Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is the newest installment in the Hollyhock Farm series by Georgina Troy.
This tale revolves around Joe and Skye. Joe is seeking a place to stay away from his mother, while Skye has come to the island during her travels. They both agree to care for the farm while Lettie goes to the hospital to give birth. Can they collaborate effectively, or will they end up driving each other crazy?
Georgina has crafted relatable characters who are essential to the narrative, and the setting is simply breathtaking – these books have made me yearn to visit the Channel Islands.
I eagerly anticipate the next book in the series. Note: While this book can be enjoyed on its own, skipping the earlier installments means you might miss out on some wonderful stories!

After an amazing year looking after Hollyhock Farm, on the beautiful island of Jersey, pregnant Lettie needs to step back from farming. The problem is, with her family overseas, there’s no one to take over.
But then help comes from two places at once. Handsome fire-fighter Joe needs to escape his small home since his mother and her new husband came to stay; he offers to help run the farm in exchange for board in one of the spare rooms. Then, adventurous newcomer Skye takes the other room, excited to try her hand at farming in such an amazing place.
But managing the farm together may be more than either of them bargained for, especially as each of them drives the other crazy, in more ways than one. Will the tension get too much for Joe and Skye, or could love bloom with the Jersey flowers this spring?
My Opinion
Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm was such a lovely read and it was so nice to be back with some familiar characters. Joe and Skye don’t get off to a great start, but they really need to work together to help out Lettie and Brodie. Georgina Troy has packed a lot into this book. A great addition to the series.
Rating 4/5

Skye Sellers, 25, is visiting the Island of Jersey hoping to find her birth father. Her mother recently passed away. The woman had a job on Jersey and became pregnant while there. She never said who Skye’s father was but she did leave a diary behind.
Joe Marett, 30, is a fireman on the Island and lives in a house left to him by his grandfather. Unfortunately, his mother has come to town with yet another husband in tow and expects to take over Joe’s home.
Brodie is the local vet and his fiancee, Lettie is 7 months pregnant. She runs Hollyhock Farm. However, as her parents are on vacation again, Lettie finds she needs help on the farm as she is having complications with her pregnancy. Joe decides to take some vacation time off from his job to help Lettie and to get away from his mother. Skye learns from a friend that she can stay at Hollyhock Farm to help Lettie. The farm is well-known for its colorful hollyhocks and flavorful potatoes.
So, Joe and Skye settle into Hollyhock Farm and learn how to take care of the animals and the different plants. But there is also time to learn about the island. In addition, after some research, it turns out that Skye’s father still lives on the island. He is thrilled to meet her and she finds she has three stepbrothers.
Joe and Skye spend comfortable evenings together and soon spark an attraction to one another. When Lettie and Brodie return to the farm, Joe and Skye realize they need to leave, but where will they go?
This is a cute book that once again shows readers the beauty of Jersey Island and the friendship-to-love that blooms between two people. I look forward to more books about this area by the author.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is such a great return to a wonderful series, you don’t need to have read the previous books to enjoy this, but I highly recommend them because you’d be missing out on some great reads.
These books are perfect spring/summer month reads, to have a nice cool drink on a warm day and relax to joyful places. I am so happy there will be another book in this series as I always enjoy returning to Hollyhock Farm, or any of the books Georgina Troy writes.

It's another good story in this heartwarming series set in Jersey. This one features Joe, the firefighter and Skye, looking for family. It's an emotional and uplifting tale with gentle romance and humour. It explores the enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity tropes in an engaging way. I like the characters, the emotion and the lovely Jersey setting.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

I loved this next in the series and couldn't wait to start it. A wonderful story with all the usual characters and animals. Such an uplifting story which made me happy. Looking forward to more in the future. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Thank you netgalley & publishers for allowing me to read a copy of this book in exchange of my review. This was a really an enjoyable, feel good delightful read. After a slight miscommunication between Lettie and her partner as to who is going to step in to help look after the farm due to Lettie being heavily pregnant & needed to take time out, two people, who very much need a place to stay are left wondering which of them will get to stay at the farm. A thoroughly enjoyable page turner.

I enjoyed reading Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm by Georgina Troy. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!

It was so good to be back at the charming Hollyhock Farm with new characters and all the familiar ones too.
Joe and Skye first meet under slightly strained circumstances. The reader is introduced to handsome Joe in a previous Hollyhock Farm book, and after discussion with Brodie, agrees to help out at the farm. The new character, Skye, an adventurous traveller, is introduced as a friend of Melody's whom we meet in the second book. When Melody hears Lettie is looking for someone to help out at the farm she contacts Skye, knowing she is visiting the island. When Joe and Skye meet again at Hollyhock Farm to help out neither of them is particularly happy to find the other one there. However, they decide to work together in order to give a pregnant Lettie the rest she needs.
I enjoyed Skye’s backstory of looking for the father she has never met and trying to piece together a part of her mother’s life that she kept from Skye. I also liked the slightly vulnerable side to Joe as he tries to work through the grief of losing his grandfather and the shock of his mother and her new husband turning up uninvited at his bungalow. This side contrasted nicely with his tough job of a firefighter.
Joe and Skye’s romance “blooms” at a beautiful pace alongside the parallel subplots making this not just a delightful romance but a story about community, friends, and working together. The chemistry between Joe and Skye sizzled throughout the book.
The inclusion of a different type of rescue other than a fire for Joe was a great idea (the author inspired by a real-life event).
Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is a perfect spring/summer read for those warm days spent in the garden or by a pool.
I am so pleased there is going to be a book four in this series, I always love returning to Hollyhock Farm and catching up with its residents.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm
by Georgina Troy
This is the second book I’ve read recently set on the stunning island of Jersey in the UK, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Skye arrives on the island with the purpose of finding her father and quickly gets involved in helping out at Hollyhock Farm. Pregnant Lettie needs to take a step back from farming, and since her parents are away, both she and her husband, Brodie, are seeking assistance.
Brodie turns to local firefighter Joe, who is navigating his own challenges with his mother moving in alongside her latest boyfriend. Joe recognises the need for some distance and is always ready to support a friend. However, he soon learns that the responsibility of helping out at Hollyhock Farm will not fall squarely on his own shoulders.
This book beautifully explores themes of friendship and self-discovery, leaving me eager to visit this breathtaking destination in person.

