A Powerful Blend of Eco-Fantasy and Sci-Fi
The Cleanse: Mala combines environmental urgency with mystical storytelling in a way that really stuck with me. The book shifts between graduate students on a tropical adventure, a wise island shaman, and a corporate heiress chasing greed—and somehow weaves it all into a compelling, planet-saving quest. I liked how it made me think deeply about the damage we’re doing to the earth without it feeling preachy. The concept of Gaia crying out and ancient wisdom rising to meet the challenge was beautifully done. It was refreshing to read a sci-fi novel that centers healing instead of just destruction.

Eco-magic, greedy treasure hunters, AND giants? Count me in!
Okay okay—The Cleanse: Mala is basically what you'd get if Avatar, Moana, and Indiana Jones had a weird but brilliant lovechild. 🌊💎🌿 You’ve got wild nature vibes, mystical grandpas, diamond-obsessed corporate kids, and GIANTS (yes, actual giants). It’s trippy in the best way. I was totally vibing with the magical island feels, the urgent "save the planet" message, and the wild ride the characters go on. It’s one of those stories that makes you want to recycle harder and go hug a tree. 🌍✨💚
