I can't believe while sorting out some of my books I'd gotten behind on that I hadn't read this one. I'd had it forever. Trying to put right my terrible back log of books and playing catch up I'm trying to read one old, on recent. sometimes I don't know why I make plans like that as they never happen.
This has been a pretty easy read as I only started yesterday and finished today. It's less than 300 pages so something to dive into and fly through.
An interesting read, that kept me going through the pages wanting to know the whys, and how's of everything.
Doug Mullen, an ex soldier has now turned to private investigative work. He's a new PI on the block.
He's looking into the death of a man found drowned. there seems to be something rather odd behind this and he doesn't think it was just an accident.
A great read to get stuck into.
It took me a while to get round to reading this and on the whole it was good but I would perhaps have like to know more about some of the characters ... I felt it kind of got a little lost half way through but still held my interest and need to know the outcome. A 3.5 star read for me
This book had A LOT going on. Maybe a little too much, as it was hard to follow at times and it felt like parts of the plot didn't really need to be there. It was a fairly enjoyable read but I think a more stripped back version would have worked better.
I was kindly sent a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
