This book is about Zarqa Nawaz, the author, a muslim woman from Canada. It’s about her life and the, sometimes humourous, struggles she faces as a muslim woman living in a predominantly non-muslim country. For me, I found the book interesting, some of the anecdotes were amusing, some not. I would have preferred it to have shown a serious side to some of the stories rather than them all trying to be funny, but I suppose that’s the whole point of the book! It was an okay read, and it could appeal to both muslims and non muslim readers. Would recommend it if you fancied a light hearted view on the muslim community!

Three stars!
