this is a well written book with engaging characters. good descriptions. it was captivating and intriguing. enjoyable read.

I didn't find this as strong or as interesting as the Paris wife. There was something about McLain's first book that felt genuine and was really interesting. This was interesting but my good was the main character annoying.
