A heartwarming romance with a unique twist, this book offers an insightful portrayal of an autistic character. I found the representation to be thought-provoking and refreshing, adding a depth to the story that made it all the more meaningful.

reading a book like this reminds me of how much we DO need to keep talking about these things. or including these things. or actually just including them without me having to noice and therefore make it a "thing". i learnt alot from this book even after thinking i was quite knowledgable on it. i did appreciate the way it was handled with good depth of the condition was given. alot of books that add autism can quickly tell you people are adding it for adding it sakes. or use alot of the stigmatic or cliche disorder "isms".
this character both makes a point of being knowleagble of it but also just making the characters part of the book so seemlessly that they are what tey are and that a person amongst us all who deseves a place there.
this book had all the feels. it was deep and meaningful in all the right ways. and really did make a sensitive understanding of how hard it can also be to look after someone with autism. its tough no doubt about it. but that doesnt mean its ever not worth doing. and that never mean it not worse for the person with autism to handle sometimes.
i really felt for Olivia. she gets a phone call that changes her whole life. or will do if she accepts it. because Olivias dreams are finally coming together. all shes worked for finally coming true. but then she finds herself being handed the guardianship of her brother. the brother she hasnt seen or known for years. her non verbal brother with autism. this will mean a move of both physical and emotional levels noone could prepare her for. you can feel her struggle to want desperately to do the right thing. but also know this will change her entire life and mean everything she thought she wanted might have to completely be upturned.
Lucas is a fantastic characters and i adored reading it from his POV. hes struggling with grief noone should have to go through. and yes with all the internal struggles of those with autism then has to navigate. this life change has impact most people dont have to work through. its basically going against everything someone with autism could cope with.
on arriving in Greenwillow Olivia also meet Nate. hes got his own things going on whilst also trying to be the best carer he can for Lucas.
the growing relationships in this book are wonderful. the working of autism are both important and not,it doesnt ever feel shoved in your face on any level just for shoving it in your face purposes!
this is a book about people. about learning to love, heal and lean on eachother. and as a reader i couldnt give more stars to it. it was brilliant.

Sweet story of a young woman who becomes the guardian of her 18 year old nonverbal brother with autism. Told from multiple points of view - Olivia, Lucas, and Nate, Lucas’ caregiver. It’s a story of figuring out what you really want in life, of what and who are most important. Quick read that left me with all the feels.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a fan of traditional romance. Once I read more, I started to really enjoy both romantic suspense, and romantic comedies (quite the spectrum). Sometimes, there is one book that makes you realize that you shouldn’t restrict yourself to reading a certain genre. That is this book.
I have a nephew with autism, so it makes me more cognizant of some of the struggles that they go through. While I know someone who has a child that is nonverbal, I realize that most of my concern has gone towards the parent in that scenario. This book has helped me to be able to see things from the child’s perspective, as well. Not to be a spoiler, but #TEAMLUCAS!!
I loved this book from beginning to end. Although some moments got me right in the feels, I absolutely love the ending.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

I got to read this as an ARC through NetGalley. I’d also like to thank Moxie Publishing LLC for the opportunity.
I don’t think that I have enough good things to say about this book!! I laughed, I was soooo mad about Otis, and I cried like a baby.
Olivia is on a fast track to advance her career as a lawyer when she gets a life altering call. That she’s been named the guardian of her half brother after her step mother’s death. Her brother Lucas is on the autism spectrum which comes with a ton of responsibilities. You can feel her internal struggle to want to do what’s best for her brother but also to not give up her dream.
Upon arrival to Greenwillow Olivia meets Nate, a man that is also going through his own internal struggles; while caring for Lucas and his day to day needs. As the story grows you are introduced to more of Lucas’s friends and family members of all which helps add more to the storyline but also to help educate on the aspects of autism.
The research and development of this story resulted in an extremely well put together book. A book full of so much raw emotion and growth that it has you rooting and screaming for the happy ending. A MUST read for anyone that loves a good happy cry.

I cannot recall the last time I devoured a novel like I did ‘Home’ by Leanne Treese.
It’s everything I had hoped for in a book and more.
‘Home’ is all about forgiveness, hope, love, belonging, awareness and setting one’s priorities in life right.
This book evoked all kinds of emotions, and I found a home for my heart and my craving of the power of the written word in its pages.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the e-ARC of this beautiful read.
