Detective Darcy is called in to investigate the murder and the suspect is not only the victim’s wife, Charlotte, but also who Darcy recognizes as her husband Bradley’s mistress. When Charlotte points the finger at her husband, despite his lies and secrets, she feels the need to solve the murder and find out who the killer is.
If you love authors like Freida McFadden and Jeneva Rose, you will eat this up! This book had me hooked from beginning to end! It will take you on a crazy ride with the twists and turns throughout and leave your jaw on the floor with the last bombshell! I absolutely ate this up and cannot wait to buy the physical book when released March 28th!

This mystery, told from the perspectives of Darcy and Charlotte, Bradley’s mistress, kept me engaged from beginning to end. The dual POV added depth, and the audiobook narration was excellent. The plot was full of surprises, making me question the characters’ motives and anticipate twists. Betrayals and unexpected turns kept the suspense high, leading to a final twist that was both shocking and satisfying. Overall, it was a captivating and well-executed story.
Thank you NetGalley & Bookouture Audio for the ARC!

Willow Rose delivers a tense and emotional thriller in My Husband’s Mistress. When a man is found murdered, Detective Darcey White is pulled into the investigation—only to realize the woman at the center of the case is the same one her husband once had an affair with. The line between personal and professional quickly blurs as Darcey is forced to confront her past while hunting down a killer.
This story had me hooked from the very beginning. The twists were clever, the pacing was tight, and the emotional layers added real depth to the mystery. The audiobook narrator did a great job keeping the suspense alive and capturing Darcey’s internal conflict.
Big thanks to NetGalley for the chance to listen to this gripping audiobook!

My Husband’s Mistress by Willow Rose Narrated by Lauryn Allman and Barbara Barnes. This was a fast paced psychological thriller, I never knew where the next turn was going to take me. Darcy, a detective, who just happens to show up to a crime scene for a case she is set to work, only to see that it involves her husband’s mistress. The fact that Darcys husband and his mistress didn’t know that Darcy knew about their affair or that she was working this case. Darcy has an ethical dilemma of what to do and really added more challenge to the book to leave you wanting more.
This was a very quick read. I enjoyed the dual POV of Darcy and
Charlotte(Bradley’s Mistress) who happens to be Darcys husband. The final twist of this book had my jaw on the floor. I couldn’t believe it, and if this is how all of Willow Rose’s books are I will be adding more to my TBR pile!
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ALC audiobook. This review is voluntary and all my own words.

Once again I find myself wishing Goodreads allowed half stars. I enjoy Willow Rose and her writing. The only thing that held me back from a 4 star rating with this book was the seemingly never ending last hour and a half of the audiobook. I really only needed the last 2.5 chapters of all that as by that point I had figured out what was happening.
Otherwise I enjoyed the audiobook. Charlotte’s voice was grating but that seemed to be done specifically for her character.
A solid 3.5/5 stars for me.
I received a ALC of this title. All opinions are my own.

I was very excited to receive this book as I love both the Eva Rae Thomas and the Billie Ann Wilde series. This story is told from two different points of view. As an audiobook, the narrator kept my attention and made it easy to differentiate between the two main characters. The story was fast paced, I liked the main characters, and even though I predicted the twist, I really enjoyed it.

Detective Darcey White's husband is cheating on her. The woman he is seeing husband has been murdered. Darcey is investigating this murder. Full of lies and twists in this good thriller. Good characters and well plotted, a bit predictable but a very good read. The two narrators do a exceptional job narrating this book. Thanks to Bookoutre audio and Netgalley for this review ARC.

I am currently reading and loving the Detective Billie Ann Wilde by this author, so I was excited to read this new thriller by her. Let me tell you...it did not disappoint! This was just the read that I needed. Based on the title alone, I thought I would know how this story would end. Boy was I wrong! Going into this book blind was the best thing I could've done.
Detective Darcy White is called to a murder scene and the victim's wife is the easy suspect. Darcy recognizes the woman immediately as her husband's mistress. Is the wife the murderer? Or is something deeper going on?
This story had some twists and turns that left my mouth open. The plot packs everything you want in a domestic thriller - deception, secrets, lies, and despicable characters. The twists were good and unexpected. I was left guessing right up to the very last page. I definitely recommend this one!

I was hooked from the prologue of this audiobook!
This audiobook truly left me questioning what I thought I knew through the whole thing.
This addicting story starts with a murder and takes you through the twists and turns of lead detective, Darcy’s, work. The first twist is she has a bit of skin in the game, the wife of the victim is her husband, Bradley’s, mistress named Charlotte.
As lead detective Darcy tries to keep her identity as Bradley’s wife a secret from his mistress, Charlotte begins to get suspicious as to why Darcy seems to be so invested in the case, questioning if she can trust her intentions
As an audiobook listener this one was a bit rough to follow at times with who was talking but it did not take away from the story. There were also a few points where the audiobook cut out or skipped.

