16 fairy tales with a little twist and 200 pages made this a quick, delightful, entertaining afternoon reading with a full throated laugh at all of them. The stories are the same, the emphasis is just twisted a little. Reut Barak has gathered all 16 of her retelling tales into one book that any and everyone will find funny! 5 stars for each

Funny Fairy Tales is the fairy tale book I needed as an adult. These aren’t too adult in terms of romance and subject matter (well no more so than the Grimms originally penned) but definitely brought a more mature sense to some classics and some less familiar stories. I laughed through all and loved that many of the stories brought in threads from previous ones in the book to create a bit of an interconnected world.

If you miss your old classics but want them to be reimagined to stay fresh as an adult, you’ll adore this collection.

This book is comprised of sixteen of our most loved fairytales from our childhood by The brothers Grimm and Disney, but with an adult spin - sprinkled with other pop culture references.

Reut Barak does an awesome job bringing these characters to whole new, hilarious and adult heights with some risqué dialogue here and there.

Funny Fairy Tales is a light-hearted, and fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek book which is great if you want that nostalgic feeling and laugh your butt off.

I’ve always enjoyed a fractured fairy tale, and this slim volume was no disappointment. None of these were dark or twisted; all were at the comic end of the continuum, so it was a very light and amusing reading experience.

Definitely worth reading for anyone who wants something different funny and certainly not.boring
