As always I raced through Nicole’s book, fast paced and the storyline turns in a way you don’t expect a sold four stars from me

Amanda is an abused wife to a wealthy man.
She leaves him while he is on a business trip, with her two children, and moves to a cul-de-sac where everyone knows the business of their neighbours.
Jordan, her 11 year old son is an angry, mean, disrespectful foul mouthed child, who has obviously learned that behaviour from his father.
Wow, a fast paced domestic thriller that keeps you turning the pages far into the night!
I quite literally could not put this book down, I had to know what happened next.
The twists don't end until the last page.
"There are no happy endings here, just endings."

I love Nicole Trope books, and this one didn't disappoint -what a wild ride!
Amanda moves to West St with her children Jordan and Kiera. She'd previously received a text message that is implied to have let her know about her husband Mike's infidelity. Amanda leaves her luxurious life behind for a rental property that needs a lot of work, but at least she and the children are safe now. Amanda is a survivor of domestic violence, but she never reported it. When Mike discovers she's run away, he sends her threatening messages. She feels hopeless and that nobody will believe her.
Caroline lives on West St. She knows everyone and everything about them. Lots of names are thrown in here.... Mary, Cora, Gemma, Janine... and then of course, her new neighbour Amanda who to her looks "expensive" and well put-together but doesn't have a husband with her. Caroline makes the same assumption we're all making and determines the house is now home to a broken family.
Jordan, Amanda's son, is incredibly unhappy with his new life. He tries to contact Mike on the day of the move, but he's on business travel in China. He prefer his father to Amanda, and plans to run away from his new house. His behaviour gets worse and he becomes verbally and psychologically abusive towards Amanda. Jordan finally gets his dad to answer and they exchange messages, thus Jordan inadvertently gives away Amanda's location to Mike.
As the book progresses, we learn why Amanda ran away from Mike and how they met. More names are thrown in here Paula, Annette, Patricia, Luna, Liam, Rod... Amanda and Mike met when he was married, and Amanda feels his abuse is the price she had to pay for taking another woman's husband. Mike's ex-wife, Annette, wrote her a message warning her before their wedding, but of course Amanda thought she was bitter. Now Amanda wants to talk to Annette.
I had a lot of fun trying to connect the different POVs and names. I'd say there are two twists in this story -one more shocking than the other! I kind of figured out the first one, probably because I've read a lot of books in the genre. However, the second and final twist totally caught me by surprise!
I binge read this book, it's an absolute page turner!

Realistic characters kept this story moving quickly. Red herrings…secrets…dysfunctional family dynamics…suspense…fright…neighbors who seem somewhat strange…a page turner…thanks Netgalley.
