"I still wonder how I got there from cream soda and pizza pops."

Take It as a Compliment is a collection of short comics that display the diverse issues surrounding sexual assault, abuse, and harassment. It explores a diverse range of experiences: across the gender spectrum, straight and gay, from one to multiple assaults; by strangers and trusted people. This collection is very, very important and full of emotion. The illustrations show a great use of color and blending to illustrate concepts such as being drugged.

This book is like a slap in the face. Especially for a woman. It's hard to watch and read, and marvelous at the same time. Perfect colors, simple drawings but with a huge impact on the reader. Definitely something everyone should read!

This is such a powerful graphic novel. All of these stories are so raw, and so real
