This was a book that sounded like one I was going to really get in to and enjoy reading. I unfortunately found it slow and boring. I wanted to be pulled in and held into the book as I was reading. I was looking for more twists and turns and to be kept guessing what was going to happen. I also wanted to connect with the characters a bit more.
I am positive there are many readers who will devour this book.

lots of people in life have gray areas about them. lots of people arent who we think they are or choose to have in our life. not all actions can be explained. and sometimes things happen that change everything.
this is a book a group of friends that werent always the nicest or morally good. and clearly there was something that occurred on holiday that left a deep mark. so much so that one of the friends, on her return home cuts all ties with the friends. but the terrible thing is she also cuts ties with her sister and even her own son. she leaves without a trace. only the odd card shows her sister she is still alive.
her sister took on the son, there was after all noone else. but she has never given up the hope or search. then one day a posted picture online gives her a clue. a picture from the girls holiday in Ibiza all those years ago. and so starts her search. she is determined that 15 years later she will finally find the answers. but she might regret her decision to dig deeper. as what comes next is a dark web of secrets, lies, and it could get worse than she ever imagined.

this was a brilliant thriller. it packed such a punch. the twists i never saw coming which is another excellent tick box for me that elevates this novel even higher.
i recommended this book to anyone. its top tier thriller work.

A dark, twisty thriller with an interesting cast of characters. Starts with a murder but as the plot evolves we realise that isn't the main plot...what did happen to Anna and how is it all linked?

Very well written and tied up in the end.

My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

I struggled with this book for a couple of reasons. I don’t read romance and there is more of that than I am used to.

This is a very common plot nowadays and while I absolutely love a good beach read, this was a much less engaging book when read at home.

The Ibizan location was written richly, I wanted to be there but the eponymous girls, didn’t feel fleshed out enough and even with their secrets and lies and thoughts I couldn’t feel fully gripped.

This book will thrill someone new to the genre.

The Girls Trip is a dark Irish thriller that takes you on the journey of a missing woman, a trip to Ibiza in 2007, unrequited love, and a wedding gone wrong. Dark secrets from a trip in Ibiza lead to a girl cutting all ties with the other girls from the trip and her family when she gets back. 15 years go by without the girl coming home, but sending cards every Christmas. After a picture from that Ibiza trip is found in an online obituary, the older sister of the missing girl decides to dig into what actually happened in Ibiza that made her sister cut all ties and leave her son behind. What Kim finds is a dark web of lies and secrets that she couldn’t have ever imagined.

I binged this book over the weekend and couldn’t put it down. I couldn’t have predicted most of the twists and turns of the story which makes it a great thriller. I loved that all of the characters from Ibiza were morally gray so you couldn’t really root for anyone but at the same time you wanted to find everything out and get closure. I think if a book is written well (which this one definitely was), it can make you feel something for even the worst situation and worst characters.

Zoë Miller’s The Girls’ Trip is the perfect blend of suspense, mystery, and psychological drama. From the very first page, I was hooked on the intrigue surrounding Anna’s disappearance and the dark secrets buried in her past.

The story unfolds beautifully, jumping between past and present as Kim digs into what really happened in Ibiza all those years ago. The friendships between Julia, Cora, Faye, and Anna are layered with tension, guilt, and hidden betrayals, making every chapter feel like peeling back another layer of a long-buried secret.

I loved the way the suspense builds—every time I thought I had figured it out, another twist came along that made me question everything. The characters are flawed but compelling, and their shifting loyalties kept me second-guessing their motives right until the shocking conclusion.

If you love gripping psychological thrillers with eerie atmospheres and complex female friendships, The Girls’ Trip is a must-read. It’s a book that will keep you up late, racing through the pages to uncover the truth. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I found this book to be far too slow and I ended up bored. There could have been some tension and oomph in the plot but the lack of pace ruined it for me and the whole thing felt quite lacklustre. The characters are okay, not particularly likeable though and I struggled to connect to them. There are some twists but again they were quite weak and did not add enjoyment to the read.

The girls trip’ is a super gripping psychological thriller, a bit racy, extremely suspenseful and just insanely good!!

For sure it took a couple of chapters to get me hooked, but thereafter I really couldn’t put it down.

