A young bride wakes up on her wedding day but her husband to be is lying dead next to her stabbed to death and she has no idea what has happened.
This is a unique and intriguing read as two stories are being told and as they converge it gets really exciting.
It is an edgy read and filled with drama and the twists just keep on coming.
This is the most perfect holiday read and I recommend it to fans of this genre.

I am not sure about this book. I have to be honest and I knew the story the ending before i finished the book. But I would say that it is a very good book for first time reading psychological readers. Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion

This novel had me in a hold from the first page, I really enjoyed it and devoured it in less than 24 hours! Full of twists and turns and I really liked how the narratives were intertwined. Loved it!

I loved this story because it kept me on the edge of my seat not knowing what was going on and who was bad and who wasn’t. A young bride wakes up on her wedding day but her husband to be is lying dead next to her stabbed to death and she has the knife as she goes on the run she knows no one will believe it wasn’t her and her life will never been the same. We then meet Gilly who works on an anonymous helpline and a repeat caller seems to know her inner most secrets. What links these two and what are all the secrets about to be exposed. A great thriller!

I would definitely recommend this novel to fans of psychological fiction - A super twisty gripping thriller with plenty of action!
Two stories converge - one is about bride to be Maeve, who wakes up on the morning of her wedding....only to discover her fiancé has been brutally murdered in their bed and the murder weapon is in her possession - fearing she is being framed, Maeve runs away without leaving a trace.
In the second story, bored housewife Gilly, is a volunteer at a mental health helpline. Her life is thrown into disarray when a mysterious caller leaves her feeling shaken...
This is a great novel with plenty of twists - I really couldn't put it down!
Living in the Highlands I am impressed by the authors' attention to detail (I could absolutely picture Maeve's route from Lidl and passing Curry's!)
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this novel in exchange for an advance copy.

I read a lot of thrillers and this one sticks with me, days after finishing. First of all, it's the definition of a page-turner. I couldn't put it down as each chapter left me wanting more. Secondly, I loved the slow burn and stalker creepiness of Gilly's chapters compared to the intense on-the-run feel of Maeve's chapters. The whole thing leaves you with just enough room to breathe, but only just!
There are twists aplenty. I like to think I'm good at guessing how a thriller will go but The Bride's Secret surprised me at every turn. But I think it's the underlying emotional poignancy that Rosie Walker writes so well that makes this thriller stand out to me. Now I can't wait for her next one!

Wow. Just wow.
This book threw us straight into the drama which meant I was immediately interested in what was going to happen next. The book has short chapters and almost every single one throws the reader an unexpected twist. From about halfway through it was just one shock after another and I couldn’t get enough of it.

Sometimes you’ve experienced something traumatic in your past and want to leave it behind as quickly as possible. Of course, this doesn’t just happen overnight—it takes time to process everything. And what better way to help that process than by building a new future?
The story begins on the eve of Maeve’s wedding to her dream partner. Just one more night, and she’ll be the bride. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing, you’d think—but nothing could be further from the truth…
What should have been a day spent on cloud nine becomes one with thunderclouds looming over her head.
A book that starts like this immediately puts you on the edge of your seat.
Maeve’s sadness and hopelessness really hit home, and if I could have jumped into the book to help her, I would’ve done it without hesitation.
I was curious to find out whether her past was the cause of the events in the present—and what is the secret she’s carrying?
Fortunately, Maeve has a few confidants—but can they really be trusted, or have they betrayed her? Who does she need to protect from whom?
This book is addictive. I finished it in one day because I just couldn’t put it down until I had uncovered everything from A to Z.
All’s well that ends well… or is it...? 5 stars
Thank you.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. This was probably the best thriller I've read this year. Although I predicted most of the twists, when they were revealed, they were still skillfully done. The book was incredibly emotive (which is unusual for this genre), tense (it took awhile after finishing the book for my heart to leave my mouth) and I was gripped throughout. Absolutely loved it, and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Oh my god! What an outstanding book! Absolutely thrilling! Full of twists and turns. My jaw was hanging open in shock at some of these twists. This book will be sure to be a bestseller!

This book was a wild ride. It went one way then another. Rosie Walker is a great writer. She does suspense very well.

This book just didn't do it for me. Maeve wakes up to find her husband dead on their wedding day, and then just takes off to his hidden cabin,
Then we have Gilly who answers phone at a crisis hotline type thing. Honestly, these chapters just weren't interesting. She gets sucked into this one caller calling her again and eventually basically stalking her.
Then we go back in time to see how these two women are connected and how that relationship transpired.
There were just too many things in this book that seemed out of place. I just didn't find it interesting.

From the moment I picked this book up, I was hooked. I had a hard time putting it down. I even stayed up late reading and I thought I had the twist figured out but the author surprised me multiple times.
I’d highly recommend this book to anybody who loves thriller books especially ones that have twists that make you scream , “WHAT?!”
The story was a real good one, you didn’t know what was happening due to the twists making it so fast- paced I loved it!
I just LOVE books when they make you think, and then you change your mind on the characters my favourite one was Maeve originally then it switched again! The ending was one word: WOW!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me!
