This was my first book by R.G. Belsky and Bonnie Traymore. SWIPE shows a glimpse of the online dating world, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Fast-paced, quick read with plenty of twists and a great ending.

I really enjoyed it.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Rounding up. Solid 3.5 stars! This was a dual POV between Sonya, who is new to the dating app world; these dates are going terribly and Jake, a reporter who is writing a story about dating apps. Jake doesn’t want to write a story about dating apps but when he starts connecting dots between dating apps and a murder he becomes invested. I was suspicious of every single person in this book and had several theories and I was still mostly wrong so the plot twist was definitely shock. Honestly if the pacing was a little better this would have been an easy 4 stars. The first 70% I was curious but not fully sucked in. The last 30% of it was perfectly paced. I didn’t want to put it down. I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Twisty, thrilling and fast paced. Everything I love about a thriller.
After a string of unfortunate dates through a dating app, Sonya is sick of matching with men who are secretly married with children. So she decides to confront one of them, matt, but after falling to his death off a cliff Sonya flees the scene.
POV 2: Jake is a journalist trying to get a big scoop to try and get his old job back. His assignment is to find out what’s going on in dating apps and write a story about it, but to figure it out he needs to start dating on the apps.
Sonya and Jake cross paths and Jake starts to think that there is a serial killer targeting people on dating apps. Together Sonya and Jake will have to work together to try and get to the bottom of everything that’s going on. But what will is cost them? Will they both come out alive?
I adored this book! It was captivating, I didn’t want to put it down, it held my attention the whole time and I couldn’t wait to get to the end and find out what was going on. I felt the story was wrapped up perfectly. 4.5 ✨ thank you so much for approving me for the arc! I had the best time reading this

I had the pleasure of reading an advance reader copy (ARC) of Swipe, which is set to be released on May 1st, 2025 and wow, what a ride!

This fast-paced thriller had me hooked from the very beginning. The writing is incredibly smart, with a plot full of twists and turns that kept me guessing the entire time. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story took a sharp left turn with an ending I did not see coming.

The characters were well developed and believable, each one layered in a way that made them feel real. Fans of Freida McFadden will absolutely devour this book. It has that same addictive, page-turning energy.

I can easily picture Swipe being made into a movie. It has the suspense, the pacing, and the psychological depth to translate beautifully on screen.

A solid 4-star read that I’d recommend to any thriller lover!

This was a fast paced, edge of your seat, keep you guessing thriller! I loved how it took something like internet dating on an app and made it terrifying! Makes you think about what you do in your day to day life that can be traced. I did guess the "who" about 62% into the book but the rest had my jaw on the floor at the end so definitely don't let that deter you. I absolutely loved this book and so happy I was able to read this one before release date!

I have really got into my thriller reads recently, so the moment I read the description for this book I just knew I had to read it!.

Swipe is a fantastic, modern day thriller that focuses on the growing use of dating apps, and honestly, this book had me captivated right from the very start. Told via a dual narration, you really get a deep dive into this story and see it unfold from various angles... and my goodness did it keep me guessing!.

I really enjoyed this one, and I will definitely be recommending it to my fellow thriller lovers!

*Thank you to NetGalley and the Publishers for providing me with an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

I picked up this book because I love a good revenge story—especially one where a woman is dishing it out to cheating married men. And honestly, the premise is great! Sonya is fed up with dating app creeps, and after one particularly gross encounter, things go way too far. Suddenly, a guy ends up dead, and she’s caught in a spiral she never intended.

Then there’s Jake, a down-on-his-luck journalist trying to turn a fluff piece into something big. His storyline was actually pretty fun—going on bizarre app dates and slowly realizing there might be something more sinister happening. I liked the tension between him and Sonya, especially once they start crossing paths.

But while the idea was strong and the pacing kept things moving, I felt like the character development was a little weak. Sonya’s motivations for going full vigilante felt vague—there’s a mention of her childhood, but not enough to really understand her actions. I wanted to connect with her more, or at least get a clearer sense of why she was doing what she was doing.

