Just wanted to say thanks to the publisher for a e-book copy of Visions of Flesh and Blood. I do greatly appreciate it.

This was my first time reading through the book. Granted, I had taken a pause from reading the series/any books from this world, so I was prepared to be confused. BUT…..I found Visions of Flesh and Blood to be extremely helpful with recalling information and providing additional insight (no pun intended hehe) into the world. The portraits of characters were lovely and the content was great. The only downside is that it covers the world up to a certain book and not necessarily future information. That being said, I’m glad this exists and I hope there is a volume 2 in store for readers in the future (and hopefully with more bonus content).

This book was a lot of help getting more backstory on characters. Remembering this is a compendium and not an actual book book. It goes a little more into the characters from Willas perspective and has a few other short stories.

I received this book via Netgalley

This compendium was a lifesaver whenever the last flesh and fire book came out! The summaries got me back up to speed and it was a great tool to refer back to throughout my reading. I loved the character art sprinkled throughout and the bonus Miss Willa content (I'd love to get the whole diary some day). There are also playlists! Visions of Flesh and Blood isn't something you have to purchase or read as part of the series but its a great supplemental tool B&A and F&F!!

Visions of Flesh and Blood is a compendium/encyclopedia from the viewpoint of Miss Willa Collins, an old seer. It contains all the information and knowledge about the characters and worlds of both the From Blood and Ash (FBAA) and Flesh and Fire (F&F) series.

This could be read as a standalone, as it is just a collection of information but I would recommended reading the prior books first, as there are quite a lot of spoilers.

This honestly was just a good refresher of all the facts and characters. A good book to refer back too as well while reading or at the end of both the FBAA and F&F series.

There were a few new scenes and moments that we got in this compendium that I really enjoyed!

I will admit though, I did skim quite a bit as some information I already knew. I also felt like this compendium would have been better after both FBAA and F&F series were completed.

Overall, just a decent encyclopedia of the FBAA and F&F world but nothing groundbreaking.

Thank you to the publisher via NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Pretty short and sweet. Catches you up on the books and vocabulary that is used. I love the book series and this helps me remember everything before the new book releases on June 10th. I think it’s only like 50-65 pages and doesn’t take long to get through.

⭐️ thank you to NetGalley and Jennifer Armentrout for giving me and ARC to read and share my thoughts⭐️

So excited to fully delve into all this companion guide has to offer because there’s so much! I love that it’s written from Miss Willa’s perspective! As someone who has read many romantasy series, it can be hard to keep the fantasy worlds straight when switching from one series to another. So it’s nice to have this guide to refer back to when picking the FBAA and FAF series again.

This book was a good summary of everything that has happened in the FBAA and F&F books. It gives you a nice recap of everything that you need to know in case you do not want to reread the series before a new book comes out. This is a really handy thing as times between releases can take so long!

You get to see some Willa entries of the book wish is nice and a couple extra bouns scenes!

If you’re a fan of the series then its so worth the purchase for the extra scenes! And to add to your collection.
