The book was archived before our group could download it. We are sure that we would have enjoyed the book judging from the reviews it has received.

I really enjoyed ‘This Raging Light’ which tells the story of a girl abandoned by her parents in traumatic circumstances to bring up her younger sister. This could have made for a depressing plot, but like the Dylan Thomas poem, she does not ‘go gentle’ and instead rages for not just survival, but a life full of light, friendships and even love.

I found the main characters very sympathetic and like many YA books read the whole book in just a couple of sittings as I wanted to find out what would happen. I think lots of my students would enjoy reading This Raging Light, and look forward to recommending it.
