No sé qué calificación ponerle; el libro está lleno de contradicciones de principio a fin y no sé cómo sentirme al respecto. Honestamente, al final no tengo idea de cuál era la intención de la historia.

Interesting premise and an in depth view of living immunocompromised especially in the days of covid. Almost educational in the level of detail for both main characters and their professions.

What I Loved/Enjoyed About The Book:
StoryWriting/Structure:
* 35 Chapters In The Book Which All Goes Well Together
* Different wavy type of front used for headings
* Attractive and unique style of writing
Characters:
* Spyros
* Minerva
Background/A Bit Of The Plot Without Giving Anything Away:
A unique and beautifully thoughtful love story between Spyros & Minerva. Follow them on a journey which is a first in this genre as it’s based of an illness which authors don’t really write about much.
It shows how sometimes a random person can change your entire life. How friendship turns into love. Open air love.
Highly Recommended I Will Give This 4 Out Of 5 Stars

This is my first 5-star read in 2 years. I devoured this in one sitting!
As someone with multiple chronic illnesses/ rare diseases (POTS included), this book was such a beautiful depiction of the reality of what life is like.
It showed how being ill steals away relationships. Friendships wither, people leave, others just see you as another person who they can overlook. If something doesn't impact a person's life directly, they rarely care.
The attitude of doctors is also perfectly captured. Medical professionals just see you as another number and medical gaslighting can lead to so much trauma. Research is lacking and money is not put towards a solution because we are not important enough to waste money or resources upon.
This book also fully shows how love is never unconditional. So many of my fellow spoonies are going through divorces and break ups. It takes someone of extraordinary strength to be a caregiver. And to those caregivers (including my 73yr old mum who is looking after her 33yr old daughter), they are few and far between. These people, much like the MMC, are anything and everything but "ordinary".
All stages of someone who lives with a life-changing illness are depicted. How life was, and the grief we must carry over a life we will never have being one. The main stage is the fear- that things could get so much worse. A small cold of a passerby means hospitalisation for pneumonia with us. The fear of being around others is real and so well represented. To some it may seem over exaggerated, but it is not just paranoia, it is a very real lived experience.
Lastly, this book provides hope. That there are always people in your corner and to not take anyone or anything for granted.

This captivating novel will resonate with readers who are drawn to poignant, slow-burn romances that delve into the intricate nature of life, love, and the complexities of self-discovery. It will particularly appeal to those who appreciate narratives centered around resilience, second chances, and the profound ways in which human connection can transform and heal.
The story's exploration of themes such as forgiveness, redemption, and the enduring power of love will leave a lasting impression on readers, inviting them to reflect on their own experiences and relationships. The author's evocative prose and nuanced character development will draw readers into the lives of the protagonists, making their journey of self-discovery and healing feel both intimate and universal.
