I enjoyed these. Thought the storyline was a bit slow at moments and had some “filler” chapters, but the general banter was cute and spicy, and the sexy scenes were- enticing (lol). I’d recommend.

Book 1: 3.75 stars
Vincent and Piper had one of the best meet-cutes I have ever read. It was hilarious, and the two of them together brought out some pretty good banter. The characters were crafted extremely well and I really liked the aspect of the two of them fake dating to help with their own personal goals. Then those lines bled as the two started falling for each other but trying to make sure to keep it professional. The book was great. I do admit it was a little long and there was a bit of filler that was a little hard to read. The ending of the book as well threw in a trope that I really don’t like and I also feel wasn’t exactly needed to tie the biggest bow to the story. Besides that, Piper is a character to admire and Vincent learns so much from her and in the end, I really liked these characters as well as the story, and I’m sad to end it.

Book 2: 3 stars
Aiden and Cora’s second chance romance was cute as heck. They had some good banter and it was a pretty enjoyable read. Cora being a mixologist and having a secret influencing persona was really interesting to me, and how it meshed really well with Aiden being the CEO of Elixir, a liquor brand. The two together being a highschool couple that broke up and were brought together again was just a chef’s kiss. However, I just didn’t mesh with them. I couldn’t always believe that their love would last and I don’t think I really liked them as characters. I didn’t feel that click with them, despite really liking their story. Aiden needed a lot of self help that I bet could have been realized sooner than it was in the book. He gave advice to his friend who was drinking and yet none of his friends or family gave him advice to seek help for his anger problems? I liked the story and it was a fun read, I personally didn’t vibe with the characters. I would still recommend this book and I loved how it gave little snippets of Vincent, Piper, Paul, and Chloe from book one.

Book 3: 3.75 stars
Out of the three, I think this one was definitely my favorite! Not only did we get Trent and Natasha, but Dominic got his second chance at love with Natasha’s bestie, Stacy, and I absolutely love her. To me, this book was easy to eat up, kept me hooked, and I got to see more of the other characters from the previous stand-alones. Trent and Natasha were SERVING with their enemies to lovers, faking dating, and their workplace romance was FIRE! The only thing I really didn’t like was the miscommunication the two shared and as much as I love that they got their HEA, I don’t believe that Natasha should have forgiven Trent that quickly, nor put a ring on it right after. That part seemed a little too unrealistic to me. But I was hooked and in love with every single character in this book, especially Nana Dee because come on, if she isn’t your favorite by the end of this then I’m sad.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the ARC for this box series and all opinions are my own!

Perfect (mis)Match - Piper and Vincent find that they can be of use to each other if they work together. During a necessary work trip, their pretend relationship suddenly becomes very real.

On the Rocks - Cora and Aiden have history, but when they run into each other again, Cora cannot let go of the hurt he caused her. Now a successful CEO of his own alcohol company, he needs Cora's skills as a mixologist. Their chemistry reignites and they work to let go of the past.

Designed for Disaster- Natasha and Trent do not hit off well and hate each other at first sight. This leads to a fake relationship with family drama mixed with business. The characters from the previous two books also appear in this, and it enables Trent to show a whole other caring side of himself which Natasha likes

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC! I loved it!

I love a big grumpy hero story, and North delivers exactly that. There is a trick to these: The redemptive arc needs to show that he wasn’t truly a horrible person, but instead there was a good person there. The first and third stories meet my thoughts on this. Book two wasn’t my favorite - I think I would have advised someone to drop him. Leslie North fans will enjoy this book.

BOOK 1
3 STARS
First of all, thank you to NetGalley, Relay Publishing & Leslie North for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

I am usually obsessed with romances, so I went in with high expectations. It was a fun book overall, the characters had their moments but there were places I felt everything was too stereotypical, something we've already seen. Sometimes, the main characters Piper and Vincent were just being mean to each other. I understand that enemies to lovers arcs need a certain balance of the hatred but their hatred wasn't well developed enough for me to see it play out. There were cute moments throughout, which made it a fun read, but it wasn't something I was too shocked by. Or excited by.
Coming to the main characters. I really really tried to like Vincent. He had his moments, of course. But it was just too difficult for me to feel for him. The author did get the broody billionaire correct because that's mostly what Vincent does. His arc fell flat.
Coming to Piper, it was much easier to like her. Feel for her. However, when you combine her with Vincent, their relationship just feels fake in the way they speak and act. It feels very surface level
However, it was a fun read. There weren't any "wow" moments but I enjoyed it.

