This was a lighthearted , funny and easy read. I needed.a book like this after just reading a very uncomfortable book before this one. Four weddings and a funeral had me laughing out loud at times.

I have to admit that I have never read any other books by Catherine Ferguson, but that is going to change, having just finished this amusing and satisfying story about wedding photographer Katy Peacock. Poor Katy has it all going on, from worries about her debt to ex Dominic and the strange behaviour of her mother, to suspicions that her best friend’s partner may not be ideal husband material. On top of that, she is trying to cope with the demands of her business without any assistance since her sister and one time partner, Sienna, left her in the lurch. Things are beginning to look up when not one but two interesting men turn up in her life, but even then obstacles get in the way.

I really enjoyed this light romantic story as it follows Katy through a year of weddings, all of which present challenges in different ways and add to the overall humour present in the book. I found myself laughing out loud at several points. The author has built some very engaging supporting characters and a variety of interesting situations. I can definitely recommend this book as a light-hearted and feel-good read bound to cheer up even the dullest day.

Four weddings and a fiasco was an entertaining read with plenty of drama and emotion beneath the lighthearted edge.

It was fairly enjoyable whilst I was reading it, but not particularly memorable, so would probably be a good holiday read.