What a joyous story. Full of interesting characters, beautiful descriptions of Jersey and a decent plot line. I couldn't put it down. Ready to read the next one.

What a lovely story.
Couldn't put this book down. It takes you to lovely areas with good strong characters.
Looking forward to more stories in this series.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm is the latest instalment in the brilliant series from Georgina Troy and I’ve loved being back on the farm with some old favourite characters and some new.
Georgina writes such beautiful characters and as before Hollyhock Farm is such a welcoming place plus the descriptions of the area and the island of Jersey sound amazing. It’s an easy one to get lost in for sure and I was totally absorbed in seeing Skye and Joe together on the farm.
Seeing Skye and Joe build a friendship was lovely and the fact they both needed that time away proved the farm and animals were just what they both needed.

Set on the beautiful island of Jersey this is a story of unexpected love, countryside life and a feel good book. I loved the unique setting of the farm which was fun to read about especially since I grew up on a farm. I didn’t realise that this book is part of a series, maybe would have enjoyed it more had I read her other books. A simple, easy read with romance and set on a beautiful island ~ what more could you want in a book.
Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book, all opinions expressed are my own.

Such a sweet little tale about the happenings at Hollyhock Farm. I could very much see this being made into a Hallmark/Lifetime movie. So precious, easy read! Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Love Blooms at Hollyhock farm is the third book in the Hollyhock Farm series which is set on the beautiful Jersey. Although I hadn't read the first two in the series I still enjoyed this one as it can be read as a standalone. I do feel that I would have benefitted from reading the first two books however, as I'd have liked to have known more about Lettie and Brodie and some of the other characters mentioned. I have downloaded book one though so I'm looking forward to reading it soon.
Skye and Joe don't have a typical meet cute moment so when they're thrown together at Lettie's farm neither of them are happy about it. Since both of them have good reasons to stay on the farm they must work together harmoniously and neither of them want to let down Lettie in her time of need.
A lack of communication between Lettie and Brodie means that the two of them arrive at the farm to take care of the animals, and they're both concerned that they will no longer be needed. This is especially a problem for Skye as she's not just visiting the island for a holiday and she'd be forced to go home otherwise.
The Romance between Joe and Skye was just one part of this story as Skye uncovers life changing secrets. Joe is a great support throughout all of this and I feel it definitely helped to bring them closer and form a strong bond. They may not have known each other for very long but the bond between them is undeniable.
The setting of this story is beautiful and actually made me want to visit Jersey myself. I looked up a few of the places mentioned and could see that they were beautifully described; hopefully I can take a little holiday there in the not too distant future. This was a lovely relaxing read with a few surprises and a lot of lush scenery. I'm looking forward to reading more from Georgina Troy.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
It was lovely to be back at Hollyhock Farm.
Lettie is pregnant and needs to rest, but not at the farm. She as well as Brodie ask friends for help, but then they both ask two different people, and both turn up to the farm at the same time.
They are Joe and Skye, who don’t know the other person that well, but are prepared to work together to help their friends.
There’s also Joe story about his family and Sky’s story of her family interweaved in the book. .
I loved the descriptions of the different places that Joe and Sky’s visit which makes you feel as though you’re there with the characters.
I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed being back on Hollyhock Farm, Lettie is pregnant and has to stop working on the farm, but she asks her friend Skye to come. Joe has asked his friend Brodie too so when they both turn up, will it work out? It’s a lovely happy, feel good read that you will read in one sitting. I loved the characters and they were enjoyable to read about. The setting was superb and the plot was engaging. Loved it. A fabulous 5 star read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

In this the third book in the series Lettie is forced to take things easy due to complications in her pregnancy, so she moves in with Brodie in his small cottage. He arranges with a friend, Joe, to move in to look after the farm, meanwhile Lettie has also arranged for a friend of a friend, Skye, to also look after the farm as well. Unfortunately the two had already met and they hadn't made the best impression of each other. Joe is a local fireman missing his grandfather, who had passed away, Skye is trying to track down her father, of whom she only knows that he had met her mother on the island, who hadn't given her any more information before she sadly died apart from a notebook.
Again you needn't have read the previous two books in the series, but you would miss some of the back stories. In addition to the will they / won't they romance there is also the search for Skye's father with very minimal information. There is also the wonderful setting in Jersey, supporting friends and the farm as the background to the story. Well worth reading if you enjoy such romance, as I do.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

In the third installment of the Hollyhock Farm series, Love Blooms at Hollyhock Farm, Georgina Troy returns readers to the picturesque island of Jersey for another heartwarming tale of love and self-discovery. This time, the story centers on firefighter Joe and newcomer Skye, who find themselves co-managing the charming Hollyhock Farm. Joe seeks refuge from his crowded home life, while Skye arrives with personal quests of her own. Their initial clashes gradually give way to mutual understanding and affection, set against the farm’s idyllic backdrop. The evolving relationship between Joe and Skye is portrayed with authenticity, capturing the nuances of two individuals navigating unforeseen circumstances. While the plot follows a familiar romantic trajectory, the engaging characters and serene setting provide a comforting and enjoyable reading experience. This is a delightful addition to the series, offering a gentle exploration of new beginnings and the unexpected paths to finding one’s place and partner.