This was a quick read and easy to follow thriller. The narrator did a decent job with the characters especially since some of the writing, especially internal dialogue, was stilted. Detective Darcy White is called to the murder of a man found with his wife standing above him with blood on her hands. Darcy knows she should pass this case off to someone else because that wife is the woman sleeping with her husband. While I didn’t find this one particularly twisty I did enjoy it. The chapters alternated between Darcy and the mistress, Charlotte, and I liked that we got both perspectives. I’d give another one by this author a try, this would make good beach reads as they are quick to digest. Overall I gave this one 3.5 stars which I rounded up because I enjoyed it enough to binge it.

I listened to this as an audiobook. It kept my attention and was an easy listen. This is a fast paced thriller. It was told from the dual point of view of Darcy White and Charlotte Kane. Darcy White is a detective assigned to a case that completely changes her life and the way she knows it. Overall, I enjoyed the book. The narrators did a good job, and the voice of Charlotte Kane was perfect. It reminded me of Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls. The plot was somewhat predictable. If one is unfamiliar with the thriller genre, it is unlikely that they would have anticipated the twist. Conversely, avid readers of the genre would likely have deduced it with ease. Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this audiobook ARC! 🎧

I was thoroughly captivated by this novel. The dual perspectives of Darcey and Charlotte provide a multifaceted view of the events, keeping readers on their toes as they try to piece together the truth. Willow Rose masterfully crafts a tale filled with suspense, emotional depth, and unexpected twists. The ethical dilemmas faced by Darcey add a layer of complexity to the narrative, making it not just a thriller but also a profound exploration of human emotions and relationships. Fans of authors like Gillian Flynn and Paula Hawkins, known for their intricate psychological thrillers, will find Willow Rose's writing equally compelling.
The audiobook is brought to life by narrators Lauryn Allman and Barbara Barnes. Their performances add depth to the characters, with distinct voices that capture the emotional nuances of both Darcey and Charlotte. Listeners have praised their ability to convey tension and vulnerability, enhancing the overall experience of the story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for my ALC. This review is my honest opinion.

I think overall I did enjoy this book.
I felt that the story just dragged out a bit too long and then the ending came suddenly without enough depth and clarity.
The two main characters are strong characters and the story they share was, on the whole an engaging situation.
Towards the end I felt there was a lot of repetition from the analysis of the situation and the feelings they were left to reflect on.
For me it was 3 stars, the audiobook was very well read and had an engaging flow

Although this book was a slow burn that could be a little drawn out at times, it had an interesting story and some fun twists and turns. I loved the ending and the narration.
Thanks NetGalley!

So I want to start out by saying I liked the story. It was a fun read that kept you guessing and the characters were pretty thought out. Why, then you ask, did I give it 2 stars? Well here’s the thing. The writing was just too verbose. So over the top that I almost stopped reading at multiple times. The imagery is there and I wanted to like the book so much, but I just couldn’t shake off the feeling that it was just too much. If overly verbose writing doesn’t bother you, then please read it, because like I said, it’s a good story. Just not for me.

Rating: 3.5 stars rounded up
Darcy White is a bad-a$$ detective who found out her husband, Bradley, is having an affair with the wealthy socialite Charlotte Kane. When confronted about the affair after seeing them out on a date, Bradley swears it is over. Darcy knows it's going to be a rough day at work when Charlotte Kane's husband is murdered and Charlotte is taken in for questioning. Darcy knows who Charlotte is, but Charlotte doesn't know who Detective White is. Charlotte believes Bradley is behind the murders, and Darcy believes her. The two work together to find a way to pin the murder on Bradley. But, who knows who actually killed her husband??
This was a captive, dual-POV thrilling mystery that was a good listen. I enjoyed the narrator's voice and the slight intonation changes between the two female main characters. It helped to distinguish the two of them apart. In terms of the story itself, it seemed to drag on in the middle portion, but I appreciated the twist at the end and the way everything tied up together.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC audiobook!

My Husband's Mistress
by Willow Rose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this quick paced domestic thriller. It was told in multiple POV being the detective Darcy and her husbands Mistress, Charlotte. Charlottes husband is dead and she claims Bradly, Darcy’s husband is guilty. This creates a conflict of interest but charlotte has no idea who Darcy truly is.
I found the plot twist to be unexpected and ending was great!

I dont want to be hateful and write a really indepth review because I do understand how hard writers work on what they create but let's just day in the nicest way I really didn't like it. The writing was overdone and when authors use to many descriptions to make there story or there work sound better it usually has the opposite affect. I didn't connect with the characters and felt so much of this lacked any sense of believability and because the characters where written so woddenly I didn't connect so I also didn't care much about the stakes and what they ended up being. This just simply wasn't for me.
