It's been a while since I've read any of Kerry's books and I'm so glad I picked this one up. I really enjoyed it! Lots of mystery around the husband, loved the small village theme. Sarah did find herself in some sticky situations! I'd recommend this to anyone who fancies ignoring the housework for a day or so and indulging in a good mystery thriller!

I love how Kerry tells a story. The depth, dimension, and detail are brilliantly put together. I love being so pulled into the story that I don’t have time to try and guess the twist—because I am never right. The illusion is always so well played.

I enjoyed this story. The way things unfolded. The fast pace of the timeline, and the lack of filler. This happened so quickly and yet so slowly. The brilliance of Kerry’s storytelling.

The characters were all so well done. They were fleshed out so beautifully, yet still so mysterious that you keep reading trying to learn more. I loved the deception in the relationships and the complexity of truth.

The representation of a small village and the beauty and hardship that goes together was fantastic. I enjoyed how this house of cards crumpled, and the ambiguity between the lines. It’s always so fascinating when a novel challenges the reader's moral compass.

This was a fantastic read from start to finish. Things were set up so perfectly, and the twist was delivered so smoothly. Be careful who you trust, because you might be sleeping beside a stranger. Katy approved.

Another great page turner from Kerry Wilkinson. It grips from the first page and I couldn’t read quick enough to find out whodunnit. Flicking between past and present was crucial to the story. It had twists and turns and it all looked like it was pointing to the husband but would it be him ? I had to keep reading to find out. An excellent book, I highly recommend this book and author.

When James and Sarah move to his childhood hometown Sarah discovers a mystery around a young girl and her husband. Is what almost everyone believes true, was it a mistake to come to live here?
This story has some twists and turns that me kept reading, slowly everything got resolved. It kept me entertained till the last page.

Kerry Wilkinson has written another propulsive read with Your Husband's Fault! Sarah's move to her husband's childhood village was her dream. That is, until they start telling her that her husband is a murderer. Fast, furious and very twisty!

This was a solid psychological thriller with a compelling premise—small town secrets, a long-missing girl, and a husband who might not be who he says he is. The setup definitely pulled me in. I mean, what would you do if someone at your kid’s school casually asked if you knew what your husband did?

The tension is there, and I appreciated how the past slowly unraveled through Sarah’s point of view. That said, the twists didn’t land as hard for me as I hoped, and some of the character motivations felt a bit surface-level. I found myself wanting more depth, especially with James and his backstory.

It’s a quick, engaging read, but I wouldn’t call it unforgettable. If you enjoy domestic thrillers in the vein of Shari Lapena or Lisa Jewell, it’ll probably scratch the itch—but for me, it didn’t quite hit the highs I was hoping for.

Still, a decent pick for a weekend binge if you’re in the mood for secrets, suspicion, and a touch of small-town drama.

Although many of his books centre around the idea of a missing person, Kerry Wilkinson seems to have a limitless amount of creativity around on this theme.

We meet Sarah who has moved with her husband James and their child to the village where James grew up. The move came about at Sarah's insistence, since James has never seemed to want to return there. And Sarah is about to find out why.

Because it seems that many of the villagers hold James responsible for a young girl's disappearance years ago. Sarah cannot believe that her husband would be involved in something so unpleasant. But the truth is even worse than she thinks...

A cleverly conceived and well delivered story that is an easy read, this one is not to be missed.

To say I wanted more would be an understatement. This was a delicious page turner right from the start. Everytime I had to put it down, it was all I could think about. I did end up finishing way past my bedtime, just so I would be able to sleep. If you love a quick, immersive thriller, than this is definitely for you!

Sarah, the leading lady in this tale, is a total boss. She's relatable, likable, and has a backbone of steel. I found myself eagerly flipping through the pages, trying to unravel the mystery that kept me guessing at every turn. Trust me, your curiosity will be piqued in all sorts of directions but fear not - everything will fall into place perfectly. I even suspected a touch of the paranormal, but boy, was I off the mark. Keep reading, and all will be revealed.

With plenty of twists and turns, we bounce back and forth between past and present. Understanding the backstory is crucial for the story to flow seamlessly. By the end, everything clicked into place, but I couldn't tear myself away for a second. The ending? A total mind-bender that left me reeling. I live for those kinds of surprises!

