This was a supernatural YA book and as such out of my normal comfort zone.
Esme is sent to live with her grandmother and there is a mystery. She was having trouble at school and following an incident she goes to her grandma’s. She’s not keen to go as she has vague, uncomfortable memories of her house. It takes a little while to get into the book and there are ghosts with a romance and murderous ghosts but everyone else acts as though she is invisible. It leaves you to wonder whether she is still alive, whether she is invisible. I’m not sure that I totally engaged with the characters- but I know that this wasn’t my usual choice of genre.
