbandMissing #NetGalley
