This audio was so captivating that my wife had to shake me because I was staring at a wall and not moving for a few minutes.
❤️🔥Original Sinner is a dark, intoxicating romance that pulls you into the depths of desire, lust, and pain. A battle for redemption between rivaling siblings. A divine escape from toxic religion. Lucifer himself is both a seducer and a tormentor, and Charlotte—a woman fleeing the chains of her past—becomes his ultimate temptation.
❤️🔥Ballenger’s writing is lush and haunting. The audiobook elevates it even further. The narrators completely absorb the essence of the characters, making every breath, hesitation, and shift/hitch feel heartbreakingly real. Their performances don’t just tell the story; they breathe life into it.
❤️🔥An unforgettable listen that lingers long after the final word. This is a beautifully twisted story between lust and love.

Thank you to Brilliance Publishing | Brilliance Audio and Netgalley for the advance copy of this audiobook. All opinions in this review are my own!
Ok if you liked the Lucifer TV series, you will definitely like this book! You get fake dating, demons & angels, touch her and die vibes, dom/sub scenes and nice spice! (Please read the trigger warnings, some topics mentioned in the book might not be everyones cup of tea)
I immediately was intrigued by the demons being the seven deadly sins and "ruling" New York making this a fun dark paranormal romance. There were quite a few interesting side characters and I hope we got to learn more about the other siblings in the coming books!
The ending was a really nice one BUT it does end on a cliffhanger.
Narration was well done, loved the British accent and I always LOVE a dual POV with 2 narrators.

The Original Sinner, the Prince of Darkness, the Devil or Lucifer. I don’t care what you call him, but he is alluring, enticing and deceiving. This tale of good versus evil and everything in between grabbed me with both hands and didn’t let me go until I finished the last word of it. Charlotte and Lucifer’s characters are engaging and their chemistry is raw and consuming. Be prepared for all your vices to be fulfilled in one sinful book.

This was an entertaining dark, paranormal romance. It was giving Lucifer (the Netflix show), but with a more serious tone. Definitely check the TWs— there’s a focus on religious trauma and the spice is explicit and prevalent. At the core of it, the story was a mystery. While I could guess parts of the plot, the journey getting there was fun. The MCs were layered and showed growth, but I definitely favored the morally gray MC. There were quite a few side characters, and I wish that we had gotten to know a few of them a bit more. I’m curious to see if the next book explores the other siblings (aka the seven deadly sins) more thoroughly.
Dual narration was well done— I especially enjoyed the effort the actors seemed to have put into timing. Overall great production.

Thank you so much Netgalley and Brilliance Audio for the ALC.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Charlotte and Lucifer's story. Isabelle Turner and Ethan Reid did a fantastic job of bringing their characters to life, and Ethan has definitely become a new favorite of mine 🥵
What to expect:
- devil + human
- boss x employee
- dark romance
- BDSM
- morally grey MC

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 4
Performance – 5
Story – 4
This story is not for the faint of heart. It’s a super-hot, erotic and dark romance with a bit of BDSM thrown in. I have to say that this isn’t my normal cup of tea but I think it was a well written and imaginative story. What really made it shine for me, however, was the fact that I listened to the audiobook; the wonderful performances by the two talented voice actors kept me glued to my earbuds from start to finish. As far as I know, this is the first time I’ve listened to both Isabelle Turner and Ethan Reid. Isabelle did a better job with male voices than Ethan did with female ones but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story.
This is book one of a series and while things seem pretty settled, romance wise, for Lucifer and Charlotte, it does end on a cliffhanger. It will be interesting to see where the next book takes the story.
A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book.

am so beyond impressed with this book. It was not what I expected and it went in directions that made the book fun and really enjoyable.
First of all. Thank you to Netgallery for the ALC I loved the narration!
I have always wanted a darker, more sinful and kinky version of Lucifer the tv show and this book delivers that and so much more.
🖤 BDSM with the devil
🖤 Praise
🖤 Religious trauma
🖤 Good Girl 🫠
🖤 Boss x Employee
🖤 Dark Romance
🖤 Spicy spice
🖤 He is incredibly morally grey
🖤 A mature fmc
This one had me really intrigued from the start. From the trauma of the main character, to her character and of course Lucifer the love interest. I love that this wasn’t the usual take on the story, lucifer didn’t immediately fall in love with her. But when the fallen angel loves, he is vengeance. He is so morally grey, complicated and different that i can’t imagine him in any other way now.
I loved this book and binged listened in 2 days. Really highly recommend.
Please also be aware of this books triggers and check them out before reading if you have any religious trauma especially.

This was just an okay read for me. Maybe I need to quit requesting demon romance books. Luckily for me, this was not nearly as terrible as My Funny Demon Valentine. The spice was great and the plot was not terrible, I just never had any moment where I was dying to get back to listen to this. I think it was partially because I don't think it was well established from Lucifer's POV that he was falling for Charlotte. So when he inevitably becomes protective of her, it felt like it was out of nowhere. Also, while Charlotte has clearly been through some struggle she started out so tough with Lucifer and at the end was a little too forgiving for my taste (I'm petty).
I thought both narrators did a good job and I always love dual POV with 2 narrators. The only thing I was not a fan of was the obnoxious accents of the demon siblings, but maybe that was intentional?
Thank you to Brilliance Audio and NetGalley for the audio ARC. This is my honest opinion.

Audiobook Review
🌟🌟🌟🌟
The seven deadly sins keep high profiles in the Big Apple. If you liked the Lucifer TV series, this book will be right up your lane. You will get demons versus angels, fake dating, spicy scenes, and romance. For some reason, this book gave me Hades and Persephone vibes, not Lucifer vibes. That's why I gave it 4 stars.
The audiobook was great. It's dual narration. They were easy to listen to and understand. Also, easy to follow along! I listened at 2x speed. Isabella Turner's male voice is amazing ❤️😍. I fell in love with her male voice. Lol
Thank you, Netgalley, and Brilliance Publishing, for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Big thanks to NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing for an advanced audio listening copy of Original Sinner in return for an honest review.
I liked many things about this story, although I wasn't completely blown away by it. This was a fun, easy read. Not to mention the narration was fantastic!
[ ] Touch her and die.
[ ] Enemies to lovers.
[ ] Dom/sub dynamic.
[ ] Paranormal—Angels and demons.
I liked how we got right into the story. No in-depth background or world-building.
The characters were pretty interesting. Lucifer was just as you'd expect him to be while also being incredibly loving and caring in his own unhinged way. Charlotte surprised me at every turn, constantly egging on the devil himself with no worries at all. After her extensive religious trauma, she overcomes it with the help of Lucifer. ❤️

Dark romance
Fake dating
Dual narration- Isabelle Turner & Ethan Reid
** British accents. Narration done well voices were enjoyable to listen to.
This book gives me strong feels of the tv show Lucifer mixed with a sprinkle of 50 shades of grey.
For the people who loved Lucifer (tv show) but wanted it to be smutty! This is the book for you.
I really enjoyed this book. I do wish it was Duet narration however it is still very good.
Lucifer and his siblings now run NYC with business and sins. Charlotte gets a job as an assistant at Lucifer’s luxury company.
She is the good girl who wants the bad boy Lucifer the devil.
Dark themes, murder, explicit scenes.
