I enjoyed this book. I liked the setting in Cornwall and found the surfing really interesting. Well written with good characters.Recommended.

I thought this would be really interesting as it's set in my homeland of Cornwall. I loved the gritty, ballsy writing and the perspective of the teen boy really worked for me.

I love surfing YA and Kook was a real thrill. I only didn't give it a higher rating because there were some decisions the characters made that just didn't sit right with me. That's all.

This book was a good contemporary read with a bit of substance and depth, more than simply just a love story. I enjoyed the fact that this came from a UK author, set in Cornwall because I would like to read more authors form my country. The premise of this book is quite rare, as I've never come across another book about surfing, particularly set over here. However, the story itself was nothing more than okay. None of the characters really stood out for me and unfortunately I couldn't rate it any higher than 3 stars.
