Enchantra (Wicked Games #2) is a spicy, enemies-to-lovers dark gothic fantasy romance, that takes place after Ophelia Grimm wins the deadly competition at Phantasma, meets the love of her life, and helps him to escape his father, the King of Hell. This story follows her younger sister, Genevieve Grimm, who struggles to know where she belongs now that her sister is head of the house and settles into her new life.

Genevieve finds an old invitation her deceased mother received from Italy and decides to accept it in her mother's stead and make it into an Italian getaway to sort her thoughts and look for clarity on what to do with her life. Unbeknownst to Genevieve she arrives at a grand old mansion but does not receive a warm welcome. Still, she stubbornly enters and is magically trapped on the property until the family occupying the grand estate plays their annual game. There is only one to leave. You must win the game. The rest of the players die and go back to hell until the following year to repeat the game all over again.

The prize? The winner has the freedom to go wherever they choose for a full year until they must return to play again. The losers are trapped in hell waiting for the chance to compete the following year. The players are siblings and are also immortal. When they are killed in the game, they don't stay dead, their soul goes back to hell and are reset to wait another year. Now that Genevieve is trapped in her host family's cursed game and is human, if she is killed, she will not come back.

The rude brute who slammed the door in her face Rowin Silver forms a plan that will help them both win the game. If he wins one more time, he will be free from the games forever. This will allow him more time and freedom to find the cure to help his mother who is sick and has been suffering for over a decade. The problem with his plan? All his siblings want a year of freedom as well, and this year's competition has a new twist with Genevieve in the mix. The catch? She has to marry Rowin and pretend they are in love for the plan to work and get an advantage in the game. Spectators and the demon who trapped them in this vicious cycle are watching them and they must put on a good show. If they find out the marriage is a farce, it will not end well for any of them.

Thoughts on this new release: In many cases, the second book in a series isn't better than the first, but in this case, in my opinion, it is better. The FMC is even sassier than her older sister (who btw makes a brief appearance as well as her beloved in this story). The relationship between the characters is deeper and I feel like the FMC and MMC have more feelings toward each other. The stakes are high, each game is brutal and you never know what is going to happen. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

I received an audiobook ARC of this book before the book's release in April by NetGalley and Bookouture Audio | Second Sky Books in exchange for an honest review.

Enchantra is Phantasma 2. A new game, new characters, and another level of the fantasy world building, but the same set up.

Let me start by saying I liked this book. I enjoyed listening to the banter, meeting the new characters, learning more about the world, and the hunt of the game. Genevieve is more confident and strong than her sister. I really enjoyed getting to know the siblings. And the plot does move forward at an interesting pace. However, the formula is the same. Enter a game unknowingly, get wrapped up in some supernatural drama, find a way out by being brutal and quick witted. I enjoyed the appearance of Ophelia and Blackwell. And I am a sucker for tattooed and pierced shadow MMCs.

Would I recommend this book? If you liked Phantasma enough to read it twice, this is for you. It's like if you chose your own adventure and picked another character in the beginning. If you're hoping for some incredible new story with a lot of twists and turns... Maybe not. If you like twin tropes, murderous found family, shadow daddies, and marriage of convenience? Go for it! Will I read a third installment? Totally.

Thank you @netgalley for sending me this audiobook arc to listen to in exchange for an honest review!
First and foremost, this is advertised as stand-alone romantasy, but in order to know much about the main character, Genevieve, you would have to read Phantasma first! In regard to the narration, Laura Horowitz did a fantastic job giving each character a unique and particular voice, so they were all easy to tell apart. I felt like the pace was similar to the Phantasma audiobook, which had a solid flow. I love an audiobook and it was entertaining, but the story wasn’t ✨enchanting✨ for me.
As far as the story of Enchantra goes, I really couldn’t get into. I had high hopes since the first book set up Genevieve to be an interesting character, but I didn’t think she had a lot of character development and the love interest felt really rushed. I liked the idea of another deadly competition with a little mystery mixed in, but this just wasn’t for me!

Fantastic audio narration! Could listen to her read the phone book. Now as for the story itself, it had a lot to live up to because of how much I enjoyed Phantasma. I think for people who *don’t* like trials, this one would hit more than book one. But as someone who loathes insta love and lust, I had a long time buying into the relationship. Even though it was an arranged marriage, one of my favorite tropes!! Overall this was a great time, 4 stars, but didn’t quite hit like Phantasma. Looking forward to book 3!!