The story starts with a woman, Kim, searching for her sister, Anna, who, in a move that was wholly out of character, took off for London 15years previously with only the occasional Christmas card to maintain contact. Kim is keen for contact and her pursuit of Anna leads her to track down a group of friends Anna met on holiday before her departure, feeling Anna’s relocation was related to this holiday in some way.

As the story progresses we discover the salacious details of what went down on the fated holidays as well as some pretty crazy repercussions!

Well written, really interesting characters and with a plot that is utterly mind blowing this is one book that I can’t recommend highly enough!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

This is such a brilliantly gripping thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish, the plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns, making it impossible to predict what will happen next.
The writing is both engaging and suspenseful, with well-developed characters that add depth to the narrative.
The pacing of the novel is perfect, with just the right amount of tension to keep readers hooked without feeling overwhelmed.
The setting is vividly described, creating an immersive atmosphere that enhances the overall reading experience.
Highly recommended!

For me, there was nothing special about "The Girls' Trip", even considering quite a formulaic genre. Don't get me wrong, even a known formula can be executed well. However in this novel... it just doesn't land. Yes there are twists and turns and some red herrings but it doesn't make up for a fact that characters (and their motivations) fell quite flat and the author seems to be struggling with at times showing too much and telling too little. There are some strange narrative choices to dedicate a lot of time to what the characters were wearing and what colour is their hair, at the same time leaving certain exchanges or actions quite vague.

I got the feeling that "The Girls' Trip" was supposed to be a kind of a social commentary, but it lacked finesse. For example Cora's aspirations are hard to understand, same goes for the games played by rich and wealthy that simply don't feel believable.

The romance plot also seems like an afterthought.

It's not a challenging in the slightest, just another book that you slip in your luggage when going on beach holiday, perhaps to Ibiza.

I love books such as this one.. They are the perfect holiday read.

Missing girls mystery and a Ibiza setting make this a suspenseful and intriguing read.

I loved the girls the sunshine and most if all how the story unfolded. I was kept in suspense and had no idea what would happen come the end.

I was not disappointed and this book satisfied my need as a reader

A dark Irish mystery about a young woman who disappears, supposedly relocating to London and the quest of her sister to find her and work out what has happened.
One day Anna leaves her sister, Kim and her young son Sean, in order to start a new life in London. All Kim ever gets is the odd Christmas card, no phone calls or visits. Sean misses his mother terribly and Kim has to bring him up alone as they have no other family.
15 years go by and Kim sees a clue to Anna’s whereabouts online. She disappeared after a holiday to Ibiza when something dreadful happened, something that she would never talk about and there is a reference to that period on Facebook when someone posts a photo.
Trying to track down Anna’s friends from that holiday proves very difficult and it soon becomes clear they don’t want to be found.
This is a dark mystery and not a light hearted chicklit ’ holiday story. No one is as they seem and to be frank most of the characters are pretty unpleasant apart from Kim, Sean and Daniel.
Cora seems to be the worst, followed by Faye and Julia. All three have something to hide and this is gradually revealed as the book progresses.
I found the novel quite dark although it was definitely gripping and made me want to turn the pages to find out how it all would end.
It is definitely a book I would recommend to lovers of psychological noir fiction.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for my advance copy.

She had it coming. So had the others. In 2007, Cora, Faye, Anna and Julia returned home from a week together in Ibiza with secrets to keep. When they agreed never to contact each other again, all traces of their holiday were erased. Or so they thought. Now, almost seventeen years have passed since that trip and Anna's sister Kim is still picking up the pieces after Anna abruptly abandoned her life to start over in London, the occasional Christmas card her only contact ever since. Kim has always been sure that Anna's leaving had something to do with Ibiza she'd never been the same afterwards. And when a photo from the trip surfaces, Kim finally has some clues to start looking into what happened to her sister! Good book, this book had suspense, intriguing, murder, mystery, dark past secrets, and a few shocking twists! The story was interesting, it wasn’t one of my top favorites but still worth reading! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

First off, the title and cover are very misleading. This isn’t a girls trip at all. It’s more like two girls work in a bar in Ibiza and a couple others run into them and stay with them for a bit. Nothing about pools and beaches and wonderful weather. I’m not sure I would have requested it had I known. These four girls interact and basically one is just a using manipulative b who blackmails and doesn’t care what happens to anyone else.

When Kim decides enough is enough and she’s not sure her sister really is in London, she starts looking for clues and finds these girls. What happened in Ibiza and exactly who is responsible??
