This is essentially an academic text about vegetarianism, which I found interesting, but a little repetitive/belaboured. Each chapter approaches the issue from a different perspective, or focuses on a different aspect of vegetarianism and its ethics.

As a vegetarian for 25 years, who cooks meat for my carnivorous family I found it interesting, however some of the ethical arguments are predicated on an American style, industrial approach to farming, which simply isn't the case here in Ireland, so it seemed that the writers were trying to convince readers of practices which are common place here.
