Elaine v, Educator
This is the first Irving book I've read, and it certainly won't be the last. The naive, open voice captured me right from the beginning, and didn't let go until the end. The original characters were alive and well-drawn, including the very minor ones. Lupe, Juan Diego's sister, is an especially memorable--and funny--character.
