Jane Austen by Brian Wilks is pretty short biography, and the most interesting book of that genre that I have read. I was surprised how easy it was to read.
I expected a study, and they can be quite boring, but I have flew trough this book.
The author tries to be as objective as he can be in his studies, and his main focus is on letters that Jane wrote to her sister.
I liked to see that side of her.

Before going into this book I only watched Becoming Jane and I loved it, so I was afraid that Jane Austen would be boring to me, but I ended up liking it.

I thought this was not very well written, and I'm afraid I did not finish it.
