This again was another cover pick, this author does know how to leave the reader hanging, these cliffhangers are unreal.

A unique twist on the death fantasy genre. Naomi Grim is a Grim Reaper- not death- but one of those tasked with picking up the life force of those who die.
That life-force is used to extend the life of all Grims in the Nowhere.
But when Naomi botches an important assignment she finds out that not all Grims are equal and there are some will be willing to sacrifice anything or anyone to extend their life.
A brilliant twisting tale that takes you to the beyond with wonderful sympathetic characters and a plot that wraps you in its arms and doesn't let go.

I would give this book a 2.75 star rating.

Unfortunately, I had a lot of problems with the story. First off, I thought that all the characters, with the exception of the main character, Naomi, were extremely one dimensional. For example, Bram, I kept waiting for his character to have some development but we just never got there. Also Keira is completely awful as a best friend.

I also felt that the author tried to cram to much into book one and the story would have been better served by the author slowing the plot a little and trying to further develop the characters and fleshing out scenes further.

Overall, I thought this showed a lot of promise but unfortunately, for me, this just fell a little flat.
