The second outing for DCI Michael Lambert and a with more depth and insight into returning/recurring characters a better read. It's grittiness, pacing and misdirection make it a gripping read

My bad, I have had this book to read for far too long. Undecided and what to read next I decided to go with one of my older books. I'm so glad I did. this book is book 2 so I was getting familiar again with the main character.
'Brolly certainly knows what his readers want. Once started this is one of those books you want to carry on with and when you reach the end wish you could unread it and start again.
Another great story line with twists and everything you want from a police procedural.

The characters are good and believable and I really do believe I'm going to see a lot more of Michael Lambert and I look forward to learning more about him.

Dead lucky by matt brolly.
When a woman is murdered, the twisted killer forcing her husband to watch her slow and painful death, DCI Michael Lambert knows that his next case might be his toughest yet.
And when a second set of killings are discovered, with exactly the same MO, the race is on the find the lethal sociopath before he strikes again.
But Lambert never expected to receive an anonymous call from the killer. This time, it’s personal: if Lambert doesn’t find the murderer soon, his own loved ones will be next…
A very good read. I liked the story and the characters. Looking forward to next one. 4*. Netgalley and hq digital.
