Oh my oh my.
This book has been hiding down my kindle long before I got organised with my reading books, I hate to think this passed me by for so long.
What a dramatic read.
I've got more and more into this authors books lately and I don't really know for sure how I came to not read this authors books, maybe its because I have so many I didn't realise what I have been missing out on.
If you were sat, minding your own business and a total stranger started to tell you that what you thought was your life, really isn't? His life as he knows it, his marriage, this is what has happened to Adam in just the instant.
This sets off a domino effect where brick by brick things fall apart.
Its an absolutely stunning read.
I have read many books by Harlan Coben and have enjoyed them all. The Stranger was no different. It's a fast-paced book with lots of twists, turns and surprises. The premise of a stranger going around and telling people that someone of major importance in their life has lied about something of major importance to their relationship is admittedly a bit far-fetched. Nevertheless, it kept me reading to find out who the stranger was, and why he was doing this!! Though there were several interweaving story lines, the main story is about Adam Price and his wife Corinne. After Adam confronts Corinne about the lie told him by the stranger, she disappears, and a good portion of the rest of the book is spent trying to find out what happened to her. It's true that you have to be able to suspend belief a little bit at times, but it was interesting enough that I finished it in one day, and I can't say that about many books!
