I've been meaning to catch up on this series for so long that when the 5th book came out i decided that was the perfect time.
I always love these books they hook you in from the first page and you won't want to put it down until it's explosive conclusion. Marine is such a fantastic character and paired with Noah these two make an amazing duo, it's a hard read this instalment as it deals with 2 boys being trapped in a bunker losing air and realising they won't be saved, 5 years later there bodies are discovered and it's up to Marnie and Noah to solve this case, heartbreak but a book that I could not stop turning the pages of.
I took some time out between reading some new books and then going back on some older books left on my tbr shelf like I promised myself this year.
This is the secound book in the DI Marnie Rome series. I have been so eager to return to this series as I enjoyed book one so very much.
This was harrowing, two young lads trapped in a bunker who eventually die.
Years later their bodies are found, now ensues gathering what happened and why.
DI Marnie Rome and DS Noah Jakes make a great team, and it was great to learn more about them however Noah seems to be hiding something so that has left me fully intrigued to get to the next book.
I found the last half of this book impossible to put down, headache or not I was going to finish this, not a headache because of the book, no, the heating in my home gives me an headache! but with the snow on the ground the family members are cold.
Onto book 3
My thanks to Headline via Net Galley for my copy
I'm still at it, still playing catch up with series i've neglected. Its forever ago since I read book one, and with book 5 due out soon, I thought it time I played catch up.
Here we are with book 2, a great start and story that held my attention from the word go. Back with DI Marnie Rome and her sidekick Noah Jake.
This time around they are investigating the discovery of two children found in an underground bunker.
But the Who, the what and the why is what they need to figure out. A difficult case to deal with and it's going to need every bit of super power they posess to get through it.
A brilliant, interesting read the book kept my attention all the way through. I'm looking forward to the next one now.