Wow. If you were a fan of Phantasma then you will love Enchantra. I am always a little weary of second books however this one did not disappoint, While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Genevieve (Vivi ) in book one she really won me over.. I think that my issues with her had a lot to do with Phantasma being told from Ophelia POV. We meet her through the eyes of a big sister who had her own biases.

In this book with Ophelia and Salem happily enjoying their HEA, Vivi goes on another secret quest to continue to find answer about her mother and to find where she belongs. In the pursuit of this she forces her way into the Silver family’s home and find herself trapped in their deadly game. What happens next is a fake marriage, another dangerous game to the death, very fun very spicy times and a whole lot of sibling shenanigans,

I really wasn’t sure if Kaylie Smith could introduce another MMC that i loved as much as Blackwell, however Rowin was fabulous. A Shadow Daddy himself, with all of his tattoos and piercings and being a sweet, strong silent type, he will win your heart easily. Vivi and Rowin have great chemistry and are a perfect fit. However, the real stars of this book are the Silver siblings. They are wildly entertaining especially Graves and Siven. I need book 3 ASAP.

Laura Horowitz did another amazing job as the narrator. I hope that she continues with this series.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture/Second Sky and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to review!

After loving Ophelia and Blackwell's story in book one, I was worried how I'd like this story with the focus shifting to Genevieve, the younger, secretive, reckless sister.
I liked Genevieve well enough. I was happy to see she had a backbone and wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, although she also wasn't afraid to throw the weight of Salem's name around to the Devils and Demons around her. She would not have gotten as far as she did without it. Or her husband. She also seemed to have a lot of resentful and pitying feelings towards her sister for how they grew up. She definitely needs to work through those.
Rowin was almost a carbon copy of Blackwell. Although his extra shadow hands made for some fun scenes.
The overall plot idea was intriguing. I didn't understand parts of it, and I'm not sure if that's because Genevieve didn't understand certain things or because they weren't fleshed out well enough. Like the familiars. I loved Umbra, but what was their purpose? And devils can have humans as their familiars? I don't believe it was ever fully explained.
I liked that we got to see more of the world and more of the creatures living in it.
The family dynamics were interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the siblings in their own stories. But also hoping for more Ophelia and Salem! The small glimpse of them at the end just wasn't enough.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story, and I can't wait to see what book 3 brings!

Thank you SO MUCH to Second Sky and NetGalley for an ARC of this book!

Enchantra continues my obsession for the Wicked Games series. I loved the new characters and hope to see future books for all of the MMC's siblings. I like that you see glimpses of the characters from Phantasma and am excited to see where future books take those characters.

Narration performed by Laura Horowitz was outstanding, and I will absolutely be listening to the audio of future installments.

Perfect for fans of the Kingdom of the Wicked or Prince of Sin series.

I loved Phantasma and went into this without too many expectations because I tend to get didaooointed when the second book to an amazing first isn’t good.

But damncthid was amazing if not even better. Some of my favorite tropes like marriage of convenience, and enemies to lovers. Different but just as intriguing games and trials. My favorite part was seeing more of Vivi and her fiery, sassy personality. I loved her and the sibling dynamic of this book as well as the Silver Siblings.

I cannot wait for the third book and recommend this highly to anyone who enjoyed Phantasma

The narrator was also really incredible. I am normally very picky and if I can’t vibe with the reader I refuse to do audiobook. But Lauren Horowitz did an amazing job she enhanced the chemistry between the characters more than it would have been just reading the book

This was leaps and bounds better than Phantasma. I couldn’t stop listening to the book once I started. Great enemies to lovers, forced proximity, one bed, marriage for convenience/alliance—some of the best tropes. The game was interesting and the family element added to the stakes. Loved the sibling dynamics. I cannot wait to read book three. The narrator was perfection.

"Love. Loathing. Same passion, different names."

Thank you to Bookouture Audio and Second Sky books for the opportunity to listen to and review this early!

Tropes:
- Marriage of Convenience
- Shaddy MMC
- Sunshine FMC
- Competition

What I Liked:
- There is so much I liked about this. Phantasma was one of my favorite books last year, and I knew that when Enchantra was announced it was going to be just as good. This just felt so deeply romantic, with the setting and the couple themselves. Rowin and Vivi were perfect for one another, and the way Kaylie Smith wrote them was just so swoony. The found family in this was also sublime, with most of the siblings welcoming Vivi with open arms. The Silver siblings put the 'fun' in dysfunctional though, and they will make you laugh AND cry. Also, if you liked the pacing of Phantasma, you'll like this one just as much! Short, punchy chapters that feel satisfying at every page. Laura Horowitz did an incredible job at the narration, making every voice discernable (as much as one person can), and really made you FEEL Vivi's emotions. Also, the last fourth of the book had me in tears - but that's for you to find out for yourself.