BOOK 2
3.25 STARS.
First of all, thank you to NetGalley, Relay Publishing & Leslie North for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Now, this time, I went into the story with lesser expectations than the previous one and this was slightly better than the previous. I must say, more than their individual characters, I loved their relationship a lot more. Seeing the development and the way they interact with each other made me feel more for their characters.
HOWEVER, I do have a bone to pick with Aiden. Sometimes, I'm not a huge fan of the second chance romance trope just because of how it can show the worst shades and red flags of a male MC, which is then brushed under the rug. While Aiden's temper seems to be his fatal flaw, him breaking up with Cora twice just made him a bad character. And there were times when I wanted to scream at Cora to leave, but oh well. It was an exciting ride along.

BOOK 3
1 STAR
First of all, thank you to NetGalley, Relay Publishing & Leslie North for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Alright, so this was the one I couldn't get into at all. I had a laugh to myself because the title is the best review line for this book. Pretty much everything about it was designed for disaster. By the time I got to this book in the series, I think I got the memo and told myself to expect something more chill vibes and not much of development. I'm giving that one star for Natalie. She was the saving grace of this story, being so determined and resilient but guarded with her emotions at the same time.
And then we have Trent. Of all the male leads in this series, this guy has to be the worst one. Him and Natalie didn't work together, there was no emotional build up or chemistry for me to feel for their relationship. Natalie tried to do the heavy lifting and it just didn't work out, I guess. The whole time they're together, it felt like forced interaction than them actually wanting to be together.

It took me quite some time to read this one because there were three books, but OH I LOVED THEM SO MUCH. the writing was immaculate, the plots were just what i needed (bossholes?? count me IN) and they were honestly so much fun. I really loved the banter and the second book honestly has my heart. I hope to read more about this author asap!

I have never read anything by this author, but I will be looking out for other books they write in the future. I really enjoyed the story as well as the pacing of the story.

Manhattan Bossholes delivers exactly what it promises—three swoon-worthy billionaire romances packed with tension, banter, and grumpy heroes who are impossible to resist. Each story follows a feisty, ambitious woman forced into close quarters with an arrogant boss, leading to plenty of sparks and unexpected romance. From Piper’s fake-dating mishap with a perfume mogul to Cora’s second-chance run-in with a mixology king, and Natasha’s enemies-to-lovers furniture design drama, Leslie North keeps the pages turning with witty dialogue and steamy chemistry.

While the stories follow a predictable but satisfying formula, the dynamic characters and engaging writing make this box set a fun escape. Some tropes lean heavily into clichés, but the emotional payoff and humor make up for it. If you love grumpy-sunshine billionaire romances with strong heroines who refuse to back down, this is the perfect binge-worthy collection.

This Boxset contains three spicy romance novels focused on Grumpy bosses in Manhattan. This series is by Leslie North and I had not read her before however I really enjoyed these and would definitely recommend her and read her other books

Perfect (mis) Match is Piper & Vincent’s story. When Piper and Vincent have a fender bender in the parking garage, they cannot stand each other and are adamant the accident is the other ones fault. After running into each other again at Pipers brother engagement party, Vincent realizes he needs Pipers help to harvest a rare ingredient he needs for his perfume line. Bring on the fake dating, third act break up and HEA! I loved these two, and the steam was perfect! 4.25 stars

On the Rocks is Aiden & Cora’s story. When the masked mixer turns down Aiden’s proposal to come work at his elite alcohol company, he can’t understand her motives. He threw charm, money, a job and even more money at her. He didn’t realize her real identity was Cora, an ex girlfriend from high school. After being convinced to work together, they can’t deny their chemistry and the spark they had all those years ago. Cora is finally settling into a relationship with Aiden, but what actually broke them up in the first place? And will it happen again? This one was my least favourite of the 3 but still great. This is a second chance, steamy romance. 3.75 stars

Designed for Disaster is Trent & Natasha’s story. After getting Natasha fired from the cafe she was working to make ends meet until her furniture business took off, Trent hires Natasha to design some pieces for his grandmother. Natasha can’t stand Trent but can’t give up the opportunity to hone her craft and get paid for it. After Nana Dee mistakes Natasha for Trent’s girlfriend, the fake dating begins. Until it’s not so fake anymore. As Trent and Natasha explore their real feelings for each other, a familiar face sweeps into try and break them apart. Do Natasha and Trent have what it takes to see things through and learn to trust each other? 4 stars

Overall the boxed set is a solid 4 stars! I look forward to reading more from this author!

