These kind of books always get me. The description of the book is what drew me in and i’m not disappointed! I love the storyline, but it does give me anxiety lol

I read this in a day. I couldn’t put it down. Loved all the mystery and suspense in this story. Aria has no memory of her life before the accident. Only a dream that makes no sense, yet invades her nightmares! This was such a good story, gripping psychological thriller, you won’t want to put this one down!

Aria West suffers from retrograde amnesia, with no recollection of her first 30 years. Living in isolation with her agoraphobic and controlling husband, she starts to question everything she’s been told after experiencing intense nightmares. Are these dreams fragments of returning memories? And if so, what do they reveal about the truth she’s been made to believe?
While the premise intrigued me, I found the story highly predictable—I guessed the twist almost immediately and kept hoping for an unexpected turn that never came. Aria’s choices often left me frustrated, making me want to scream at her, though I could understand them given her limited options. Despite my frustrations, I was invested enough to keep reading, eager to uncover the details of her past and see how she would ultimately escape her circumstances.

It has been two years since Aria woke up in a hospital with no idea who she was. Luckily her husband was there to fill in some of the gaps and now she is an artist making a living selling her sculptures. All is not calm in her life, though. She keeps having the same nightmare and now she is starting to remember her past … or is she. Her husband is not supportive of her trying to get her memories back. Why?
I Remember You is a stand-alone thriller that had a lot of potential yet was extremely predictable. Without spoilers, it was easy to know where the story was going next; the only reason to read the book was to learn how the characters discovered the truth. If you love to hate characters, then this is the book for you. I was screaming at Aria (in my head) most of the time I was reading the book because I didn’t understand why she put up with everything. I Remember You should be added to your TBR list if you really want a predictable read.

I enjoyed this book so much. It was gripping and I couldn't stop reading it. It was full of mind-games and twists, making it impossible to put the book down.
Aria lost her memory due to a head injury. She´s living with her husband and her life seems perfect. But she keeps having nightmares and fragments of memories keep coming back to her - only that they don´t match the narrative her husband set for her.
I loved how the author dived deep into characters. The story was well developed and the way the truth slowly reveals is so gripping. Even though the ending is foreseeable, it´s not about that. The author really concentrates on the story and deepening the characters, unpacking their trauma and issues.
I finished the book within few days because I just couldn´t stop reading. Great book!

Another fantastic read by Theo Baxter.
This story was so interesting yet sad. The fact this type of thing happens is just insane.
The mind is a delicate organ yet strong and can withstand
so many crazy things.
If you want to read a master and story telling then you need to grab on to Theo Baxter’s books. You won’t be sorry.

Honestly this was not the greatest book, the plot was so predictable, I could tell where the story was going almost immediately. Yes, there were some twists and turns that I didn't see coming but it was still easy to figure out.
Poor Aria had no memories at all of from before her accident and was having nightmares that seemed to be from her past and like they were memories that she should have. Austin was a good A douche, he was so manipulative and gaslighted her so much that I almost didn't even finish the book because he was just so annoying. Her therapist was about the only character I liked other than Aria because she didn't deserve the things Austin put her through and he helped her get through so much.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
This is the second book of his I’ve read and i definitely enjoyed the suspense. I loved the plot of the FMC who has lost her memory and is trying to figure out what happened to get here to this place. I will say that the flashbacks didn’t move the story forward and the MMC’s “red pill” mindset and behavior made me want to put the book down. I’m glad i pushed through to find out what really happened. I enjoy his writing so I’ll definitely be exploring more of this catalog.

this is such a good book! It has so many good twists and turns, and I love the way it flowed. I really enjoyed this book, and the build up of suspense was great!!! I like the way this was written, and how the characters were written!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

I was able to pretty quickly pinpoint the twist but the writing was fantastic. And the book was hard to put down. I enjoyed the main character and how easy it was to get pulled into the story.
Thanks to NetGalley for the copy of this ARC. This will be out on March 30!

I really enjoyed this one. It was hard to put down. It kept me wanting more. The characters are amazing! And I love the title and the story line. Such an amazing book!

A great read! From chapter one I remained on the edge of my seat rooting for Aria to get everything she deserved.
This is a story of struggle, love, self re-discovery, and new beginnings.
Living the perfect life seems to be the thing that we all strive for. At surface level, Aria has it all. She has a successful, and lucrative, career, a husband who insist on her safety, and a stable cabin safety tucked in the woods. Her life makes perfect sense; however, she can't help the nagging feeling that something is "off."
Theo took me on an emotional rollercoaster that had me second guessing everyone and everything in the book. I Remember You is an amazing read, I completely inhaled this book. Once I finished the read, the story felt complete. I would absolutely recommend this book to other readers.

This was an amazing and brilliant thriller. I got through this one in one-sitting and it was just very great.
Fast-paced, edge of my seat all the way long.
Thank you for this ARC. This is an honest feedback.

Aria west suffers from retrograde amnesia following an accident two years ago. She can’t remember anything about the first 30 years of her life. Aria and her husband, Austin live in a cabin out in the country, away from most people and places. Aria has nightmares and flashbacks and is struggling with all of her lost memories. This book is dark and twisty. I was able to figure out the plot pretty early on in the book, but it is a quick, face paced thriller for all to read. For some, there are some trigger warnings for this dark & suspenseful read. I absolutely hated Austin but it makes tons of sense why after finishing. I would love to read more of Theo Baxter’s books after devouring this one so quick.

