[DRC was in a format I couldn't read, had to wait until after it was published to read.]

GOLD FAME CITRUS is a near-future novel set in a parched California. It follows Luz and Ray, two people who have decided to forgo evacuation and scrape together an existence in Luz's mansion, subsisting on whatever they can scavenge and loot. It's very well-written, and the characters are well-drawn. If you enjoy literary post-apocalyptic novels (e.g., California, Station Eleven, etc.), then I'd recommend this as well.

There was much to enjoy here, but I found I couldn't connect with it. I'd read more from this author in the future though.