Sure! Here's a combined and cohesive review of the *Manhattan Bossholes* series based on the individual book reviews you've provided:

---

**The Manhattan Bossholes Series – A Grumpy-Sunshine Billionaire Romance**

If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers, second chances, and some spicy billionaire romance, then Leslie's *Manhattan Bossholes* series is the perfect read for you! The books in this series dive into the lives of strong, independent women who find themselves caught up with grumpy billionaires who need a little help opening their hearts. Each book in the series has its own unique charm, but they all share themes of self-discovery, emotional growth, and a dash of fun.

### **Perfect (Mis)Match (Book 1)**

Piper's world is falling apart—her career is stagnant, she's lost her boyfriend, and things couldn't get worse… until she literally crashes into Vincent, a hot billionaire with a snazzy car. It’s a case of instant sparks and fiery tension. Despite Vincent's grumpy attitude, Piper refuses to back down, and the two embark on a fake-dating scheme that turns into something much deeper. Their journey is full of miscommunications, steamy moments, and emotional growth. What I loved most was the quirky characters, especially Nana Dee and the Lost Boys, who added so much fun and heart to the story. The mix of *grumpy x sunshine*, *billionaire x free spirit*, and *enemies to lovers* made this a truly enjoyable rom-com with a little extra spice.

**Tropes**:
- Enemies to co-conspirators to lovers
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Billionaire x Free Spirit
- Fake Dating
- Brother’s Best Friend

### **On The Rocks (Book 2)**

In this second book, Cora is trying to move forward with her dream of owning her own bar when her ex, Aiden, walks back into her life—completely unaware of the heartbreak he caused years ago. As a successful CEO now, Aiden wants to rekindle what they once had, but Cora's not sure if it's worth the risk of revisiting the past. I absolutely loved this second-chance romance! The chemistry between Cora and Aiden was undeniable, and watching them navigate the issues from their past was both emotional and sweet. The story also touches on the importance of growth and how people change over time. The side characters, especially Nana Dee and Dom, bring some extra layers to this delightful story.

**Tropes**:
- Second Chance
- Boss x Employee
- High School Sweethearts
- *Touch her and die*
- Billionaire

### **Designed for Disaster (Book 3)**

Trent and Natasha have a rocky start in *Designed for Disaster*. Trent is a grumpy billionaire with some serious family issues, while Natasha is a crafty, independent woman just trying to get by. Their first meeting was far from smooth, but fate throws them together when Trent needs Natasha's help after she loses her job because of him. The forced proximity leads to steamy chemistry, but as with the other books, their relationship faces some serious bumps. What I loved about this book was the focus on personal growth, but I’ll be honest—Trent took a little while to warm up to, and Natasha wasn't as compelling as Piper and Cora. Still, the emotional payoff at the end was worth the ride.

**Tropes**:
- Billionaire x Crafty Girl
- Best Friends Dating Best Friends
- Family Drama

---

Leslie's writing shines through with each book in the *Manhattan Bossholes* series. Each hero has his flaws, but their growth alongside the strong female protagonists is what really drives the story. Whether you're in the mood for some fiery tension, a sweet second chance romance, or a tale of redemption, this series has something for every reader. If you're looking for a binge-worthy rom-com with humor, steam, and heart, this is the one to dive into.

This was my first time reading Leslie North and it will not be my last! I truly love the grumpiness of her characters and the smut in general but the romance was seriously lacking. It was cheesy and cliche and just not very fun. I would have appreciated more angst and groveling,,, it would have added a level of drama to pre-empt the dreaded and awful third act breakup. I just really didn't appreciate that, and due to my feelings about the perfect (mis) match I did not even read the other books just because I could tell I wouldn't enjoy them. Looking forward to trying other books by her however!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Perfect (Mis)Match (Book 1)

Piper is a hot little pistol deep in a rut. She's lost her "boyfriend", her career is stagnant, and her dream goal is distant. So, of course, the thing she needs is a literal run-in with some douche with a snazzy car claiming that she tried to take his parking spot. Who cares if he's hot?! 😏 Vincent is in crisis mode because he can't get his hands on a rare flower to make his latest cologne. He promised the world this specific fragrance and Vincent Forde always delivers. So why did this girl ruin his morning and where the hell did his parking space sign go?! 🤷‍♀️

I loved this. I don't normally get this excited over a cutesy rom-com, but my girl Leslie knows what she's doing. Piper and Vincent are fantastic characters and I LOVE Nana Dee and the Lost Boys. What absolute fun!

