No huge twists or surprises. Pretty much guessed the ending (we all did!) But regardless, I still enjoyed.
This is a very light mystery that reads extremely fast. A nice break from all the dark thrillers I have been reading lately.
Irritating enough to keep you reading as you try and figure out how the hell these two have managed to stay together for 20 years... Prolific readers will figure out whodunnit very early on.
This is a case of, do you really know your husband.
Sarah and her husband have to return to a sick relative in the hometown he was raised, his aunt who raised him is now sick.
Sarah is aware that her husband's parents died when he was just fifteen years old, but hes not told her the mystery and secrets surrounding his family.
The long buried secrets emerge bit by bit and I was totally shocked at the end, it took me unawares.
I did enjoy the story, but not as much as others that flowed much better than this by the same author.
I suppose with an author with this standing you expect more and more, this one was a 3.5 for me personally as at times I wasn't bothered if I picked it up or not and didn't play on my mind to keep reading like others I have read.

Another completely intriguing book from Heather Gudenkauf. I would definitely recommend this for my book group.
