5 Spectacular Stars

I read this backwards... or should I say "all mixed up". I first started reading Jen Frederick through the weekly installments of Lainey's List, part 2 of The Jackson Boys series. Then was given Unwritten, book #5 in the Woodlands series for review. Then read the series from the beginning after reading and loving that book. All this not realizing that the Jackson Boys and Charlotte are the product of the characters from Undeclared and "Unspoken" in the Woodlands series. I loved Lainey's List and was so upset that I had missed reading this one in installments.

Nate, Nick and Charlotte have been inseparable since birth. Nate was new she was his and his to protect since the moment she was placed in his arms when he was two. Nick has always been her best friend. A brother not by birth. When Charlotte gets sick at the age of 15, it's the same time that Nate's brotherly feelings change to something else. Her sickness and subsequent move to Switzerland for treatment change their relationship in many ways. They go from love to strangers.

Nine years later, when Nate gets his head out of his own... and Charlotte travels to San Diego to work with a client, their paths cross. First there's anger and mistrust, then things quickly move forward as if the nine years hadn't separated them at all. Until tragedy strikes again. But these two have learned a lot over the years and their love can overcome any stumbling block.

When I got the book through NetGalley, life an other things kept me from taking the time to read it until now. Now I don't know what took me so long. I loved ever moment of this book. I laughed, I cried, I couldn't put it down.

Love, Love, Love Jen Frederick and her writing. Can't wait to re-read "Lainey's List" in book format when it's available.