Tropes :
☠️🤝❤️ - Enemies to co-conspirators to lovers
😒😁 - Grumpy x Sunshine
💰📸 - Billionaire x free spirit
😎😚 - Fake dating
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 - Brother's best friend

On The Rocks (Book 2)
Of all the bars in Manhattan, why'd he walk into this one? Cora, the Masked Mixer, is trying to get her nest egg built up to have the bar of her dreams. But the night of an important competition with a nice pay day, her ex and CEO of his own spirits company tries to smooze her. He doesn't even recognize her even though he broke her heart 15 years ago. How dare he!? But....he is still hot and his company has a good reputation......

So cute! I love Cora and Aiden. While not all relationships are meant to be revived, I think this one was. I loved seeing the whole gang rally around Aiden and Dom (who is going through his own struggles) and Nana Dee. There are so many great characters in this book and so many opportunities to think about how things change as we grow up.

Tropes
🥈Second chance
🤵‍♂️🍹Boss x Employee
🎓🎓HS sweethearts
👉👩& 💀 Touch her and die
💰💰 Billionaire

Designed for Disaster (Book #3)
Natasha is working really hard to keep herself afloat. Bustling with multiple part-time jobs and her side hustle of designing custom furniture, she definitely doesn't have time to squabble with some douche having a yelling match on his phone. But when Coffeezilla turns the table on himself and her, she finds herself with one less paycheck and an arch-nemesis. Trent just wants his parents to leave him alone. After all, they've been so good at that his whole life. He's got stuff to do and now some barista is giving him a hard time. Serves her right to get fired after treating him so badly. He just can't help but notice her though.

I thought this was cute. I definitely liked the first two books better. Trent was so unlikable for so much of the book. Even though he does have a sweet side and shows it often, he just wasn't my fave of the MMCs in this series. Natasha is okay. Again, she's not my favorite. She's spicy, but not as interesting a character as Piper and Cora. I love that Dom comes out of left field in this one and snags him a babe too. Good for him after what happened in Book 2.

Tropes :
💰🪚 Billionaire x Crafty girl

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Drama

I will split my review into the overall feeling of the books and then specifically about each book.

All three books were really easy reads, they all gave a similar feeling and had a similar build. They all followed the same formula: they hate each other, the FMC starts working for the MMC, they get together, there is a conflict and the MMC breaks off their relationship, he regrets his actions, he goes to say sorry, the FMC is reluctant at first but ultimately forgives him, happy end.

I would have liked to see a little variation and maybe have a twist because now I knew what to expect from the third book. It didn't surprise me nor did it make me read faster to see how it would end or what the conflict would be in the third act.

The first book: Piper had such a sunshine feeling about her, I really do believe Vincent just got instantly happy being in her vicinity. I thought their relationship evolved at the right moment. They had enough time to get to know each other and change their minds about their first impressions. Vincent did actually change, so Piper's first impression was actually correct.

The second book: My first thought within the first few chapters was: How can Aiden not recognize Cora when she was only wearing an eye mask. You would think Aiden would remember an ex of his, because she is basically part of the reason he doesn't do relationships anymore. Also, Cora, girl. Why would you get into a relationship with someone who never gave you a reason for your breakup and has shown no change since that time? I think they should have started communicating better way earlier.

The third book: I thought this book was the least best of all of them. Maybe part of this is due to the formula never changing and feeling repetitive. Natalie felt really flat. She changed her mind about Trent SUPER fast, there was almost no enemies part in this book. Trent is, like the title of the trilogy, a real a-hole. He gets someone fired because he put something on a table that had a sign it was broken. Honestly, I would have never gotten over that. Someone who is rude to people trying to do their job and helping is a major red flag for me.

OK, I’ve officially read all three books
I like the first book I really enjoyed the dynamic between the leads- I gave it a 5 star
The second book- I hated the MMC but loved the FMC- I started noticing the same plot as the first- I gave it 2.5 stars and rounding to 3
The third book- I’m sick of the formula. It’s the same three books but with different character names and same exact themes.- I gave it 3 stars because I liked the side characters more. I rooted for a dude couple more than the main.

It’s not a bad series but it needed more variation in the stories
