I read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts and opinions are mine

This is a new author to me
I must admit I chose this title as I was going to Florence in April. A wonderful accompaniment to my trip

Absolutely loved it

oh this book had me from page on. or from the title. or from the author. or from the blurb. basically all things this book had me. it was just lovely.
i felt like i was in every place the two girls explored. i felt like i was seeing what they did and smelling and eating what they did. or was it just i wanted to! the scenes are told with such details that you cant not imagine everything you are told in such stark colors. Catherine has done the best job in transporting you both to the destination and the story.
Kate is a American based writer. she has ambition and a stubborn resolve to keep working hard at her job to be a success. but like most things she has to prove herself and this isnt coming easy at all. especially when he boss doesnt want to give her an inch. but luck seems to come her way when he boss cant go to write up one of their locations. the job is offered to kate and maaaaan does she jump at the chance. her boyfriend( nope not a fan) cant go so her best friend joins her on the trip.
these two dont hold back in their immediate love for the island and resolve to together experience all they can. and the island sure does want to help them do this. this article kate feels is going to be written with ease. she sticks to her schedule but after that her and Farrah try fit everything and all this island has to offer them.
but all comes to a forced stop when Farrah is injured. not just injured but forced to stay on the island injured. and Kate of course is going to stay with her. but this doesnt sit well with both somewhere for them to stay and her boss back home. she is desperate and doesnt know what to do for the best.
all is not lost. and certain things come to Kates aid. not least the mysterious local chef. and what comes next leads Kate to view everything she ever though through newly Italian sunglasses. and perhaps help prize the current blurred ones off. does she want this new found life. or is it just a holiday shes got too hold up in.
this book was beautiful both in the story and the location. and if anyone wants to pay for me to go their and to all the places mentioned in the book then please, please feel free.
another stellar book by our stellar author.