That said, it’s a fast read, and even though I figured out the twist early, I still enjoyed seeing it unfold. If you're into twisty dating app thrillers with a side of revenge, it’s worth a shot—just don’t expect super deep characters.

A thrilling read that explores the dangers of online dating….. how many times have we heard the stories of people posing as single/available but are in fact married with children. But what if those same people end up dead and one woman is seemingly connected to them? Jake, a journalist, poses on an online website looking for love but really looking for a killer. An intriguing look into the dark side of online dating. Worth a read!!! Thanks to the publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Swipe had me at page one! I finished this is less than a day! Each chapter had me continuing on to the next. It held me in suspense for most of the book. I did eventually figure it out, but it was obvious at that point. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to sit on the edge of their seat.

This book had me absolutely gripped from the beginning, I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the way that the two narrators had seemingly no connection at the very start and then the dots slowly formed. It was also an easy read; not too complicated, but the twist wasn't obvious from the get-go. I also enjoyed following along with Jake's investigation to the very end.

I would rate this for fans of Freida McFadden; those who like an easy and quick read with gripping narration, and relatable characters.

Swipe by R.G. Belsky and Bonnie Traymore

This book was awesome! What hooked me right off the bat was that Bonnie had co-written this book, then I read the description and thought how cool. I requested through NetGalley and was approved.
The story is told by two main characters and relates to their experiences for various reasons with a specific dating app. It's really well written and thought out. Characters are really well introduced and described.  I liked how this story was based on dating apps, made it different from other stories. I liked the build up to who dunnit and the twists at the end. Not one dull moment reading this novel, couldn't put it down
I'm hoping more stories will be written by these two authors. I do have books by Bonnie Traymore on my TBR.
Thanks NetGalley for the ARC and to the authors and the publisher BooksGoSocial.

I found this book to be an easy, entertaining read, but it didn’t blow me away. The suspense was there, but a lot of the twists were easy to guess. Some parts of the story felt a bit slow, and I was hoping for more excitement throughout. The characters were interesting, but I didn’t fully connect with them, and some of their actions didn’t make sense to me. The ending was okay, though it didn’t have the big impact I was expecting. Overall, a 3-star

Swipe is a psychological thriller that perfectly captures the dangers and unknowns of online dating, and how easy it is to fall victim to something as simple as a swipe. Both Belsky and Traymore are new to me; the writing was fantastic and I will be back for more!

A story of secrets, lies, and obsession, Swipe is fast paced and highly engaging, with building suspense every turn of the page. The story is told from an alternating POV; Sonya, who is on a mission to teach these diabolical men she’s been meeting on the apps a lesson, and Jake, a journalist who goes undercover to produce a click bait story about dating apps and has his own agenda to get his career back on track.

I really liked Sonya and her sister, Bella; they were relatable and nothing they said or did struck me as overreaching to fit the plot.

I wasn’t quite sure who to trust through the first two thirds of the book, but found some twists predictable; the end did not shock me as it should have. But I would definitely recommend this book if you are new to the genre and/or if you like to play detective and figure out how everything falls into place before the characters do.

3.75/5 (rounded up)!!!!

I liked this.

I do think the overall idea of the books was awesome. I would have liked to see more in depth dates in the story but still overall a good read.

Anything with online dating and murders is interesting because this is a real life issue. You never know who someone is based on their online presence.

This was an enjoyable and quick read. It kept me guessing thought out. And it well and truly nailed the trash that dating apps have become these days. Hits a little too close to home lol

Thanks Netgalley for this digital ARC!

5* for me! I personally really enjoyed this book! And can’t wait to recommend it.

Who knew the crazy world of online dating! A news reporter for a newspaper is to write a story about those online dating and finding their soul mate! But who knew two murders would appear and have more in connection than the police saw! And cared to admit! Are both deaths connected to the same killer? Both married men appearing as single men online, will the news reporter solve the crime before the police?

I gave this book 4/5 stars. This book was an easy read with nice twists turns. I was not expecting the main plot twist. I finished this book quickly once I started and enjoyed the story!

Absolutely amazing concept. I loved it. I haven’t read anything quite like it which is a nice change of pace. What I will say was it was pretty predictable as I figured out the main twist fairly early on.