If you're into fast-paced reads packed with suspense, buried secrets, and a past that just won't stay buried, this one's for you. I'm practically bursting with excitement for you to dive into this gem because trust me, it's a winner!

This book had me hooked from the very beginning—I honestly couldn’t put it down. The story follows Sarah, who moves with her husband James and their son Oliver to his childhood hometown, only to discover that the town hasn’t forgotten—or forgiven—a mysterious disappearance from decades ago. Right away, you feel Sarah’s unease as strangers start making chilling comments and strange things begin to happen.
I really connected with Sarah as a character. She’s torn between wanting to believe the man she married and the unsettling clues that keep piling up around her. Her love for her son and the way she tries to protect him, even while her own world is spinning out of control, made her even more relatable. I could really feel her confusion, fear, and determination to find out the truth—no matter how hard it might be.
James was written in such a way that I was constantly second-guessing him. One moment I was convinced he was innocent, the next I was certain he was hiding something huge. That tension kept me turning the pages. And the mystery surrounding Lucy’s disappearance? Just when I thought I had it figured out, another twist would knock me off track.
The book does a great job capturing the vibe of a small town—how everyone seems to know your business, and how that kind of environment can feel both isolating and claustrophobic, especially when you’re the outsider. It added an extra layer of tension to Sarah’s experience.
There were a few minor issues—some pacing could have been tighter in places and a few small continuity errors—but nothing that took away from the overall story. The ending completely blew me away. I thought I had it all figured out and was so wrong. It’s the kind of twist that sticks with you after you finish the last page.

I found myself switching off from everything around me because the story is so intense!!! This is a must read book. Huge 5 stars.

This book had an exciting and new plot. If you moved to your spouse's hometown, only to learn much of the town thinks they were guilty of murder, how would you react? Would your faith in him be strong enough to trust him over the town? Throughout the book you sympathize with Sarah, who wants to believe her husband, but struggles to as evidence continues to stack up against him.
Sarah wants to trust her husband, but also wants to know the truth. This leads her into an investigation of her own, hoping the answers she finds are the answers she wants.
Throughout the book you will find yourself empathizing with Sarah as she not only questions everything she knows about her husband, but is made to feel un-welcomed by a town she wanted to love.
I think anyone who has ever lived in a small town can relate to the uneasy feeling of everybody knowing everything going on in your life, despite what you wish would stay private. Something Sarah struggles to adjust to after their move. But as the town learns more about her she also learns more about it, and starts to connect the puzzle pieces of the town's fabric.
Mothers will also be able to connect to Sarah, and her struggle of feeling like her life crumbling around her, but trying to act as if everything is okay for the sake of her child. Sarah is written as an attentive mother who puts her son Oliver as the priority of every choice she makes. While she herself questions everything she knows, she never lets her unease spill over to her son making her a very likable character.
No book is perfect, and this story does have a few things that could be fixed. There are some small continuity errors, and a few parts I think could be paced differently to build suspense and shock. But I would not let that deter you from reading, as nearly every book has something that could be changed to improve it. Even as is, the book was a very interesting read with some complex characters and plenty of ups and downs leaving you questioning the innocence of James, Sarah's husband, just as much as she does.

I couldn’t put this book down—seriously. From the moment Sarah and James arrive in his small hometown, I felt like I was right there with them, slowly peeling back the layers of a town that hasn’t forgotten the past. The writing pulled me in immediately, and I found myself totally invested in Sarah’s perspective as she begins to question everything she thought she knew about her husband.

Sarah is such a well-drawn character. I really connected with her confusion, fear, and determination to get to the truth. Her journey felt so real—how she tried to balance protecting her son, understanding her husband, and not losing herself in the process. And James... wow. He’s written in such a way that you’re constantly torn—one moment you feel for him, the next you’re wondering what he’s hiding. That constant tension kept me flying through the pages.

The mystery of what happened to Lucy was chilling, and every time I thought I had it figured out, something new would surface. I loved how the story slowly unraveled—never rushed, always just enough to keep you guessing.

This was such an intense and addictive read. It got under my skin in the best way and kept me thinking about the characters even after I finished. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a story that’s both emotionally gripping and impossible to predict.

This was one book where I swore I knew what the ending was going to be like and it completely blew me away as I thought it was so obvious and yet I was so wrong. Such an enjoyable read and I could not put it down.
