Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.
After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.
I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.
It was kind of cliched but I did enjoy it, it was fun to read and the characters were interesting, but it wasn't amazing, I would recommend it to people who enjoy contemporary books, and if they don't mind cliches
I wasn't enamoured with Leila Sales' undoubtedly successful first novel, but the premise of this book made me hopeful for some improvement. Unfortunately, lightning struck twice and it transpires that Sales' writing style just doesn't work for me. It's clunky, clogged, uninspiring and wastes huge potential. I can see why the book has done well with American audiences - its gallivanting, ever-so-slightly unbelievable chain of events and coincidental character meetings will suit fans of David Levithan and Rachel Cohn's Dash and Lily's Book of Dares or John Green's Paper Towns - but it wasn't to my taste.
