The Eden Evacuation is my first foray into a mystery thriller combined with literary fiction and it won't be my last.
In the story, it vividly focuses on art as a whole within the Vatican and beyond through the perspective of a young woman called Gina and her historian boyfriend -Adam- showcasing events from both of their perspectives leaving the reader to wonder- what is real and what is a fictitious dream?.
In my opinion, the plot of the book was highly engaging throughout the story with the research into art as well as religion being described well throughout the story along with the lengths people would go to in order to get to the truth within their situation and the various settings were well portrayed along with the character development as a whole- this was a thought provoking read and ended on an interesting cliffhanger- being read in one sitting.

I’m terribly sorry but I couldn’t get into this book. The writing style was like a high-school student’s, and I can only imagine this is an error in translation. It’s a great shame as the story idea was intriguing but sadly the writing style put me off early. I never usually give up on a book.
