I really liked the build up of this story. As a mom with a son, I totally understand the motivations in this book and would do the exact same thing to get my son back.

I fell in love with Natalia and although Jake Wilder took a little longer. It wasn't long because he was so kind, and a gentleman when he was with Natalia. And even before he met her and had only conversed with her in labored letters. He knew almost no Russian and Natalia just knew a little. Over time, their romance grew.
I was pulling for them quickly and got involved in their story strongly and also in the fate of Natalia's little boy Alexandr and her mother. I wanted all of them to win and be together so badly. But of course, for every high there was a devastating, believable low. This story was intense, drawing more people into the fight for Jake to get his family back, safe and sound. Along the way many injustices are righted and the right of the evil people and their systems rounded up or destroyed. With more to come.
Many people counseled Jake to give up because it was too dangerous. But he refused, this the is family he always wanted. No matter what risk he had to take. Jake already saw Alexandr as his son. !
There's a happy ending, but you'll never guess how they get there. A thriller to the happy end.
I want more by this author. I'm now following him on Amazon. My title for this book is review is :
Love Conquers Russia

At the heart of this thriller is the concept of power and it was interesting to see how the protagonist found herself in a position where she had little power and what she did within that context. I liked the author’s writing style and felt the pace of the plot flow really kept me engaged, even as I struggled at times to keep track of the various characters and their machinations. A really enjoyable, fast paced thriller which also touches on some troubling truths about power and relationships.

I really enjoyed this book. A quick book with lots of twist that make you want to read more and hooks you in.

You must acknowledge when a book is good, not spectacular, just good. This is a feel good story about love, threats, conspiracies and the lengths a man is willing to go for his family. Yes, there are a lot of cliches and some plot points that make no sense, but in the end there are cute characters, a gripping sequence of action scenes and a very happy ending. What more could you want?

Doc Richter’s Russian Bride is a relentless, high-energy thriller that plunges readers into a world of action, deception, and larger-than-life characters. From the first page to the last, the novel maintains a breakneck pace, weaving a narrative packed with twists and intense confrontations.
The standout feature of Russian Bride is undoubtedly its action-packed storytelling. Richter crafts dynamic, unpredictable sequences that keep the reader engaged, while the cast of eccentric and often volatile characters adds depth and unpredictability to the plot. Their interactions are as thrilling as the high-stakes situations they find themselves in, making for an adrenaline-fueled reading experience.
However, while the novel excels in sheer entertainment value, it could benefit from a bit more depth to allow for a stronger emotional connection to the story. The fast-moving plot leaves little room for character development or deeper narrative layers, which may leave some readers wanting more substance beyond the excitement.
That said, for fans of action-heavy thrillers who enjoy a non-stop ride filled with bold characters and intense situations, Russian Bride delivers. Richter’s storytelling style is undeniably engaging, and while it might not offer deep emotional resonance, it succeeds in providing an exhilarating escape.
