This was my favorite book of the series so far. I was excited for all of the main characters to finally be coming together even if I don't think much headway was made toward the prophecy. I loved Kane even more than I did in the first book because the side of him that needs to dominate Caitlin comes out to play a lot more, and let's be honest, that's hot. For so much of the book I was incredibly frustrated with what was happening to their relationship because with Caitlin's return to to VCU neither one could trust the other. And it's only made worse by those around them always making them second guess the other.

But it was all worth it with that ending. There were betrayals, and twists, and surprises that proved my guesses completely wrong. And I loved it.
