This book has such an interesting voice and such an intriguing premise. I enjoyed it enough, but it wasn’t a book i’d run out and buy.

The intertwining of the coming of age and Yorkshire Ripper case is delicately done. There're no information dumps but nevertheless it's there and making this rather typical personal story into something more interesting.
