This is my first read by Jenny T. Colgan, and I rather enjoyed it.
An interesting and fun adventure. There's a little bit of everything in RESISTANCE IS FUTILE - there's a bit of drama, some SF/science thriller/mystery aspects, and also a dash of romance.
Much fun, something to read if you're looking for something light but not "fluff".

There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.

This was a diversion from the usual Jenny Colgan genre that I am used to. This is more sci fi which isn’t one of my comfort zones.
The main character Connie is wonderfully quirky and written with Jenny Colgan’s usual wit and warmth. She’s offered a research position and has to work as part of a team trying to crack a mystery. There is a romance element.
Overall I enjoyed the read- but still prefer the usual romance and beach and café settings!

I haven't read anything by this author before, but I have heard of her as a 'chick lit' writer. Well, this book is more sci-fi than romance, although there is some of that too. I thought the story was good, particularly the maths parts which must have taken a lot of research, but the writing was odd in places, particularly where the story veers off into detail about the most minor characters, adding nothing to the story. I didn't really get the 'romance' either, but maybe that's just me.
Review of an advance digital copy from the publisher.