While writing this, I'm still wondering if I should rate it 5 stars instead. But I guess if I'm hesitating, the answer is probably no. With that said though, this was GREAT.
I love thrillers, I love the fast pace, I love reading about villains who piss me off, I love wondering what the twist is. This one had it all.
I initially started it in the evening, right before bed, thinking I'd do a few chapters. Ended up awake until 1am because I could not put it down. The way the emotions and the confusion with the FMCs amnesia and all that it brings on was described made the whole experience incredibly immersive. I loved the writing style in general but more specifically felt like the mindset of Aria was written so well.
Sure, her choices and actions made me angry. But that's what makes it good. Not even gonna talk about the MMC because I will go into a fit of rage over the disgrace of a human that he was. But once again, written SO well.
The one thing though, that I also feared might happen, and that pulled it down to like a (very strong) 4.5 was the ending. It was predictable from about halfway through the book, which in itself didn't even really bother me, but I just dislike those cookie cutter "2 months later" style endings. They're more fitting for romance, I much prefer for my thriller to cut off at a point that gives some resolution but also leaves me wondering how the characters went to live on.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience, just the pacing I wanted from a thriller and I will definitely need to look through the authors other works.
Big thanks to Netgalley for providing this copy in exchange for an honest review.

I Remember You had me completely absorbed from the very first page. Aria’s struggle to piece together the fragments of her past, and the unsettling feeling that something is off with her husband, Austin, was so well done. I could really feel her confusion and fear as she tried to make sense of her memories and the inconsistencies in Austin’s story. The suspense built gradually, and I couldn’t wait to find out what was really going on. Aria’s journey to uncover the truth about her past and reclaim her life was gripping, and the twists kept me on edge. The mystery surrounding her head injury and her husband’s behavior was unsettling, and I loved the tension that built throughout. A solid four stars for its emotional depth and a plot that kept me guessing until the very end.

Despite what the blurb tells you, Aria does not live the perfect life or a good life. She is unhappy and unfulfilled.
After waking up with a traumatic brain injury two years ago, Aria, with the help of her husband Austin, spent a lot of time relearning everyday tasks to slowly rebuild her life. Unfortunately, the injury left her with retrograde amnesia, meaning she has no memory of the first thirty years of her life, and it appears her neurologist isn’t too hopeful that she will ever fully recover her memory.
While Austin was a big help during her recovery, more recently, he has started struggling with his own mental health. As he continues to neglect his mental and physical health and becomes more erratic, Aria is increasingly revolted by her husband but feels guilty about leaving him after all he has done for her when she was at her worst. When fragments of her old life return, Aria becomes convinced that Austin is hiding something…
The blurb of the book sounded intriguing and could have been a great psychological thriller. Unfortunately, it was obvious from the first chapter where the book was headed. Austin’s bizarre behavior, his gaslighting, and belittling make it quite clear that Aria is extremely unhappy in her marriage, which is in direct conflict with what the story initially promised. The remaining chapters were incredibly predictable, lacking any twists or turns that could have evoked a feeling of suspense or justified the label psychological thriller. I kept waiting for some big reveal to catch me off guard, but the book ended just as I had anticipated.
It looks like plenty of readers still enjoyed the story very much, so don’t let my review deter you.
Thank you to NetGalley, Inkubator Books, and Theo Baxter for a copy. All opinions are my own.

This book was absolutely brilliant. It was fast paced, had real authentic and complex characters and made a trope ( amnesia ) that is often predictable and a little dull, feel new and exciting as Theo Baxter created characters that felt so real, especially Aria and Austen.
Spoilers——————
What I liked :
- Aria and her journey throughout the story, she felt so complex and at moments I wanted to reach into the book and hug her.
- The depiction of emotional and psychological abuse, and how difficult it is for the person in it to identify. I thought this part of the book was really tough to read but so sensitively written.
- The element of the manosphere, and how that affects, promotes and enables a person to feel entitled. I found this part of the novel so compelling as the fear Aria felt when she read his computer, I felt too deep in my bones, making the thriller so engaging and all the more frightening.
- The themes of isolation, loneliness and guilt when in a relationship this toxic, the way these themes are explored are so well done and the silent strength of Aria made me cheer for her when she finally had enough.
- The pacing
What I didn’t like:
- I wasn’t that in love with the relationship between Max and Aria, and kind of wished we seen her build a friendship with Mellisa first and foremost, but the epilogue did kind of change my mind.
Overall, this was a brilliant thriller that I am so honoured to have been able to read.

If you like reading about emotionally abusive relationships, then this book is for you. It surewasn't for me though. The first half was very painful to get through, as it's almost exclusively depictions of the MC being controlled, gaslit, sexually coerced and otherwise emotionally abused by her husband.
Still, I was hopeful, that suffering through the first half would be worth it - it wasn't. The twist turned out to be exactly what I expected, which isn't something you want, when it comes to a twist.
Overall, this was a predictable "mystery" with one-dimensional characters and an awful lotof repetition.. The writing style itself was the saving grace for this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Good book. I really liked the survivor/victim parts. I could see the end coming though, it wasn't a surprise how it ended.. I also could see how her relationship with her new psychologist was going to go too.