What I Didn't Like:
- Honestly, not much. The only thing that got slightly repetitive was the nickname, but I loved the rest of the book so much it didn't impact the rating sooo

Final Thoughts:
- Another absolute banger <3

This is just as amazing as the first .. this book is centred around vivi and the silver family and a game of trials and death. Vivi is the kick ass little sister of the main character of the first book I love that she is so confident within herself by the end and she's super smart and the familiars sound so cute

Story: 4.5 ⭐ (Rounded up)
Spice: 3🌶 (Just the perfect amount of spice and plot, IMO) Also, some exhibitionism 👀
Narration: 4.5

I was lucky enough to get early access to the audiobook from Bookouture/Second Sky and it was amazing. Laura Horowitz is phenomenal.

This is book 2 in the Wicked Games series. I feel like you could read this book without reading Phantasma, but if you are wanting the backstory then I highly recommend starting with book 1.

I'm giving this a 4.5 out of 5 because of the ending! I'm so excited that there will be another book because there are some characters I need more info about but also it felt really rushed and I just wanted more.

If you need a morally grey shadow daddy (with piercings) and a curvy, bratty FMC who is stubborn as all hell, meet, and have to work together to win a deadly game. With the best side characters, looking at you Sevin, and even some fun familiars. It was overall just a good time!

Holy smokes. That was so good! I loved the first one but I think I enjoyed this even more. The ending took me by surprise, I was not at all emotionally prepared for it haha. Rowin is so hot, Genevieve is an airhead with a viper bite and I love her. Getting to know her and story, and they way came together was perfect. Excellent. And Laura Horowitz killed it as usual on audio.

This has been one of my most anticipated titles of 2025.

Despite Enchantra having different stakes, different games, and different vibes from Phantasma, it is just as intriguing and delicious.

Vivi and Rowin are such an electric pair of main characters that will continue to catch you off guard from the moment you meet them. Vivi is pure stubborn sunshine that bites (literally) and Rowin is a golden retriever grump with a heart of gold. Add in an eclectic mix of family members, some odd birthday traditions, and a fox familiar that prefers Vivi and Enchantra sets itself apart from Phantasma.

Laura Horowitz returns to narrate this installment and she’s just as phenomenal. She creates a unique presence for each of the seven Silver siblings and it’s truly remarkable. The chemistry between Vivi and Rowin changes throughout and makes the tension palpable. Phantasma is an audiobook that I’ve listened to many times and I know Enchantra will be right there with it.

Get ready to join The Hunt.

See Review of book for content review: So to start, I loved the first book in this stand al0ng series, Phantasma. But this book. WOW. I adored it even more. Something about their chemistry between the main characters, and the family just hooked me. That and it included some of my favorite tropes - forced/arranged marriage/fake dating. I loved the push and pull of the characters and the very real and relatable inner thoughts that preventing them from diving into the relationship full force. Overall, highly enjoyed it and highly recommend!

Audio specifically: When I think of these characters and how they may sound in my mind, they sound very much the same as how Laura portrayed them through her narration. I think she was an excellent cast for this story as her voice and style matched the personality of the characters and the grittiness of the story. I have found that the tone of the narrators voice can have a significant impact on the story and my relationship with the characters for me, and I feel like this choice was one that further attached me to these characters as it was so aligned with the tone of the book itself. Loved it!

I adored the audiobook of Phantasma last year so I was very excited to get the ALC for Enchantra as well this year! I binged it in less than a day because it was just as amazing as Phantasma!

With the world already established in Phantasma, Enchantra wastes no time in getting into the action with the Silver family. Enchantra has some of my favourite tropes in it - marriage of convenience, forced proximity and dangerous games so it's not a surprise that I absolutely devoured this. On top of that, I just love Genevieve - she's curvy, confident, flirtatious and stubborn. When MMC Rowin told her that her body wouldn't be anything he hadn't seen before, she declared "It IS something you've never seen before. Me. And I'm spectacular!" Oh, I just love her. The narrator absolutely killed this line, along with the rest of the book. She does an amazing job at portraying her main character, but also distinguishing all the side characters and really ramping up the tension and the romance. I'll always choose the audiobooks for the Wicked Games series.

Speaking of the Wicked Games series as a whole, I listened to the epilogue and the end credits several times for clues to the next book. I am so excited for it. And now theres the Silver family, I'm praying for more of their stories!

Disclaimer: I received an Advance Listener Copy from NetGalley, but this is my voluntary and honest review.

5⭐️

Welcome to my new comfort read! I am obsessed with both Phantasma & now Enchantra.

I am obsessed with Genevieve and I want to be her bestie. She's a girl who can handle herself, but not in an overpowered, chosen one kind of way. She has a lot of the qualities of her sister, Ophelia from Phantasma, however, she's funnier, wittier and louder than life. Does she have mommy issues? Duh. But at least there's an angsty, arrogant shadow daddy to have a marriage of convenience with so she can try to survive another deadly competition.

The chemistry between Rowin and Vivi was phenomenal. It is a marriage of convenience done right, the two of them are so attracted to each other it hurts. Thankfully they're good at putting on a show to win the competition. As they go through this fake romantic alliance, they start playing a game in a way to ground themselves: "truth, truth, lie". Every time they played, they kept getting closer and I was desperate for them to admit their love.

📖"Fake" Marriage of Convenience
📖Masquerades & impeccable style
📖Deadly Games & Demons
📖Found Family (but a lil stabby!)
📖Paranormal Romance
📖Familiars
📖Curvy FMC

Thank you to Netgalley, Forever & Second Sky for providing me with an eARC & ALC of Enchantra.

Was that even better? I loved the first book, and this one is everything!! It was fun, spicy, and so much family bonding. I enjoyed this book a lot. Quite perfect, with no complaints. This is experiencing your most favorite childhood game as an adult.........of course with lives at stake. I can't wait for the next book, and I have an idea of what it might involve (The first memory Knox took?). Thankyou Netgalley, Kaylie Smith, and Bookouture Audio for the ALC. I absolutely love the narrator, Laura Horowitz who does such a good job relaying all the emotions Genevieve goes through as well as alternate character voices.

I really enjoyed Phantasma so I was super excited to get the ARC for this book, but this one fell flat for me. This follows Genevieve, who we know as Ophelia’s sister, as she goes off on vacation but ends up trapped in a deadly game of hide and seek with a bunch of shadow wraiths. Her only way to stay safe is a marriage of convenience. The romance in this book was really fast paced and I felt like the two MCs didn’t have a lot of chemistry, it was mainly just about the smut. But I will still probably read the third book because I liked Phantasma so much🙃

Thank you NetGallery for this ARC

so i feel a bit conflicted on this book as i didnt hate it by any means but im also not sure i liked it very much???? there was just enough random things through out that kept me interested enough in continuing to read this one.

now ill start by saying that i didnt have the highest of expectations as phantasma was fun, i wasnt in love with it but at least it was FUN.

enchantra had its moments of fun, i thought it started off pretty strong. i was giggling over gens first meeting with rowin, i loved how sassy she was and how he literally just could not be bothered but as we progressed towards the games that was where my interest in both the storyline and our main couple fell off and i found myself caring more about a fox and rowins siblings more than them 🤦🏼‍♀️

i think that the games are completely why i found myself becoming disinterested in our couple because well, they were boring. i kind of expected more from this “hunt” that this family has been trapped into doing for YEARS on end however every game was just hiding in a room until the timer ran out. the siblings for having done this for so long kind of sucked at it? and the lack of magic using was certainly a weird choice to me because it left zero reason for gen to even randomly have power except for getting her inside enchantra gates???? there was exactly one time where we got to see her use her magic and honestly it was a pretty cool thing she did, just for it to never be expanded upon lolol. i wanted more magic, more fighting and running just SOMETHING other than chillin in a room. at the very least if the games weren’t going to be as thrilling and anxiety inducing as phantasmas was make the down time something fun with the main couple??

all in all i cared more about the silver family’s plot lines than i did the one we were currently in. all of the siblings had personality and random things going on that made me want to know more about them. where as gen kinda turned out to just be a massive brat and rowin was just kinda there with his shadows and piercings lol, they had no other personality traits. i didnt find myself caring about these two again until the very end, i like how the story was wrapped up, it was very sweet to me.

i think that this book had a lot of potential had things been a bit more fleshed out, there was a lot of emphasis placed on things to further continue this series which is great and those things do sound intriguing BUT not great when its taking away from why were here in the first place which is gen and rowin.
